Staff are brilliant, doing their best while shortstaffed…such a shame the company does not care about people but just the profits! Room was clean but could hear the kids on the room above running around Location is fab! Ask for a room with sea views ,especially if visiting on summer! Bfast was good but again,2 people to handle reception and guests in the restaurant! The team 10 The company a 1

The Room was what you expected from a premier Inn, comfortable with the standard amenities. It is seriously let down by the restaurant, it has gone from a brewers fayre to their own restaurant and the service is terrible people waiting over an hour for food even though it was quite and the bar was unmanned due to not enough staff. It has put me off and I will now be looking for another option and letting others to avoid it. The staff are nice enough but they are hotel staff having to do jobs they aren't used to.

We were looking for a coffee place as it is cold and all the seafront places were closed We walked in to the premier inn and were greeted by a lovely staff member Dave He guided us to the restaurant and the staff member welcomed us too -friendly Jackie in such a wonderful and hospitable manner. We felt warmth and kindness and they gave us a complimentary breakfast muffins which was so lovely. Thank you for your warmth and kindness.

Good stay, rooms were clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. There is a charge for parking. Tesco Express within walking distance along with some local restaurants.

Good place to stay in southend. Reccomended

Rook very chilly. Heating only blew cold air. Window doesn’t open. Tv remote needed disinfectant. Bathroom light switch located outside the bathroom & not inside. 1 lift out of order. Kids running up & down the corridor in the early hours.

I've stayed here twice, the staff are nice, the restaurant is good. but you can't open the windows in the rooms, it's sealed with no handle. The second time I booked here, my rooms smelled bad when I first got there... But you can't open the window, there is no fresh air.

Don’t expect to stay here looking for a FULL NIGHT of rest as me and my boyfriend have stayed for the 2 nights on floor 1 with NO SLEEP as constant people above walking and ceiling cracking and banging as constant people walking till about 2 in the morning!! I don’t know if we are under a hall or a staff room but because the floor boards are so weak it is impossible to get rest which should be top hotels priorities! As well as that their free WiFi is terrible so not even useable. Apart from this the room is clean and the beds are cosy but the fact you cannot sleep in a HOTEL is a huge problem.

Not a great night sleep at all! (Guaranteed lol!) A mattress that dips in a U shape, so half the night, you spend getting back to the edge. Combined with the ridiculous heat! No opeing windows and air-con that went as low as 18 (never did, at 18 I am comfortable), an open window would of helped instead of the pointless and a ephemeral air-system. As always… not great places to stay, oh and £7 parking (wfs) because I would of parked there otherwise. EV drivers fyi no charge points…. Bored of trying “guaranteed” good night sleep, to spend the night in a hot room and uncomfortable beds… will be going elsewhere in future.

Nice room and bathroom. Did order a "room with a view" so I could see the ocean in the morning but it was kinda ruined by all this netting and wire so it was a lot less of a view.

Had trouble booking in was told we weren't staying there, some staff were lovely but two members of staff were quite rude, talking whispering thinking i couldn't hear what was being said... I wouldn't be recommending anyone to be staying as some of the staff members were so rude, and it's not acceptable. I work in hospitality and would request that staff take up customer service training as some definitely need it more than others. Very poor Premier Inn.

Room good again!!! Service would be a 5star if it was based on only the night staff. Day staff are great but lack organisation. Great experience overall but special thank you to the night staff

Clean, spacious room. Good service in check in and in restaurant. Location was a walk away from town centre.

I had a 25 minute wait to check-in due to people sorting out there rooms. The lady didn't charge me £10 extra for the early check-in because I was angry. The room view was bins which was not good. The location is brilliant it is a 15 minute walk from Southend East Station. Which is brilliant because the train line goes to Liverpool Street/Fenchruch Street. But all together 3.4!

We arrived to be told the bar and restaurant were closed now pre warning we paid £121.00 for just the room and that muck up our entire evening as we were off to a concert and then had to find somewhere to eat on the bussiess night of the year due to a Halloween parade.

Terrible the worst place I’ve ever stayed Completely ruined our weekend away No staff Bar closed all day and night 45 mins to finally sort out our room No towels No tea or sugar in room had to go and get my self from reception No heating in room was cold at night And the breakfast don’t Evan bother The only thing I could see that was working was the vending machine lol Over all wouldn’t stay here again would rather sleep In my car

Clean rooms, a wait for check in but the staff couldn't be more helpful or welcoming. Rooms spotless, bedding was immaculate. Air conditioning was great. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Breakfast staff were running around making sure all ran smooth, coffee machines broken and they made sure hot water etc was replenished, they most certainly should be valued for what they do, working in customer service myself the pay doesn't always value the work you do. Will be returning, highly recommend. Thank you.

Great value for money. Family room was comfortable and clean. Only thing that could of been improved was the breakfast next door. It was unorganised, messy and basics like plates weren't available without asking.

Decent Premier Inn. On the sea front and parking is £4 for 24hrs

Had no trouble getting an accessible room, very helpful staff. Clean with easy help yourself to extra tea and coffee at reception. Parking was super easy. Would recommend.

The reason for 2 stars. is you can't open the windows. The room gets very warm. if someone has a shower, the room gets hotter and damp. The night staff were very friendly and helpful at midnight. They got me a fan. The aircon was not good. no idea what it will be in summer

Great location. 15 min leisurely walk to pier. Staff really helpful. A particularly helpful lady at check in. Rooms basic but clean. Bed comfortable. Pillows not so. Bathroom clean. Had shampoo and soap. Bath very high to step into. Room was warm and comfortable during the day. At night too warm. The cool air fan should have been used but we didn't think of it at bedtime. Even though it was half term and there were plenty of families staying in the hotel we didn't hear them from the room we were in. Boring view from our room over the car park.
