The food and service was great except seeing the chef washing the plates after was disgusting as the plates and cutlery were in the sink and straight out without wiping them and put on the rack to dry

Bad service charges customers a tip of 10€ and doesn't let customers get the bill

The food and the service was superb. It is not the cheapest place to eat a Turkish meal but you do get what you pay for.

Very bad service. They made a mistake by adding an extra item which we didn’t order and didn’t receive and they expected us to pay for it. They wanted us to pay for their mistakes!!!! They also gave us a wrong order. Extremely bad service with unprofessional people. Do not recommend at all.

Visited on a Saturday evening. Was very loud, couldn't hear my companion speak due to large party on another table. Food was OK but portion size has reduced and price increased compared with previous visits.

Ordered a platter today for Father's day, the meat was okay, wasn't v tender n well seasoned. Service was friendly but not fast.

We recently visited this restaurant after not having been for a while. Food was tasty and the menu had a lot to choose from. The service was friendly and attentive. However, we found this restaurant to be incredibly overpriced in comparison to other local Turkish restaurants in the area. For example, I think charging £27 for a bottle of wine that costs £6 in the supermarket is completely unacceptable - I know you have to charge corkage and mark the price up but I think this is extortionate. Secondly, as we were in a larger group, the waiter proceeded to try and push us to have another bottle by coming over to our table with the bottle in hand, which I also thought was rude. We found the portion sizes to be small and not as plentiful as it once was. The last thing to comment on was the platter which used to be between £35-45 but now gone up to £89! I understand the cost of living/food prices have gone up, but I urge the restaurant to rethink the prices as I feel that they will continue to lose loyal customers such as myself. Unfortunately, I won’t be visiting again in a hurry.

Really bad...both meals ordered at the same time yet only one came on it's own and the other 20mins later whilst manager stood there picking his nose the whole time..meat was old and tasted really bad..overcharged & overpriced..by far the worst place EVER. Dont waste your time and money.

Ok turkish restaurant, they own two in Woodford, l prefer their other resturant, your have to make that call.

Tasty food, great service, a variety offered in the menu and the location is central meaning easy access to the restaurant.

Went here last minute on mother's day late lunch. Restaurant had a lovely relaxing decor. From the man who greeted us to all the other staff members, were all polite & friendly. Food from starters to mains were well presented & good size portions. I didn't like the wine I was given, no problem the waiter got another bottle of wine & anohher glass opened it in front of me & asked if it was OK. Very accommodating & professional. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Fantastic restaurant friendly service and excellent quality food.

Not a bad restaurant but for the prices the service and offer leaves a lot to be desired. I'm used to Turkish restaurants and really liked the grill options. We went as a group and the place was half empty but with limited staff. When we did order, found the prices to be a bit on the high side but not extortionate. Ordered mixture of individual plates and special platters with wine. When they came, there was very little in the way of salad and no bread to accompany the meals. There was no standard Turkish style cold starters or bread offered with the meals. Not a bad place but I'm unlikely to go back here given the choice over other Turkish restaurants.

Food was really nice, but not outstanding. We've had better Turkish food for a cheaper price nearby at The Olive in Leytonstone. Decor is a tad outdated and garish, nevertheless we had an enjoyable meal. They have big tables for families and smaller tables for intimate eating. I wouldn't go here for a date night, more like family time with kids etc. Prices are a little steep for what you get, especially considering I could get the same platter in Whitechapel (near Central) for £22 whereas here it cost £50. One thing to point out is that they have a mandatory service charge. We overheard another table asking if service charge could be taken off, they were refused and were forced to pay the amount plus service charge.

Good food and reasonable value for money.

I should of known the quality of this restaurant would be poor by the fact there wasn’t that glorious smell an authentic Turkish restaurant has on entrance. Neatheraless we sat down and ordered and hoped for the best. Unfortunately every element of the meal was poor. The complimentary bread was cold and possibly stale. The starters falafel and sucuk arrived within two minutes of ordering and had clearly been microwaved. They were truly awful and a supermarket’s version would of been preferable. The main meat platter costing £50 consisted mainly of chicken wings and fatty grisly lamb. The meat was tasteless, meagre and of poor quality. Never have I ever had such a poor attempt of Turkish cooking. On leaving I looked into the kitchen to see they were cooking on a gas grill rather then over wood or charcoal as you would expect. Please don’t waste your time or money as there are so many fantastic Turkish restaurants offering substantial better quality and value.

Have visited here regularly. They always have a table for us. Friendly staff. Clean tables. Food is delicious. Prices are probably the standard. A shish kebab will cost you £13.90 and will come as seen in the picture. Only downside was the cleanliness of the male toilet, that did not appear to have been cleaned recently. CASH ONLY. There are nearby cash points.

