Pasam Restaurant in Redbridge

Had a home delivery I just don’t understand why restaurants say they can deliver food and it turns up lukewarm need to do better

Dropped in by chance when passing, and was pleasantly surprised. The Proprietor and his Staff were super friendly and inviting, always a good start. The restaurant is small & fairly simple, but nice and clean. The meal turned up fast, the portions were large, and the food was delicious. For 4 persons, including drinks, £69. Comparing this to my local restaurants in Suffolk, its is very favourably priced. I greatly recommend this establishment, you will not be disappointed.

Ordered via Uber Eats, was sceptical from reading other recent reviews for Efes, but I have to say, the food was really delicious, fresh and piping hot! We ordered the king jumbo platter and it can easily feed 10 people with some seconds. We also ordered the sea bass which was also delicious. The delivery time was a tad bit over, called in, and got confirmation. Will be ordering again soon

Was good as passam now they rebranded to effes it’s gone down in quality ALOT. I got a chicken kebab and the bread was cold they couldn’t even warm it up. The chicken tasted like it was dead for 3 months had a bad smell and tasted horrible. Won’t ever be coming back here I’ve never had a kebab so bad.

Avoid this place!!!!!!!!! I ordered food today. Even though I was a 5-minute walk away, the food arrived in 1.5 hours and was ice cold, as if they had sent it from the refrigerator. When I called, they said it would come in 5 minutes. It came half an hour later. I asked for bulgur and salad with the meal. Neither salad nor bulgur was there, only mixed skewers. I didn't ask for chips and I don't eat them, but they sent me chips anyway. None of them are true. While I was my Pasha. This new thing was better. They can't do it, I don't recommend it to anyone

This restaurant has appalling service (ordered via just eat). They’ll make you wait hours for your order, lie when you call them to find out where they are, and tell you that they are on the way, then when you call them back 20 minutes later they’ll inform you that the driver is still in the restaurant (1.5 hours after order is placed). During this conversation, the rude staff hung up the phone then ignored 5 further calls made. He only answered when I called using a different phone. He said ‘the boss’ is delivering the food. And then when ’the boss’ does eventually turn up (more than two hours after ordering), he is very unapologetic and arrogant. Well that was my very unpleasant experience anyway, and rest assured I won’t be ordering from here again! Besides the service, the food was cold when it arrived and incredible salty. They need better staff with manners, who can communicate effectively.

I ordered food for the 1st time from here and the food and service was absolutely not acceptable. Firstly I had bits missing from my order. I rang them and they said they will deliver my missing bits within 20 minutes and we waited 1 hour. In the meantime my platter which costed £65 went freezing cold. I literally live 3 minutes away from them so I don't understand what took them so long. The food was so bland, no flavour at all... 90% of the food went into the bin. I'm absolutely shocked about this as the other reviews on here seemed to be so good. If your looking for good Turkish for around that area you have to go to salamis on gants hill and trust me it's fresh food full of flavour, brilliant customer service and its worth every penny you spend in there, its deffo 10/10. The people who answers the phone on Efes were so rude amd they put the phone down on me. I would never recommend this place at all.

location 5 stars food 5 stars friendly and hospitable staff 5 stars. And as a great asset for this wonderful location that makes you feel literally in Istanbul, the city of Love (strictly it seemed to me) is Mr. COSTA who is visible from the first minutes you socialize, who has a lot of experience in the field, he fully deserves 5 stars for service, sociability and the most wonderful COCKTAILS 🍸 😉

Lovely staff who explained what is in their platters and let us have a seat while the food was being made. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious but a little salty. Other than that it was great. Will come here again and recommend

The last visit was excellent even though I have collected and not dining in . Food was good and fresh as we expected from them .

Yoghurt on iskender was off. Processed Lamb dinner on iskender instead of fresh lamb. No hummus arrived when ordered. Have chicken instead of lamb as they ran out and I don’t eat chicken. Really disappointed

What a disappointment this time. Lamb casserole tough, undercooked, barely seasoned. Loud music and deservedly few customers. Coffee machine broken! Trying to preserve memories of delicious meals but not visiting again any time soon

Went there as part of our group’s meal. We ordered the top sharing platter and some starters. Some of us commented that the food was quite salty and I don’t think we will be going there again. The music was quite loud and sometimes you have to raise your voice to maintain your conversation. The restaurant wasn’t busy even though we were there on a Saturday evening.

