Woodcocks in West Lindsey

Stayed at the hotel on 2 occasions. Great nights sleep for both. Had breakfast in the morning.. full range of breakfasts very reasonably priced.

We stayed here and had dinner. Lovely room. Very clean and comfortable. Dinner was delicious and there was a separate gluten free menu.

Prompt friendly service. The food was served in a timely fashion, it was tasty, the right amount. Couldn't ask for more. Definitely worth another visit

Went for breakfast. Can't complain on price when a fully breakfast gets you access to all the continental stuff too. Tasty food, didn't feel cheap and staff were lovely.

Very slow service. Took 40 minutes for food to arrive and then took 40 minutes for our plates to be collected after the mains.

Spent my birthday weekend here and after pay £114 for a room we was left very disappointed. To say we travel around staying at different places this by far was the worse. I’m not one to leave reviews but I had paid extra for a double room and we end up with 2 single beds. Then we went for our evening meal and the food came out cold and was not nice at all no even came round to ask how our food was! I wouldn’t even call it pub food it was not how a meal should be.

Today was the first meet up of the newly founded Burton Waters Arts & Crafts group. The Woodcocks pub where absolutely brilliant to accommodate our group of 8 ladies in a slightly more private area in the conservatory. All the staff were amazing. Many Thanks!

Simply had to leave a review. We had a couple of minor issues with our food order but, and this is the main reason for leaving a review, the staff excelled in dealing with the issues. End result? Everyone had an enjoyable meal. Thank you Woodcocks, superb customer service 👍😁

Lovely spot near the canal with lots of outdoor seating. Staff were very friendly but a bit rushed, with long chaotic queues at the bar twice when I was in there. The food is edible, but very processed and ordinary. Healthy options are minimal unless you want a lacklustre, slightly soggy salad. I wouldn’t recommend it for a meal but a pint in the beer garden is pleasant.

Good food and atmosphere. Would like to see a specials board back.

Me and the wife Just had steak Americano absolutely rubbish steak was very dry onion rings, overcooked left most off it just paid under £70 including drinks wont be going back there again.

"There's disabled access" with a step about 4 inches high going into the building . So, it's not an independent entrance , so if I was alone in my electric chair, I couldn't enter without help . Which I had . My friends fish was cold but the staff sorted it asap. Very nice place to go to . Everyone enjoyed the experience

A very friendly ,professional place . Food is spot on ...we had the breakfast twice and an evening meal , all came piping hot and delicious . We stayed for 2 nights and the hotel part of it is also excellent ...spotless room and nice and quiet .

Frustrating that on Sunday lunchtime there was such a long delay

Very poor quality food, chunky steak pie without any chunks, looked like mince and was very glupy. Complained didn't eat it or pay for it, manager was very unhelpful terrible customer service. Will not be eating there again.

We have stayed here before as we enjoy cycling along the canal. Woodcocks is an ideal place to relax and enjoy good food after a busy day. Four nights we stayed this time and as usual were well looked after at Woodcocks. But the star was Kelly! Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was friendly, chatty and so helpful. A lovely, genuine person…she made our stay so memorable. Thank you Kelly. Any company would be proud to have you. Chris and Sharon Hull.

We ordered at the bar as was easier for us. We had two mega mixed grills and wow the food was incredible such good value for money on the amount of food you get, we could have probably shared one between two. But thats not a negative. Really happy and will be back again.

The food was ok. Friend's food was hot, mine was tepid. The service was the problem. Wholly disinterested staff, slow and grudging when asked after 15 minutes if we could order. Took ages to clear the first course and acted like the pub was packed and they didn't know which table we were at, when in fact there was only one other table left when we went to pay. Staff need better training.

Food used to be lovely here but last 2 visits the food has gone right off. Overcooked and dried out

We came for a Sunday roast. I had roast chicken and my husband had roast turkey. We ordered at the bar and were told that there was a 45 min wait on food, not a problem they were fully booked and outside was busy too. We enjoyed our drinks and the food was lovely. My only disappointment was that they had run out of cranberry sauce which we both love with our dinner

Service was good - friendly waitress- food arrived before expected waiting time- thoroughly enjoyed the meal and drinks - Kelly as always was attentive and sure our bill was correct before taking payment - nice to have a return visit

Chicken burger was so burnt and dry and couldn't even cook...friends mushey peas right,, and service not friendly atall

Overall very good Steak meal was close to perfect and drink was good also. Used Order and Pay though and had a loyalty number, but the link to use the loyalty number needs to be made more prominent as unfortunately I missed it and had to pay full price, which was a little disappointing.

