Fantastic pub to visit great atmosphere staff and music

Timothy Taylor's landlord was badly kept quite flat it was also overpriced for the area recommend you go to the Clarence far superior with really well kept good beers at under £4

Just popped in for waiting for a train home. It had nice beers and atmosphere. Can't complain.

A great little pub directly opposite Greenfield railway station. Friendly bar staff and a good selection of beers make this a cosy pub. Recommended! Didn't try the food, so not rated.

Nice cosy place, great live music with a long tradition of live bands. For those who liked live bands, drinks are good, great view of the Pennines 07/01/23. Very friendly staff, always like to call in, food available at weekends (although it's available every couple of weeks In between) i.e. not every week..

Nice boozer. Didn't have food but the beer and craic were of high quality. Very handy for the railway station too.

Stopped for a pint whilst out for a walk. I cannot comment on the food. There were lots of people eating therefore I am presuming it is good. On this occasion they didn't have a great selection of real ales on. Great pub and a good place to stop whilst waiting for the train. Recommended

14 walkers descended on the pub for after walk "Tiffin". Nice young lady dispensed various pints of beer 🍺 to happy men

This is a great old pub. It doesn't deserve the bad reviews it's received. It's great they're keeping the tradition of gigs going. People should go to these places and keep them alive.

We visit every Thursday evening for the Jam & open mike night. Also Sunday afternoons for free band entertainment. Great atmosphere, and good choice of real ales.

This traditional pub sits in the hills of Oldham, on the Real Ale tail. Serving excellent quality craft beers and ales. Good for live music. Parking can be tricky but the Railway Inn is situated close to Greenfield Station on the main line from Manchester to Leeds.

A good choice of on tap beers available. Popular ale-trail pub with being opposite the train station, so often waves of business. Regular live music including open mic nights are often busy. They have a pop-up food retailer Fri-Sun but not yet sampled their menu!

Changed a lot in the last few years and for the better in my opinion, bar and seating area look a lot cleaner and newer, plenty of drinks on tap to choose from, staff are friendly and atmosphere with the live bands is good

Brilliantly close to the station for the ale trail with the added bonus of a pool table and nice staff. A little on the dated side inside but still v good. Nice selection of beer.

Great, atmospheric pub serving a good range of well kept real ales alongside a wide selection of spirits, bottled drinks etc. Regularly host live music events. It is also part of the Transpennine real ale trail so can sometimes suddenly become very busy.

Great pub with nice locals and good choice of beers

What a great night we had!!. This was my first visit to The Railway Inn with my brother and sister in law. We had driven from Colne as my nephew was playing in a band there. The reception the band received was amazing. We felt so welcome. The people were so friendly. If you want to listen to good live music in a pub with great atmosphere this is the pub for you.

Solid little pub. Had one pint after a walk to Dovestone Reservoir. Beer was in good condition, but pretty standard choices.

Was stuck here on an ill planned foray to Dewsbury. Not a bad place to get stuck.

Cosy with an impressive range of beer

Visited a couple of times, very expensive and a bit run down inside but that doesn't bother me too much. Most recent visit was about 9PM on a Friday night about 2 months ago, the place was almost empty and the looks that the bar staff gave us made us feel like we were disturbing them from their rest.

For my money, probably the best pub in Fairfield. Good real ales.

Very good landlady/manager; really friendly and very good interpersonal skills. Made me feel comfortable. Nice pub. Just shame about the toddlers that were not being controlled. Seems that parents these days don’t care about others.

Good old fashioned pub, with excellent real ale. A bit scruffy, please leave it as it is.

Nice staff but the pub is pretty rough around the edges. It's a good old fashioned boozer. Oh they did have excellent pies.
