Edit.....My original review just below was 2 years ago....I still order from this place & still think it's amazing...Tonight I ordered special curry with fried rice...wow just too much! Don't even think I ate half of it..being a light eater....Unlike a lot of takeaways...the curry..apart from chicken/pork/king prawns....also included onions....peas...carrot....red & green peppers.....a good variety 👌... I've uploaded a pic on a full size plate & you can see it's bursting to the seams!..Anyway...back to my review two years ago.. This is now my go to place.....Udon noodles A1....sweet & sour...big chunks of veg & lovely battered chicken....special satay..well this was a new one on me...used to getting green peppers (which I love) in satay..but no green peppers here...instead chunks of courgette (maybe it was cucumber lol)..boring...and weirdly...pineapple chunks! Which did taste nice all the same...having said all that...the satay sauce itself was definitely the best I've ever had from a takeaway! Chips are hit & miss..perfect on last order..but sometimes a bit squishy...taste is subjective though....but overall..... taste/quality wise....I'm a regular! Fantastic food. Cannot currently find a hygiene rating for this place on the food standards site oddly enough though...update.....inspection March 2023....4 stars.....Good.

The food here is disgusting. The gravy is way to thick and looks like Mud. The curry is nasty too and the food has a weird taste. Definatly not worth the money. I had belly poisoning when I ate from here

The food from here is vile a the staff a fukin rude putting the phone down waited 2 hours an couldn't eat a thing

Came here with my grandaughter after her praise about it. TBH wasnt impressed. I had chicken cantonese she had salt and pepper chips portions were big but the quality was just average, bit of a letdown.

Came in time all fresh highly recommend

Order cancelled after 30m min of waiting with no reason. No phone call, no email, no particular reason for that to be done.

Best curry I've ever had at a Chinese! Highly recommend the veggie spring rolls, fried rice & chicken wings.

Not sure ..very salty and expensive .food is not the best.

The staff are lovely and the chicken fried rice is really good, but on too many occasions now the chips have been almost inedible.

One of the best chippies around we won’t go anywhere else. The Chinese side of the business is good. Anyone going in should get the chicken wings as they are amazing.

New to the area, so I'm trying out a few different places. Ordered their salt and pepper chicken wings (because this is my what I almost always order). Terrible wings that should be avoided. Soggy, small portion and nothing like how they should look. Chicken and mushroom dish was bland. It didn't contain a full onion like some other places do - which is good (and probably the only good thing about this dish). Noodles where ok. Chips soggy. Not a great review.

Tried a couple of dishes from here, salt and pepper chicken was dry as a bone, and the batter on the fish was grease af. Chips looked old, all the dried up srappy ends, so much so the chips were hard, horrible worst Chinese iv had

The ladies who run this place are just so lovely! Whenever I go in everybody says hello and you can tell they’ve got the place running like clockwork. Also very generous with portions and it’s great value for money, couldn’t recommend them enough :)

Lovely food especially the chow mein

Ordered food at 5:50 pm for delivery before 6:50 pm. Still waiting at 7:50pm after 3 phone calls and being told the driver was on the way the food arrived at 8:10pm just warm so then had to heat up. No apology or explanation given. Very disappointing.

Absolutely abysmal! Honestly. First time ordering. Fish was that greasy that the 2 layers of paper were see through, chips were soggy and cold, asked for extra spice in Singapore fried rice, there was no taste at all to it! Chow mein was ridiculously flavourless and noodles had an odd film like grease on them and they were softer than soft, left a dry texture I'm the mouth. Even the pie was soft 🤔 Top it off with a head of grease on the curry sauce (1of 2 ordered didn't arrive) Disappointing all round, would NOT try again, only went for the reviews on here! How wrong they are

Minging couldn't eat it and I eat a lot.

First time we have ordered a chinese takeaway and it was fantastic. We have had chinese from here many times before and would definitely recommend it. We particularly love the chicken szechuan and beef and mushroom.

Accidentally clicked on to this takeaway not that easy to get a good Chinese excellent by far the best anything you want they cook just not good on salt and pepper chips they sprinkled some powder stuff on instead of real deal only fault but will be back just wont have them chips

Been trying to find a good Chinese near me but option are so limited as they don’t all deliver and finally found this place yesterday the food came so quick and was piping hot. 10/10 for both delivery and food. Very professional, affordable - you get a lot for what you pay and can’t wait to dig into the leftovers today 🤤 Will definitely be ordering again

I love this Chinese I would eat it everyday if I could and value for money

wooooow what a meal, placed order for salt n pepper chicken, special curry with egg fried rice, salt n pepper chicken wings n barbecue sauce. they said 2 hrs before delivery. it arrived aand OMG AMAZING. well worth the wait and didn't cost a fortune. defo my new local.

Our local Chinese and we’re loyal customers. Lovely little family business and all reasonable prices. The chips are always great; nice, crispy and plentiful and when you spend over a tenner they throw in a bag of fried chicken wings. There are a cluster of Chinese takeaways in the area but these are far and away the nicest.

Ive eaten here twice after moving to the area. The food is first class and the staff are lovely. Recommended 👍

The worst meal I've ever had one meal was harf cooked the other was totally the wrong thing and it took 35 mins to cook it's like it was there 1st day on the job never go there again

Got food from this place once, never again.They do that watered down version of dishes that tastes bland with very little contents.That's the only reason it's so cheap.If you was to walk 100 yards up, next one long you'd get real, fresh, quality food.If you can find a better chicken satay please let me know.

Tried it for the first time, wasn't disappointed

The chips are Superb - Morris Piper potatoes Golden colour perfect texture. A must Try = there Singapore items or salt and pepper all delicious and massive portions ( 4 local chip shops { ONLY 1 I trust implicitly }

only ordered from here becaues it was 5* was told it would be 45 mins 1h30mins later food turns up.... after ringing to see where it was!! its was discusting chicken balls was under cooked and far too greasy, chip was wet chicken chow main was dry, rice was very old and chicken in black bean sauce had no flavour

I have just moved to this area, and this is the best Chinese food I've had in the UK ever, by far!! Everything was absolutely delicious and of extremely good quality. It was piping hot, every thing that was supposed to be crispy was still very crispy, and I got it delivered to my door on a night of bad weather. It was also a nice bonus to get the free chicken wing pieces. It was so sad to see the one review that was so unkind. Based on the quality of all the items I have ordered thus far, that review does not seem to accurately reflect the wonderful food at Wong Kwok.

Nasty. Ordered salt and pepper chicken wings and got fried chicken wings upon delivery. The fried rice smelt and tasted disgusting. After one taste, I vomited so I threw the entire order away. Waste of money.
