Good price draft ale. However Remember to pay for parking even when staff say exempt machine isn't working.

This pub has got to be the worst pub iv been in iv been twice both times made to be very uncomfortable me and 3 of my friends sat down I had a coke no alcohol then a door man come up and asked us all for I ID so all my mates showed theirs I had forgotten mine so he asked to get mine understandably as my friends had alcoholic drinks So I went home got mine then come back and showed him all fine then a women bouncer come storming over asking to see all our IDs so we show her them she starts saying my friends is fake when It most definitely wasn't we said it’s not different to any of the other IDs she wasn’t having any of it she starts making my friend pull up her facebook for some reason the other bouncer comes overs and tells her nothing is wrong with our IDs so she walked off and we left as it so unprofessional and rude all the staff apart from one doorman had no manners

It was my first visit for many years and was plesently surprised the pub appears to have done very well and sponsor charity events quite often on my visit they had a prostate awareness event and of course having an on site sea food stall.Good job to the ownership.

Decent local pub no restaurant but staff are good and fair selection of beer at good prices - couple of pool tables sport on TV also has live music and outside seating .

Experienced very rude staff here. A friend of mine wouldn't serve me drinks because her ID was supposedly 'fake'. After trying to explain it calmly, we were sent away.

No food but we were allowed to bring food in with us. Good band.

Great value drinks. This is a 'wet pub' so doesn't serve food. Can find not everything is available. By 9pm on a Saturday they'd run out of the guest ale and they couldn't make cocktails as they'd run out of necessary ingredients!

Brilliant to have a dog friendly pub and competitively priced drinks. Would have got 5 stars if they served gluten free lagers. Since writing this review the Management now stock Gluten Free Peroni. This is now my new local 👍😉

Great pub with great atmosphere

Ideal family pub with a lovely atmosphere. The owners do everything they can to make it a meeting place for the community with games nights, quiz nights and live music as well as darts boards and pool tables. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

We went on a Sunday evening, when it was very quiet, for a quick drink with friends. I know my Son goes a lot and has great things to say about it. It seems a very friendly pub, but we obviously went on a very quiet evening. All looked good & will visit again, when it is more lively.

My mates and I have been coming here for 10+ years for footie. Incredible pub, great atmosphere, always so friendly. Unbelievably cheap. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. And some unreal burger and chips from the street food van outside. Seriously unreal burger and chips. 5******

When we walked through the doors the vibe from the very few people and bar staff that was there was awful. Did not feel welcome and out of place completely.

Nice staff and good facilities I didn't eat there so can't judge b7t it was nice and clean and friendly. 2 nice pool tables and a couple of dart boards. Plenty of screens dotted around for sports too.

Had a lovely afternoon/evening at the Woodcutters with Paul Jarrom singing great songs fabulously, outside in the beautiful sunshine with lots of dancing. Friendly staff that made you feel welcome, and lots of friendly people. Can't wait untill the 29th August and join them all again. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Since being taken over this pub is lovely, dog friendly, kids allowed in until 7pm, friendly staff.

I went to meet some friends at the woodcutters the other day & It's the first time I've been back there in 6 years because the last time I went it wasn't very good in there but I have got to say since it's charged hands it's now has a nice relaxing atmosphere the staff are all very friendly and helpful also I'm on crutches because I am disabled & can't carry my own drink so the staff was very kind & Took it out to the garden where I was meeting my friends. There's a pool table in there a darts fruit machine's they do food but I didn't have the chance to look at the menu as it wasn't out but I do know they do food. They have a fresh seafood van in the car park & free car parking too & The drinks are very reasonable too. All in all a great night out.

Verty nice pub with a somewhat older, relaxed crowd on a Sat af'noon. Piped music got a bit loud but friendly barmaid turned it back down so we could talk :-) VERY GOOD VALUE!!

This pub hired out rock bands and then cancels them for being too loud and swearing too much, it’s a rock band ffs and everyone was idd on entry

Decent pub, decent prices - doesn't serve food anymore. Sea food stall in the car park and chip shop opposite caters for hungry stomachs.

Went in here to watch the football. Was a bit disappointed they didn't have the sound on but being a Friday night understood. Overall great pub, good quality beer at fantastic prices. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, all sports on internal and external televisions, good garden with kids play area and a Fantastic sea food stall called Mojos, great value for money.

Large car park. Lots of seating and icing on the cake, Doombar is still £2 a pint.

Never been here before as I'm from Kent. We had just attended a funeral and the staff here were friendly and very accommodating even with us having to follow covid restrictions.

Terrible . No food and no coffee!!!

Was good at the start of re opening.but it as slipped very bad no one way system.no social distancing.lots of kids and over 100 people inside.

Absolutely lovely place to go for a drink and have the choice of watching the rugby or football BUT as a parent I'm absolutely discusted with being kicked out!!! Because I have my children with me!!! They play outside until it gets dark then come in and sit down quietly with their friends. They've done this for years now.... with no issues at all, now it's changed hands.... its completely different. Tonight there was about 8 customers in and 12 of us... we was asked to leave because we had children with us... such a shame for a pub that was such a family oriented place not so long ago

Decent boozer for after work pint. Got told to take my hat off though when there were at least 5 other people there with hats on 🤨 regular favouritism maybe 🤷‍♂️

Was a strange atmosphere from the dozen or so customers in this spacious pub. Credit cards not accepted and every 5 minutes a deafening noise from the sound system that all the customers treated as normal. Whatever response the management make to this review, something is VERY wrong here

Nice in the day time, rough at night. Has a bit of a reputation. Wouldn't take kids there if an evening. Can get a bit rowdy outside. Regulars can be found propping the bar up as soon as the doors open

Lovely traditional pub with atmosphere

Christmas Day 2016 ..... £40 per head! ..... This was a very very good price!! We would highly recommend the Christmas dinner here! Didn't feel rushed at all .... The staff were friendly and helpful! The starter was really lovely (crayfish and prawn cocktail) ... The main course was just so delicious (turkey and all the trimmings) and the cheesecake and Christmas pudding sweets were really lovely too! All in all we had so much for our initial £40 including our first drink for free!! Thank you so much to Angie and all her staff .... We're definitely coming back next year! Thank you so much!! xxx

During my afternoon visit I found about ten customers present, and the place had a local feel to it. As such, I didn't find it the most comfortable atmosphere and whilst service was efficient I didn't feel it was overly friendly. I suspect it would likely be different in the evenings, and will update this review should I return.
