Big pub, big garden, lovely landlady, and a stone throw from Prittlewell station. Would be nice to have a bite to eat, at least on weekends as Prittlewell is not spoilt for choice in this department 🙂

Not a place if you like real ale .the only ale they had on was doom bar ,for basic lager drinkers really .when we went the pub was dominated by inebriated southend united supporters who were a bit out of control (4 hours after a match had finished).a place for locals I would say .

Friendly local pub, quiz night every Thursday. I visit now and then with my dog, it is very clean and the staff are lovely!

Went to this pub recently and yes it is very friendly with a good atmosphere and must agree that the landlady is very nice with a lovely personality. Would definitely go there again .

Very loud people at weakend people music very loud wil have to report if carry on kids in this area people getting woke up and can’t hear your self think trouble sometimes when people leave pub

Pub is bad owners are rude just think off there selfs judges people and all ways loud late at night at the weekends and no respect for nabbers if carry on will be reported

Yes great here , wall to wall sports channels , friendly staff, clean, airy, pool table ,beer garden . .immaculate so overall impressed. Great selection in wine coolers, spirits, beer , ale and soft drink aplenty. Would try the speitzer so will visit again definately. Also maintains the aura of past workin mans chill out after a days graft layin sleepers . Not that i graft but yes 1 pub worth checkin out. .

Good for a prematch pint or two. I would advise away fans to go else where as this a home fans pub. Having said that quite a few Dagenham fans were in this pub. We experienced no problems whatsoever. I managed to talk to several home fans and all were friendly. Away fans I would advise caution.

Great pub, good value for money, friendly staff, used before and after football match at Southend united.

Dark, aggressive rap music with some questionable lyrics. However really friendly service. No food and only one ale on tap loses some stars for this particular reviewer.

Really pleasant terrace at the back. Nicely cared for and planted. Only passed through inside so cant really comment on that.

It's a nice local place good place to sit and wait for your train to come that nice I miss my train and got the next 1. A half a pint of foster was £2

A fine pub, in the only part of Southend with any history (Prittlewell). It's cosy but a bit cliquey, not in a bad way really just that the regulars are very regular and all know one another.

To be avoided, from the outside it seemed friendly but no, the clientele is quite communal, you can feel it. I understand asking for identity documents, but an additional permit I don't understand why, especially when you come from abroad. By the way, coke even without alcohol: without gas it is not good.

Very unfriendly bar, at least for foreigners and non-locals. We were not able to consume alcohol, despite the fact that we showed our identity cards and the fact that we were adults. We downed ourselves on coke, which was without gas by the way. I also don't recommend this place because it is a bar that is not at all welcoming, somewhat communal.

Good pub to visit pre blues match, excellent beefburgers outside.

I've always Liked the Railway Tavern. Public Houses have Improved, since they became Smoke Free. However, the Railway Tavern. Just Looks Old and Jaded.

I've never really felt welcome there. I think it's quite a closed community type of pub or at least that's how I sense it, like everyone turns to look at you when you enter and think who's she? She's not a regular. We only visit a couple of times a year despite it being over the road to us. A shame as when we moved here I was excited about having a local to socialise in...

Nicely positioned for Pritlewell station, would probably avoid on match days until Southend move to their new ground...
