Superb quality fresh flavours amazing . Our first time at the restaurant and we were not disappointed . Very fortunate to get in on Saturday night . Pleasant staff .

Ate in the lounge. The service was impeccable with three staff looking after us. It was busy and there was a birthday party so noisy but it’s a good place and a bit of noise isn’t a deal breaker (annoying but not so much as to make the visit bad). Food was very good. Great scope of drinks. We really liked it. I would like the pods experience but I didn’t like the look of the obligatory set menu in there . If they allowed the Lounge menu in the garden pod side (commanding 10% rental for pod) I would use that. The service charge isn't welcome at 10%. Service was great and 20% would have been my tip. Because they mandated 10% then I paid that. I understand that many patrons don’t tip even 10% so thats why the SC. Give it a go, it’s a very nice restaurant for a nice dinner. Would not come for a special occasion but definitely for date night or dinner with friends or family.

First time of visiting this restaurant. Went for a large celebratory family meal. First impressions were good but went downhill after that. Food mediocre, not served together. Expensive for what it was. £5 for every bottle of water put on the table which with 10% service charge equates to £5.50 a bottle. As the evening wore on the staff got less and less friendly. I would say here we went at 5pm not late at all. On presenting us with the bill where we split it between several people they got impatient when the final person went to pay. They insisted on keeping our print out of the bill saying it was for the company not ours. Having spent over £200 before service charge there, you would have thought they could at least have said thank you and goodbye to us. As it wasn't forthconing I said thank you to the waitress and rather begrudgingly she replied thank you. Obviously they are not bothered if you return or not. I won't be returning. Mediocre food and bad manners. Why should I pay for that? Plenty of other places to go where the customer will be appreciated.

Upon arriving the staff was very attentive as my mother had a walker so they led us to one of their amazing cosy pods. The service and food was first class. We loved the fact you could press the button for service and they came straight away even on a busy Friday night. The food was absolutely delicious I can not recommend this place enough as the experience was amazing. Thank you.

Great night with karaoke and food but was tainted by the service charge. I asked for it to be removed as we like to give separately as a group and thought was bit steep. Got some attitude but I stood firm. Put me off going again sadly. Tipping should be a choice

Average food, EXTREAMLY slow service, was there an hour before receiving first course, had to keep asking for drinks and then to only wait longer, only 1 waitress serving the whole restaurant food and drinks! A disappointing birthday family meal.

Having had takeaway before on lots of occasions and always been good must say the last couple of times the quality of the food has dropped It's not been hot and certain portions getting smaller on each occasion I have phoned have said to make sure food is piping hot but unfortunately it hasn't so think its time to find somewhere else

Like the name, a wonderful takeaway, Restaurant, in the most novel of all, is the karaoke bar.. the karaoke bars are three separate private rooms, which are well decorated and cosy.. the host shows you everything you need to know about the equipment and you have full use of that lovely cosy room. Abdo, the host is so friendly and helpful. it was a fantastic evening for my daughter’s birthday party with the girls.. they absolutely loved it.

Commenting on the takeaway service , the food is ok , portions are quite small compared to other takeaway service in the area and chicken balls are really hard and greasy . Portions of the chicken chow mein are small , taste wise ?- children agreed the other takeaway is definitely better than wonderful kitchen . It was worth a try on this particular take away but probably will look into another shop/ takeaway that offers more quality , quantity and incentives .

The setting was lovely and calming for a date night food was lovely and the prices for the portions we got was amazing the staff were very friendly would definitely go back 😀

First time under the new ownership and we were looking forward to having tasty food. Unfortunately, the whole experience turned out to be shocking. Starting from the spring rolls which were poor quality, lots of pastry and not enough filling (the supermarket does better ones) and carrying on to the disappointing mains (which were bland, with no garnish and served on a chipped plate) but the worst was about to happen when we asked for a bill. Not to mention that Wonderful Kitchen is overpriced for what it is, the service was extremely slow and It took asking two waiters to get the bill to our table. Upon receiving the bill we’ve noticed with surprise and disgust that the service charge was sneakily added to the total. We’ve confronted the waitress regarding this and asked for the service charge to be removed and we were met with a very firm refusal stating that it is the standard. We’ve mentioned that we were not aware of this prior to our order and the waitress replied that it’s on the menu. However, upon close inspection of the menu she could not point us to the direction where this “standard” was stated. In the end she took off the service charge from the total but this will not encourage us to visit Wonderful Kitchen again. The name is misleading, avoid avoid avoid! Save your money and go somewhere else.