Nice place ,a hidden gem and great food

Good food. Good service. The complementary starters was very tasty. Only complaint I have is when I asked for water they gave me a bottled water with asking me if I wanted tap or botttled. Overall I would recommend this place and I would go again.

been ordering from here on uber food was usually good how ever went in today for the first time and the place look run down and not clean the food wasnt as good as it has been last two times i have orded . the way things are stored is very questionable for hygiene reasons rice was put in pots and left on counter, i know for fact rice needs to be stored in firdge or in hot pot also not sure if it is halal due to the ppl running the place as they deffo not turks

If I could rate 6 out of 5 i will be really happy. The food is so delicious and original in taste. The quantity in each platter is difficult to finish for one person. So overall it’s not just value for money, but definitely a must visit.

Amazing halal food. Huge portion sizes. Great taste. Kids loved the little Adana kofte the chef made for them with chips. Thank you!

Always providing great tasting food

Used to order small chicken shish all the time so after a while, I decided to order again. The price has increased by around £1 and a bit but when I open the container, the amount of rice is so little. So disappointed that the price has increased but amount of food given has decreased. Never buying again, absolute rip off.

Best Turkish restaurant in London. Highly recommend the hummus sharwarma - absolutely delicious!! I always get the Pasam 2 which is a platter. The meat is always perfectly juicy and very well seasoned. The lamb chops are my favourite very good about of meat on the bones! If you can check it out please go. Very good value for money and the service is always excellent!

Great food and the service was brilliant

Pasham genuinely offered our table the juiciest, most delicious lamb shish we have ever eaten. We highly recommend eating here. Only downside is the ambiance and the music

From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The food was all delicious and the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive.

Everytime I visit the area for work I have a meal here, I allways find the food excellent and the prices are very good for the quality.

Wonderful service food excellent

No one asked her for plastic forks. We came home and just threw them. Why don't you guys ask if customers want plastic cutlery or not? Do you know that Allah doesn't like waste? And do you know that styrofoam boxes can't be recycled and take 5000 years to decompose? You guys need to think. And don't pretend the WiFi is not working and we have to pay cash. It's just pure tax avoidance.

Actually found this place really nice after reading some of the negative reviews, apart from the burnt Turkish bread and the waitress was a bit moody (Think she was Eastern European) The guy behind the counter was really friendly and I had Chicken Beyti which was delicious 😋

We were looking for a nice Turkish place that also served donner. This for the bill nicely but we were so hungry we ordered too much. The food was freshly made and the grill was very tender, soft and flavoured. Service was a little slow despite the restaurant being quite empty.

We've been coming here with my partner for a year now during the week and we've always ordered the lunch menu, which they have every weekday from 12 to 3pm and it costs £7.50. The man, who I believe is the owner is very nice and the food is good but the woman is just a bad person. She's tried to rip us off twice now. This time she charged us £30 although we had 2 lunch menus which should've cost £15. When I asked her why she overcharged us she said we didn't expressly said we wanted the lunch menu. I mean come on, we've been coming here so many times. Why are you trying to rip people off? She could've just asked at the start if she wasn't sure and frankly the food is absolutely the same no matter if it's lunch or not, it's just on weekdays it costs less as it is discounted during lunch. Very disappointed, wouldn't be going there again just because of that woman... Such a shame..

Visited here last night for the first time with friends who recommended. All I can say is wow! Food was beautifully cooked, tasty & plentiful. We had No 2 platter between 4 and we couldn't eat it all. Service was amazing. I don't know the waitress' name but she was lovely. Prices were extremely reasonable. This is a hidden gem and we will definitely be visiting again.

Had a lovely Friday night dinner with family. They gave us a complimentary meze with hummus and tzatziki. Hummus shawarma was amazing with the quality of meat and hummus. Adana kebab and Chicken Beyti were very well presented and tasty too. The rice could have some more flavour. Overall great service and nice ambience.

I've not dined in, however order online multiple times, food is delicious, just need to be abit more generous on the portions for takeaway

Amazing food. I have been a regular customer for many years. I have never had any issues with the food. Family love the pasam platters. Meat is lovely, so soft & not chewy. Eyub is always very helpful & polite.

Good quality food. The customer service is excellent from the guy with tattoos. Food seems to be made fresh when ordered. Portion could do with being slightly larger. Always clean and tidy.

Use to go here all the time, food was great until I revisited, they changed alot and the attitude was one of them, no respect and was rude. A true shame as it is to be run really well seems like new management or something

My partner and I have been visiting Pasam frequently for over two years, we always rexcomend to others. The quality and price of the food is fair and presentation is spot on. I also find the staff to be kind with extras such as bread, never any trouble, or cost. Great variety also, the menu is vast.