We arrived here on 3r of may 2021 bank holiday, I cannot explain the disappointment I had seen from this restaurant, normally I would have not chosen this Turkish restaurant due to living in Leyton I usually prefer to travel to Harringay and have a wider range of foods, but I and my friend decided to go somewhere a bit more local the lamb shish was a disgrace more more fat cooked than meat itself, being Turkish myself! I understood everything the waiter had spoken i.e he said to another waiter people have no brains sitting outside in the cold :)) excuse me but during this lockdown your making money from people eating outside in the cold and not even providing any sort of blanket or heating facilities of any sort we chose to come and just wanted to have a meal but you ruined our afternoon When we asked for Turkish Tea waited for 10min I then decided to get up and pay for the bill , the waiter then said that the water had finished :))) Nx to our table there was a table which had been celebrating a birthday when they asked for the bill the waiters had said this doesn’t include service charge so they were expecting a tip, a tip is given accordingly to the good service you give , your service does not meet regular standards and the the price that you charge, There are many other Turkish restaurants that provide better foods and at a better service and price if your willing to travel a few miles xtra

We had the sigara boregi to start, which was a generous portion and really tasty. I then had the vegetarian kebab while my partner had the falafel. These were both delicious and huge portions, plus the bread and dips they bring. This was our "pre lockdown part 2" meal out and glad we went here - hopefully it won't be too long before they are open again

Just ate here and I loved it, the food was amazing the waiter was nice and polite the service was good and the place was nice and clean.

The Food was wonderful, The waiter Adel he was a Proffesional waiter he done everything right he served us very good and a very polite waiter. I would always wish to come hear again.

Issue with getting a receipt for everything(cash only which we knew) manager reluctant to give correct receipt to include the wine, very strange something not right, also had to ask for the bread for the starters, and included with main, waitress was under pressure, dirty plates piled high at kitchen hatch, apart from hand sanitiser no track & trace, when challenged, told fmy friend was too busy to ask customers to complete, avoid at present.

I must say that i am giving 2 starts despite the food being fabulous because the restaurant is NOT COVID SAFE! The waiters and waitress did not wear any mask or gloves nor did the manager. The only thing kept in the name of safety measure was a sanitizer at the door. I have been to one restaurant before and they were wearing gloves masks and even face shields so i was very unhappy and not feeling safe enough to dine in.

The food was nice, but the portion size for the price is ridiculous. Their website states that they deliver but when I made contact, they said that they didn’t.

Host, manager or whatever he is, he just crossed the street from the grocery store and threw his bubble gum wrap on the street.

Owner/manger rude and they have bring your own bottle scheme but they charge you £10 to drink your own bottle of wine!! Times must really be hard because that's ridiculous!! Oh not to forget the £2.50 you also have to pay to use a glass!! Food was meh ok I've had better !

Despite the recent refurbishment, the restaurant has no wheelchair accessible toilets and no ramp (not even portable) to the entrance!!! As a wheelchair user, I visited the restaurant yesterday and wanted to use the toilets...only to find that none of the available cubicles were accessible! This is disgraceful and there is no excuse for it. When refurbishing, the owners were under legal duty to ensure that the facilities were compliant with the Part M Regs and the Equality Act 2010.

Be careful, the menu prices for the mains differ on the website , i opted for a swordfish steak shown at 14.90 at the restaurant 17.90! The food is good and the garlic mushrooms and falafel for starters, both lovely. Downside, they are not on the 'eat out, 'help out' gov scheme.

My three kids went out for lunch for the first time in 4 months to The Wood Oven. Experience was terrible, firstly note that they are not taking part in the 50% off scheme, even though the waiter told them they only do it on Monday and Wednesday, not Tuesdays, I have just queried this with the manager who said they didn't understand, all three of the kids heard the waiter and he refused to believe me. The food was not brilliant and my daughters meal ordered of fish with baby potatoes, well there were no potatoes and no alternative offered, and again the manager didn't believe me and said they did offer an alternative, his word against mine really. The kids didnt want to cause a scene and left First time eating here and last, terrible service, abrupt manager and the food is below average, the manager could do with a customer service course, no apology just blamed the kids instead. Will not be going back and please note they DO NOT tell you they are NOT taking part in the scheme, you only find out when you get the bill.

Ordered and paid for a large chicken shish take away and I received a small one. Taste was awful. Absolutely disappointed will never return again. The management/owner needs to improve this service before orders drop due to poor quality control.

Customer service is a joke! Very rude and all staff look like they dont want to be there, went for a birthday dinner and spent a fair amount too. AVOID!!