I’ve written a number of reviews of this place. The last takeaway I had was of such a standard that it should never of left the kitchen. Overcooked sweet and shout prawn balls, all rock hard. Undercooked sloppy ‘crispy’ duck. I could go on. The place is just hit and miss. Russian roulette with £40 and an evening meal.

Was our first time in the restaurant. Visited on Saturday night. Lovely interior and very nice restaurant I have to say. The place was really busy and incredibly noisy unfortunately. We asked kindly to waitress to move in a much quieter side of the restaurant that was completely empty at 8.30. She mentioned that the menu was different from the one we had so we asked again to sit in the other side but she rudely said no and basically let us walk out from the restaurant without even care. Whoever was that woman she is been incredibly rude and totally careless for customers and for the business as she did us walk away, make the restaurant loose money. Never before something like that happened to me 😂😂 So sad , to be fair, how bad her service was. Will never ever go back. Shame.

DO NOT VISIT!!!! Went for the karaoke, paid £35 for our food to receive absolutely nothing, there was not enough food for even 5 let alone the 16 that were there! Bearing in mind we booked months before!!! This is an absolute rip off and left my friend in a very bad way as she did not eat all day thinking she will receive 4 courses of food. When this came we had barely a plate full each and for the extortionate amount of £35!!!!!! I am so disappointed it was absolutely terrible and I will NEVER EVER visit again. They should be shut down for false advertisement.

We've had 3 takeaways now from here and each one has been very good. They had a blip previously where the food dropped in standard but now its back on form!

Fantastic meal. Went for the Traditional Banquet with optional duck course. Everything was perfectly cooked. Courses were not rushed. Plenty of food with enough left over for tomorrow's lunch. Such a great find, we will be coming back because it is so lovely.

This used to be a good takeaway, I had used them for years. Lately the food has deteriorated. Portions smaller, prices higher, tonight a quarter crispy duck was nothing more than a drumstick. Calling them, I was met with arrogance and indifference and hung up on. I was told I have complained before and they couldn't help me, but in the past they admitted when the food was wrong, I was even told once, they had a different chef who wasn't as good. There are other places that care about quality and customer service. I'll find somewhere worthwhile next time.

We order from here regularly. Something has certainly changed there in the last month or so. Out of the last 6 takeaway orders only one has been as good as it used to be and on that particular night Jenny answered the phone like her and Joyce used to. Our last takeaway costing £40 was greasy and bland and it will be a long while before we order here again. Such a shame.

My family always use this place for takeaway and we are never disappointed so we decided to have a meal in the restaurant. I have been here before in the Karaoke Rooms next door so decided to try the restaurant for a birthday treat for my friend. It was great!! Food was hot, tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. The service was good. I can't eat onions so advised them of this when ordering and even the crispy duck spring onions were omitted which I thought showed great attention to detail. The price was fair for a set menu and I really enjoyed the food in all of the dishes.The service was good. Even got little hot towels handed to us to freshen up after the meal. I noticed that they do a traditional Chinese afternoon tea as well and since going out for afternoon tea with friends is a favourite hobby of mine, I can't wait to try this.I highly recommend this restaurant and want to thank them for helping me give my friend a great birthday evening out. Takeaway orders are dealt with efficiently. Plenty of staff on duty to ensure good and friendly service. Food is always excellent and they can usually adapt the menu to suit. I think it’s the best Chinese takeaway in the area.

