Wok U Like Chinese in Reading

Great food, tasty, and good portions. Been using them for around 10 years. They recently won best takeaway award with one of the Reading newspapers.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery at 19:40 through their website, it didn’t state on their website that it would be an hour and a half wait for delivery due to it being a Saturday. I rang an hour later to find out how much longer it was going to take, the person on the phone said 30-40 minutes, in the end my delivery ended up coming at around 22:05. Food was average and personally felt like the chow mein and fried rice lacked seasoning.

Food was amazing. Lady on the phone taking our order was lovely and knew the menu inside and out. Delivery was very prompt too.

Heard so many good opnions about them that we have decided to try. Oh well.... first and last time! Special fried rice had no single prawn! Egg fried rice should be called fried rice as there was no traces of the egg. Satay chicked skewers were so hard and chewy that they wouldnt even come off the skewer. Sweet & Sour Chicken, ribs and prawns very nice though. Maybe just a bad luck but will not try again.

Excellent service, quick and efficient. Love your chicken chow mien and it’s not oily. Large portion of house special soft noodles. Enough for me the next day. Satay sauce is lovely and thick. I will recommend my friends and family. Thank you wok u like and your lovely ladies behind the counter

I have been a regular customer and food is pretty good. Sadly, I will not be using them anymore. The delivery was nearly an hour late and I had to chase twice and was told it was on its way which was clearly not true on the first chase. I was surprised they did not give me a discount for the lateness.. circa 20% off might have kept me as a customer. NOPE. So I will be looking elsewhere.

Absolutely awful, food was bone dry, the duck could have been crumbled into dust! Other was soggy and over cooked, lacked flavour. Never tasted such bland and dry Chinese food before, it was absolutely awful.

Bit hit an miss but always good, ordered from here 4+ times now. Seems to be better when we order delivery vs take away. We like that they have vegetarian shredded beef.

Nice people but the food is not the best. Sweet and sour pork may as well be called Pork in ketchup. So sweet had to throw it in the bin. Teeth were aching after two bites. Where is the sour and where is the flavour? Us locals are not so stupid that you can pass off anything as Chinese food.

Disappointing quality. Good portion sizes and delivery time. However food very salty and greasy. Don’t bother with the salt and pepper chips, very soggy. The search continues…

Everything you would expect from the Chinese restaurant.

Absolutely appalling, the food was basically inedible. Chips that were cold, grey and dryed out probably due to being cooked multiple times. The Sweet and Sour chicken balls were, soggy, dripping with oil and tasted awful. The vegetable curry had a thick layer of oil floating on the surface and mostly tasted of oil. Even the prawn crackers had a nasty flavour. We ended up throwing the lot away which was a waste of nearly £30. My advise is to avoid this place like the plague.

Sad to say but Gradually getting worse, the chicken balls are dark (over cooked) and very oily and I would never order a duck dish again nearly £7 for a couple of small peices not even half a breast, use to be my go to, but will have to start trying elsewhere from now on.

After years of using this place with no problems whatsoever, last night was a disappointment, ordered duck with plum sauce and was sent pork, after telephoning with my complaint I was told I got the right food(even the manager came out to inspect and told me it was duck) now I no duck from pork, obviously their chef doesn’t, when is duck covered in onions and plum sauce is transparent, never will I order from here again,considering I order probably 3 times a week, I feel they have lost a valued customer yet did they seem worried, no, not a care in the world, oh and from telephoning with the order and delivery was 9 mins, that tells me it’s cooked properly, approx 5 minute drive to mine

For the longest time we were looking for a place to order chinese from and after trying Wok U Like I think we found one. The food was amazing, fresh, still piping hot upon arrival and we even got some free Vegetable Spring Rolls which was a nice surprize. Will deffinitely come back to them in the future. Only down point was that I wish they sent us a menu as well as we couldn't find one online so we don't really know their prices. Was very reasonable though compared to other places we tried.

First time ordering from Wok You Like. Hard to find a good Chinese delivery that will deliver to outside central Reading. The food was exceptional, both the well balanced satay chicken peanut sauce and really tasty ginger and spring onion. This will become our go-to Chinese!

Been using Wok You Like for years now. Delivery service is always good, food is excellent - even when you customise (I don't like mushrooms, wife doesn't like shrimp) and the price is very reasonable. About to move out of Reading and will struggle to find as good a Chinese in my new home!

I wouldnt give them that they way they have just spoke to me and my friend.. i asked them for a order.. order ended up being wrong and they tryed arguing with my friend on the phone.. i understand mistakes happen but in any form of customer service.. u 1 try solve the problem not make a bigger one.. the dilevery driver was rude aswell.. and im really disappointed as i alwaya order with them as there food is nice but the customer service is disappointing.