We are both pensioners, and the 30% discount give us a chance to have a couple of date times together.

The meals were good, all hot and a good amount of food. Staff were friendly not overly attentive, just right. Enjoyed our visit will come again

From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and delicious so hats off too the chefs we had a main and dessert and will be definitely be back. I'm so glad that I precooked a table as it was full and I can see why. This place is a real gem.

There were 9 of us including 4 children and the restaurant was very busy. I was impressed by how the staff were unphased by this and remained efficient, friendly and professional throughout. This really contributed to our experience and enjoyment of the meal.

I was impressed with the ordering system via smartphone from my table. Food and drinks arrived very quickly and was delicious. We will certainly be back!

When we arrived we were very impressed from the outside it looked really nice and clean , But unfortunately the front of house staff let it down we stood at the host stand waited to be seated where there was two girls stood chatting , once they finished their conversation one girl finally acknowledged us to say sit anywhere , which I didn't think was professional or welcoming I had to help myself to a kids menu and crayons ect , when I found a table the next table was full of dirty plates and glasses , which it never got cleared until we had finished our food the restaurant wasnt busy they had plenty of staff on to clear it. When I went up to the bar to order food a young girl was on her phone at the end of the bar I waited for a little while to see if I would get acknowledged in the end I ended up asking her if she was serving her response was yes sorry it's part of my job to be on my phone which I thought was a strange response, while serving I felt her mannerisms weren't great it was like she was annoyed that I had taken away from her phone and she seemed like she really didn't want to be there , when the food finally arrived it was average , the food was lovely and hot and the sides were lovely ( garlic bread and hollumi fries ) but the burger was a let down the chicken burger was over cooked and the bun was burnt hash brown was soggy the BBQ sauce was more like tomato sauce and the gravy was very watery and tasted weird, we never got asked if everything was ok , we were goin to stay for dessert but we decided against it when we left we never even got a goodbye , its a shame because I think we could of made it a regular visit if the staff we're more welcoming

Greeted at the door by a courteous staff member and escorted to our table where she promptly took our drinks order then when she brought them back to us took our food order. Very efficient member

All I'm going to say is , Trains Trains Trains 🚆 😒 all night long , if your staying overnight make sure you book a room facing the car park , 😀 don't say I didn't warn you peeps 😉 👍

Great Sunday lunch, great people

Could not fault Woodcocks. Despite being very busy, the service was quick and the food hot, plentiful and very good. Very pleasant staff too.

Great service, friendly and helpful staff. We were with a disabled relative, and the staff member moved us to a more accessible table without being asked, which was much appreciated. Lovely food and reasonably priced.

I love Woodcocks, the menu has lots of choice for everyone and the food is always presented well. I bring my family and friends here because I know we won’t be disappointed. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Food was ok . The service was poor. Half our table of 15 didn't receive their starter . When raised ,nobody seemed to be aware. When it finally arrived, some were very over cooked. Staff seemed disorganised, nobody appeared to be coordinating. It took over 3 hours to get all our courses. I know it was Christmas day, very busy, possibly too many covers to manage and inexperienced staff.

I had a lovely meal for two. My partner is a big lad & I needed a table with room & we got this. We had the starters & main course & all was very tasty & ample portions. Very good service too throughout.

This was a last minute booking for Sunday lunch with family. The food was delicious. I had the roast chicken and it was fabulous and very filling. The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic family meal out at Woodcocks. We were a table of 15 and looked after by Amy who was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent.

We enjoyed our visit and had everything we needed, although the duvet could have been a little bigger. Food was lovely, cooked to order and hot. Excellent atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Would happily book another stay there. Many visiting places within easy reach.

Our first visit and was pleasantly surprised. Head and shoulders above similar establishments offering the same service. Staff helpful, food hot and plentiful and in a perfect location.

Easy to book a table on line. Greeted at the door by a staff member who shows you to a table. Staff serve you at your table for drinks & food orders. Food very nice & hot. About a 40 min wait but the pub was busy. Paid at the bar. Nice big free car park. Would recommend a visit.