I booked a meal and then karaoke in the bar afterwards which i was told i had until 10pm, We arrived in the restaurant 8pm and had a fantastic meal. The food and service in the restaurant was perfect and we had a great time. We then went next door into the karaoke bar at about 9.15pm. After singing one song i was told that we would have to leave immediately as they had a large group coming in. I told him that i had booked it until 10pm but i was told there'd been a mistake and we had to leave. I said that we'd just bought 2 drinks and he turned around a placed two paper cups in front of me and told me to take my drinks with me!! I asked for the manager and he told me that he was the manager??

What a fantastic night the food was superb and the karoke was the funniest thing, brought everyone together for fun.

Decided to check it out as "the firm" had arranged to go the following week. We took the Sunday buffet which was a reasonable but small choice of foods. It was all over candles to keep warm but they failed to do so, it was all but a few too cold. Decor is good but downstairs a bit cramped. They have a Japanese style area which is quite nice if you can sit like that. The food was nice and they may do better a la carte. We did not risk it as the management were not giving any concessions for a large group, even charging more than the set meal price, which I also found distasteful and unbusinesslike. Staff were pleasant but overall not my choice of restaurant.

Got takeaway for two “senior citizens “ 2 children aged 10 and 13 and 2 parents. We ALL agreed it was very good value for money and we ALL thought it was very tasty, on a par with Tins of Colchester where we live!

After receiving a menu through the door I visited this restaurant to find it closed. It clearly states on the menu “Open 6 days a week 12-2.30pm Closed Tuesdays. It is Saturday. What is the point of paying for menus to be printed, paying for someone to deliver them and then NOT being open when you say you are going to be open?

What a fantastic night. Went in a party of 18 with the set menu. All the staff worked soo hard. Food was fabulous and each course was spread out with just the right amount of time. They even asked everyone if there were any dietary requirements. Then onto karaoke, Once you’ve worked out how to use the machine it was brilliant. Great atmosphere and you only have to walk next door!! Would very much recommend.

I ordered a takeaway collection for myself and partner. We thought we would try a change from our local takeaway. Although it was prepared quickly and was still piping hot when we arrived home, the food had no flavour what so ever. I had beef chow mein and she had sweet and sour pork, we also shared a egg fried rice. Seriously lacking flavour and the rice was inedible! Unfortunately this has to go on the “no go” list of takeaways in Bournemouth.

We ordered 4 main courses and 3 starters, paid in advance over the phone and got our feast delivered within 30 minutes at 5:30pm on Thursday evening. Bob on starters, main courses and service & delivery great takeaway. Food gets 5 stars!

I was one of the 16-18 guests at a friends 50th birthday party and have to say it all went extremely well. Friendly efficient staff, food was plenty, a set menu for £25 pp and was enough for everyone if not a bit more. They give a jug of cocktail for all to help themselves to, it tasted ok but the glasses were not right to have a cocktail in but some were just using their wine glass. The wine I have to say I found just drinkable but not great and it was overpriced in my opinion at £17 a bottle. The first course with spring roll, sesame seed & prawn toasts, crispy seaweed, spare ribs & satay chicken with a chilli dip, all very good. Then the next course was crispy duck, pancakes, cucumber and spring onions and sauce & plenty of it, so much we asked for some more pancakes which were given happily. The actually put some in two takeaway boxes for the host to take home with her as so much and it was delicious. Next was lovely noodles and rice served with dishes of Sweet & Sour Chicken, Pork in a sauce, fried beef in a sauce, and two other dishes I can be sure what were now, I believe one was prawns but all were fine, especially for a large party, it was hot and tasty. After the meal we then went next door for the Karaoke which was a bar, disco, lights and great party atmosphere for just our party to enjoy. Everyone could pick whatever song on the machine and then two microphones moved round the place to whoever wanted to sing and the rest to also join in or not as the big screen was there for all to read. Again great staff, good fun and a fab time had by all. We were there overall from 7pm to gone 12pm & were not rushed even then to leave. Would recommend here for a good relaxed party atmosphere & good value too, apart from the wine.