So pleased to find this restaurant open at 11.40pm,Quite a few people in restaurant which was a good sign,Out came starter of pitta bread with that lovely red sauce on it cooked to perfection,Accompanied by chilli sauce, yoghurt & houmous oh dear I could have filled might self up before my main dish, it was so tasty,But fortunately my chicken shish came out to stop me breaking out,Lovely large rectangular plate with a great healthy portion of chicken cooked really well & a lovely assortment salad & very tasty rice Faultless,Oh deliciousness!I certainly will come back here,I thoroughly recommend this place,It’s a munch emporium

Poor service, we had such bad service, the food standard has dropped, I had to ask for one thing about 3 time, the food wasnt fully cook. we had told the waitress that food hasnt been cooked, they have switched off the main till which all orders recorded. i reckon that they can over changer anyone without know what you are paying. I have been eating this restaurant for 3 or more years and the service was amazing but now the service really bad. I remember that one when owner was one man army and the owner has got army now. the waitress were more worried about keeping the music running in the restaurant. Just because you got the customers but it doesnt mean that you start changing the business and take the piss as well. THINK ABOUT IT

Visited Pasam for the first time, the food was delicious and the service was spot on. Generous portions and a wide range of Turkish food. Most of all it is great value for money. Had a lovely meal out with my sister and my friend. The food was delicious. Lovely flavour and very tasty. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Defo a new favourite Turkish spot for us. Definitely would go back.

I have been many times to Pasam. The service is just the best. A restaurant where it makes you feel like you’re at home. So welcoming and so attentive. The food is so so good from the hot and cold mezes to the mains. The meat is grizzle and free from the chewy cheap cuts you get in other restaurants especially the red meat. Value for money indeed We were 3 and the bill was a mere £25!

I have ordered from here before and there spagetti was not the best but descent. This time it had bearly no sauce or flavor, only could taste a bunch of oil. Also I want to say that I dont have much of a problem with there chips but with there chips they have something on top almost like chilli flakes...but honestly they dont have any information of that all it says is "chips". We also bought an ice cream and chocolate cake. Now this order was for delivery and i understand the matter of the icecream melting but i would atleast expect the people to try to make sure its not all melted!!! they stuff the icecream right next to the hot food!!! also with the chocolate cake it was nothing compared to what a real chocolate looks like!!! i was expecting just a slice but these people made it round, even though it looked amazing, when you cut through it...it was straight up moose!!! it had the thinnest layer at the bottem of sponge. I would not recommend this at all. This place used to do great food but now they dont. would not recommend. 👎👎👎

My God, by far the most incompetent staff I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The food was average at best too! Firstly, the guy behind the counter couldn't understand English, nor speak it well enough to get our 2 orders correct, this resulted in us receiving both the wrong meals. They charged us full price however as they were adament they were right. We called the restaurant once we discovered he'd ruined our order, the guy on the phone wouldn't hear that they had messed it up, but tried suggesting we give the wrong order to a friend and to still enjoy our 1 overpriced dinner... In conclusion, a restuarant that doesnt listen to its customers whiltserving standard food - avoid!

My second time to Pasam for take away and yet again very rude service. Considering there was no queue I expected better but instead my group were rushed to order and the staff were very rude and full of attitude. I do not recommend Pasam at all. The food is let down massively by the staff and their poor mannerism.

Food is okay but this place is a little too expensive!! £9 for takeaway Chicken Shish is a bit too much for Gants Hill. Make sure you check the price before you order.

Went lunch-time, love Turkish food but this place had horrible food.

Use to come here all the time, now got new management and no longer get a free drink. Place looks the same but staff aren't as nice, I miss the old staff. Won't be going back.

I felt as if they completely disrespected me by serving a small portion of lamb shish when i ordered a large for 9.50. They thought they can get away with it because i requested a takeway. Received 7 pieces of lamb cubes, with half rice and couscous all in one box! This day and age a "large" is two skewers not one, also one of the younger workers needs to lighten up a bit and smile! Customer Service Is No1 Mate 👍 p.s your lucky i was busy with work otherwise i would of come back to the shop and taken my money and given back your "large" lamb shish!

Good place to eat. I would have given them 5 star but their service lacking that star if I am honest. 4 Star is for the fresh and tasty food, reasonable price and good portions. Would defo come back there.

They accept only cash. Food is very salty. Service is ok. Reasonable price. less space. Food quantity is fine.

My daughter used to come here regularly. Food was delicious and the owners are lovely people. However a staff member started to stalk and harass my daughter completely freaked her out and myself. Now she avoids this place. Warning to all young ladies be careful when you go in there. Advice to the owners maybe you should be careful who you employ . Wrong staff will cost you your business. Would have given your five stars .

Very delightful staffing and the food is great. I keep going back. My only concern but nothing serious, is that the toilets are downstairs. Many may actually prefer that.

Great portions, very delicious well marinated meat. I’ve been looking for proper local Turkish restaurant and take away for ages, and now I have my favourite place. Definitely recommend, thank you.