A good sized pub in a great location with a nice sized outdoor play area. Food was typical standard pub fayre and ok, with a reasonable gluten free selection. Service was a little hit & miss, but it was just after Christmas when we went. A big plus point, is how dog friendly the place is. We'll call again, as it's handy for meeting family and near to work for me

We had the festive menu because when we booked online it was implied that we had no choice but to. So when we saw others ordering from the normal menu we were disappointed as we would’ve preferred that. To add to our disappointment we then found our food to be below standard. Some of our group had the lamb shank and it arrived as if it were a soup, swimming in gravy. My father couldn’t eat his so swapped it with my husband’s as he had slightly less gravy. I had the turkey and it too was well below standard. All the ingredients on my plate seemed old and not freshly cooked. The roast potatoes was particularly hard and well overcooked making them inedible. We were all utterly disappointed that we’d paid above the odds for a Boxing Day meal which was way below the standard of your normal food. As emergency service workers we usually benefit from having a bluelight card discount. We were told it wasn’t accepted on the festive menu. We totally understand this but this along with the fact that we had a poor and expensive meal rubbed salt in our wounds. I would’ve complained on the night but I didn’t want to have cross words on a family occasion and on Boxing Day. I wanted it to be a happy event. This is the first time we’ve paid to go out over the festive period and we won’t be again. We don’t want to risk it.

A nice, cosy venue. I haven't eaten here, as I came for a networking event. However, I had coffee from the self-serve bean-to-cup machine and can only say that I'll be having tea next time!

We have just had a family get together for Christmas at Woodcocks Lincoln. There were 20 of us so a big group to look after. Some of us had the festive set menu and some had meals off the main menu. Everybody’s food came out at the same time, was lovely and hot. I had the festive 3 course menu for £22.99 and it was fantastic value for money. All 3 courses were large in size. The turkey was proper turkey with a really good selection of veg. The staff were brilliant and the service was really good. i have been to 3 other restaurants recently for Christmas meals and Woodcocks has been the best yet for taste and value. Definitely recommend.

So we attended Breakfast with santa. It was brilliant! I couldn’t recommend enough! Worth every penny. The staff were brilliant nothing was too much. Santa, Elf and Grinch did an amazing job! We were so lucky to be last to see Santa because we got a photo with everyone! Even being the last ones they didn’t rush us at all. Credit where credit is due for everyone involved.

My wife and I have visited Woodcocks many times recently as we found it to be very pleasant. Nice location, good choice and standard of food, location and decent prices.

For lovely cheap food, buy one get one free, that's so much better than normal cheap pub grub. With a huge selection on the menu plus a specials board as well. And all in lovely surroundings with lots of free parking. Also plenty of seating areas in the garden to eat outside. There's also a pick and mix children's menu. And when the little ones have finished eating there's a play area for them. We have always had good service and food here.

We had a Xmas lunch for our Walking Football Club (Lincoln Invictus) for 51 people. The food and service was fantastic and huge congratulations Kerry, Matt and the team for making it a fabulous afternoon and have already received messages on saying how much they enjoyed it. 4 of us was there last night and it wasn't very good at all. My medium rare was well done and hard to chew, my wife's sirloin was more like a medium!/well done when she wanted a rare. We was waiting far too long for service. The ladies toilet cubicles had sick on the wall and floor. Not at all like the last ti. E we dined there, years ago. Didn't comment then as we shall never go there again

Went yesterday for our Christmas Lunch on Our 36th Wedding Anniversary and sat at our favourite table No 39. Brilliant service, excellent food and plentiful. Will always be a favourite for us all year round. Happy Christmas to all the Staff.

Booked for sons 18th birthday meal, excellent customer service from the two ladies serving us and the lad behind the bar was also fantastic. Overall very accommodating, food was brilliant out in a timley manner. The waitress helped us with takeaway tubs to take cake and cupcakes away for the guests, nothing was too much trouble. Woodcocks is one of our go to pubs in Lincoln always a guarentee the food, service and good value is always had. We will be back soon and always recommend woodcocks to Friends and family.

Top staff stayed in hotel next door lovely rooms

Nice food .... service was a bit slow, and maybe some rules should be in place to stop the children running around your table screaming while you are eating. They were just children doing what children do.