We waited 20 minutes for our food to arrive, when it arrived they had got my order totally wrong (the waiter offered no apology and was quite rude) so I had to wait another 15 minutes too 20 minutes for my correct order to arrive when my friends had almost finished their meals leaving me eating on my own. They also refuse to accept cards to pay the bill. Any establishment these days that refuses to accept cards for payment is dodgy and you should stay well clear of. They fiddle all their taxes and the cash is straight into their pockets.

Brought our mains same time as starters and then argued that we ordered at same time. Were so rude there after. Don’t deserve regular customers. So ignorant.

We went to the wood oven kitchen for a friend’s birthday. (It seems there are two restaurants with virtually the same name but on opposite sides of the road, so ended up in the wrong restaurant at first) The service was good but the food was standard. I wouldn’t go back to dine but maybe would consider ordering for take away purposes as the prices are reasonable.

Great food, I can’t fault the food. The Octopus was a little tough and dry and would be great if they could chop them to cook but otherwise I have been a few times and everything I have had has been superb. You can taste the fresh Mediterranean flavours especially in the seafood. The vibe is lovely, warm and cosy and very spacious compared to the annex restaurant down the road. The staff were ok but not particularly friendly, their customer services were a little rigid. They were polite but I have seen more friendly staff elsewhere especially at their annex. Value for money is perfect and portions are huge. Be sure to leave with a full belly. Will certainly go back.

Another vote for the wood oven platter. I'm glad I don't live too near this place as my weight would balloon as there is so much choice and everything tastes delicious. Staff can be a bit hit or miss with regards to how they greet you, but this doesn't stop me visiting.

The waiter was a really rude with us. We were there for lunch at 11:30am and he just tell us to get out cause they open at 12! The service is horrible! The food is really nice ..

The waiter was annoying as he got our order wrong twice and argued about it but the food was yummy afterwards.

Every time I visit this restaurant it never disappoints. The staff are extremely attentive and always friendly. Everything I’ve eaten on the menu I enjoy which is why I come back more indecisive each time! A lovely little Turkish restaurant, definitely my favourite in the area! Can’t wait to return soon!

The food is amazing, price is good. The only thing is that they don't serve bulgar which is one of my favorites. The place is so popular they have two restaurants opposite each other! They serve the food pretty quick and is fresh.

We have been to this place a number of times and the food is so good. We always get the hummus to start with (with warm bread and dips), which in itself would be good enough to be a main. Then we move on to a chicken shish kebab, which is served with grilled vegetables, cucumber/tomato/onion salad and rice. The chicken is so succulent and tender, so good! We have never been disappointed.

Family of 4 ordered a platter and other bits and pieces. When the bill came we noticed we were overcharged for the platter. The waiter said that was the correct price and got the menu to show us. The menu had the price that we said and he immediately tore up the menu and produced another menu with a higher price. We said we were only paying the price that we were initially shown and we were told you are the food and you have to pay the new price. The manager arrived and also refused to change the price. We paid the price for what we originally saw and left the shop. I would not return even if the food was free. Diners BEWARE. This is not to be confused with Wood Oven on the corner next to EE shop as there 2 on this road this the little Wood oven.

When we arrived to eat tonight we were asked to move from the original seat to accomodate a group reservation, we happily complied. When this group arrived it consisted of 15 drunken males who thought it was ok to shout at each other and burst into chants.Our complaints were met with pitiful smiles and the group were not challenged at all. We asked to be moved as the yobbish noise was ruining our meal. On our third request we were moved to the front of the restaurant, by now we'd had enough and our relaxing evening completely ruined. We asked for the bill and reminded them of the evenings experience to be considered but were met with shoulder shrugging and nothing else. Not even a complimentary tea..disgraceful. There are plenty of other Turkish/Meditteranean restaurants nearby and we will be frequenting them from now on...

Very high quality Turkish food. It's becoming as competitive as it is in Taksim, Istanbul in London these days and this one is definitely competitive! Ayran was especially delicious as not too salty and the beyti kebabs are very well seasoned. Bread was some of the best I've ever tasted. Sometimes the simple things are the best

Really lovey tasting dishes. We had their lamb chops, spare ribs, rice and fries. All were really nice. The staff provided a good and friendly service too.

Brilliant food that is grilled and not to spicy. If you love meat, it's definitely a place to go. The 3 of us who went could easily finish off a platter of chops, wings, lamb and chicken pieces, lamb shish and rice. Would definitely go there again.

Food was nice, if slightly salty, but let down by the grumpy waiter who didn't seem pleased to see us and accomdate our group. Will stick with my local turkish on green lanes.