The food here is ok - nothing was great, nothing was terrible. Just average for a Chinese. The service was ok - friendly. However, the choice of wine was awful - just two bottles - Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. Both were undrinkable - worst was the Pinot. This is not acceptable when charging £17 a bottle! There should be a much wider choice of wine which would compliment Asian food.

I can see that Wonderful Kitchen has some pretty mixed reviews but I must say I have never had a bad experience with them. In fact we consistently choose Wonderful Kitchen over a number of closer Chinese Takeaways. The food is tasty and the delivery takes about 45mins on average. There is a good choice for both meat eaters like myself and veggies like my wife.

My twin sister and I had our birthday celebrations at Wonderful Kitchen and a Lounge on Monday. We had an excellent meal which was very tasty. You couldn't fault any of it. My sister and some friends had never been there before and were really impressed. The service couldn't have been better. Can't wait to go again.

Worst Chinese we have ever eaten and to top my chilli beef was the worst I have ever eaten it's been cooked in old oil plus my sweet and sour ribs tasted old and dry my special rice was more vegetables than rice plus I found a couple of alarming things in my rice which I will be contacting health and hygien about wonderfull kitchen not this time disgrace kitchen should be the name if anyone is reading this there is better Chinese out there if you have a problem with your food this Chinese say nothing shrug their shoulders and don't really care

Visiting Bournemouth with a friend and fancying a Chinese this was nearby. Did not quite live up to its name. My crab soup was far from wonderful verging on bland but my main course was wonderful. Prices were high but service good. Great for a special meal or when feeling flush.

Booked for her 20 people to have Chinese and the karaoke room. The staff were brilliant and were very helpful. The food was good but it's never perfect when it's buffet food. We had a birthday night out at the restaurant followed by a private karaoke room. In all honesty this was one of the funniest nights we have had out since the last time we visited ;) We are a group of 40 somethings with young kids but there were all ages in the karaoke. We opted for a private room as not all of us wanted to inflict our singing on the world and it was worth it. .. We ate first and the food is great (the set meal was enjoyed by all 8 people at the table) service v friendly and attentive. Then we were taken to the karaoke room which had waiter service (you have a service button in the room) and a drinks table and sofa type chairs. You set up your sings on the screen and all have a sing.......Despite being a bit dubious about this place originally i would have to say this is a must do night out......so much fun!

which is a shame because the food was actually above average.I don't know if we were just unlucky but we went for a family dinner on 25th Feb and had a table for 6 booked for 7pm . It was an early booking due to an elderly member of family and others who had a long journey afterwards. Although the food was above average we certainly won't be returning because the service was appalling. To cut a long story short the main course didn't arrive until gone 9pm (order was placed before 7.30) and it was 10.15 before we got the bill. Over 3 hours for a meal is unacceptable and our impression was that the establishment seemed more concerned with keeping customers at their Karaoke happy than those in the restaurant. If you want a meal that doesn't take all night avoid this restaurant.I will not be going back and couldn't recommend it.

Wonderful tasty food, service was excellent, staff very helpful, the food especially the chicken chow mien us o e of the best I gave ever eaten. Must visit.

We ordered a large takeaway .when it arrived it was cold and extremely greasy. And not very tasty. We didn't eat hardly any of it .i called but was asked to ring back. Which i did the next day. Only to be told that they couldn't or weren't interested in a refund or anything as i didn't still have the food will certainly not be ordering from there again

We have been to this restaurant a few times and every time we come here its very nice, calm and relaxed environment, The food is Beautiful and always tastes so fresh, nice and Hot, This is one of my most loved restaurants in Bournemouth as the staff are always so friendly and very helpful, and such a lovely restaurant and I highly recommend dining here if you fancy treating yourself to a very nice Chinese

Food was very greasy. Noodles were especially greasy and about a quarter were still hard. Wasn't cheap either. There's a lot better Chinese takeaways around.

Had a lovely chineses takeaway delivered from this restaurant. Good quality food although a bit more expensive than other local takeaways.
