Food is great tasting and great value. However wait times can be very long when busy. Pickup times can be delayed too. Apart from that, highly recommend. 👍🏻

Had a lovely takeaway tonight 23 oct they made me a beef and cashew nuts with bamboo shoots and water chestnuts not on the menu it was delicious fast delivery the food was delivered hot very happy

Normally always hot, fresh and tasty (and reasonably priced too). I'm not sure what they are cooking with but it doesnt taste like the standard stuff you find all over the country which is great.

Wow big price rise but old prices on the menu thats never good food is good though

We have been using Wok king for over 5 years plus, I have to say, this has to be the most disappointing meal we have had. The meals we ordered seemed have changed too. As well as the staff? It seems to me that they have changed hands since, or during the lock down.

Our favourite Chinese takeaway. Always fresh not greasy like other Chinese takeaway places. Very yummy reasonable prices and very friendly people. Best Chinese food in Southend area

Good food - though not a particularly friendly place

Unfortunately I had to wait three quarters of an hour for our food it would have been nice for the lady serving to inform me that there was a long wait apart from that the food was really nice like it always is.

Been going here for years, a always had a great meal. But first weekend they open since lockdown and it was such a disappointment, the kung po chicken was just all hard fried batter with no spice at all. Had to bin it all and just eat the rice.

One of the best local take aways in the southend/Thorpe Bay and Shoebury area. Open kitchen so you watch them cook your food as you wait. Dont be put off by the warehouse look this is some of the best chinese take out in the area. Consistent, tasty and well priced. Didn't even have to think about it 5*

Havent done a review on these before. However I allways go to these when needed a takeaway. Lovely people. Great and delicious food all round.

I have been using Wok King now for more then 10 years I have always enjoyed their food it's top quality, and the delivery driver is a top geezer also.

Absolutely discusting we used to always get our food from here but the last couple haven't been the same. After giving it another try it was awful. I had shredded chicken and it came burnt. You could snap it in half. When I phoned to complain the girl didn't seem bothered at all. We won't be going there again

Been using Wok King in the family for over 10 years. Always incredibly tasty. Food cooked fresh in front of customers. 10percent off if you collect. Cash only which can be frustrating to have to find an atm first Food portions are not always the same each time. One time noodles and rice are bursting out the containers, next time almost half empty. Doesn't stop us though. if they mess up, they are quick to rectify. Ia it bad they know me and my wife by name?

Dont bed fooled by the warehouse look of the outside. Fresh fast and flavourful. Not greasy. Can actually taste each ingredient and cooked right before your eyes in their open kitchen. Good price too. Definitely going back. My new favourite takeaway four Chinese.

Getting a bit disillusioned. Used this place for years. Portions seem smaller.not as tasty..I am wondering if it changed owners

Fantastic takeaway you can watch your food being cooked, as the kitchen is totally open so the public can see. Food taste great to, lots of flavour.

I will never get food from you again you forgot part of my order, the chicken balls were like car inner tubesand the curry sauce had more oil in it than my car engine and my omelette was crispy

Food is always piping hot and very authentically cooked to perfection i always mix up my order as everything is nice i also normal collect to get the 10% off but as its bank holiday i got it delivered was told half an hour waiting time and the food was at my door in 16 minutes! Happy bank holiday :)

We've been ordering from Wok king for 7 years+, they're consistently great. Very fast, food always hot and really good quality. Oh, and they have the best satay!

It was really nice and free prawn crackers.

The food was greasy, tasted "nasty and not at all nice". Even more suspicious is that it took 15mins to get my order cooked and delivered!!! Will NEVER order from there again and have already told my family and friends and posted on social networking sites. DISGUSTING!

Have been buying from "Wok king" for a number of years with no complaints until recently, The last 3 orders have not been good, Egg fried rice was stodgy , Sweet & sour chicken balls hard & greasy, Chow mein greasy, And delivery which used to be so quick seems to take an eternity now!! Such a shame used to be the best Chinese takeway in shoeburyness.

Odd warehouse type building but inside looks spotless. Good service and you can see the food being prepared. Certainly our first choice for delivery.
