Rang up for a delivery and when it arrived one of the dishes was indirect. When ringing up to politely inform them, lady on the phone was rude and said “that’s what you ordered” to which I responded it wasn’t. I said that I had taken a bite and realised it was the wrong dish and she responded “so you ate it anyway?” In a rude tone, implying that I was trying to get another dish when I had just told her that the dishes looked similar hence why I took ONE bite which is when I realised that it was not what I ordered. When relaying this point to the staff member on the phone and informing her she was incorrect she said “tra” and hung up the phone rudely. Good food but rude staff, not sure I’ll be ordering again.

Have been a customer for many years & I have never had cause to complain, from English meals to Chinese I am always satisfied, always busy (which says a lot) staff always friendly!!!

Ordered 2 chicken chow meins which when collected was beef chow mein, when I called to complain I was told that was what I had ordered. The customer service is shocking and rude and no apology given whatsoever and this was not the first time had mistakes but not made a fuss before today!

We were looking forward to this takeaway after seeing it always so busy and thinking understandably that it would be good. We ordered the battered chicken with sweet sour sauce, chips, egg fried rice and curry sauce. The best thing about the meal was the curry sauce which was very flavoursome. The chicken was bland, the chips soft like mash with no crispness to them and the rice was just rice with no fry to it. I would recommend this Chinese unless you only want curry sauce. The curry sauce is why I’ve given it to 2 stars.

Total confusion over order, dry food and poor quality. In addition we calculated the price to be £45 but they charged us £60

Chicken curry was full of gristle and bone, completely put everyone off there food . When we rang the wonderful manager , she told me I was a liar 🤥 and they only used breast , but when challenged she then said they put leg meat in aswell . Hence the bone and gristle . The owner needs to get a new manager in , or give her some training . Disgusting customer service

I love this place. Curry sauce is lovely. I go here around twice a week for my fried rice, chips and curry sauce and it's always great. Regular chinese food is also fantastic, we eat about once a month. Chip shop style food is also fab, nice batter.

We had a great take away on Saturday, as all way the chips were great & such a big portion, the stafff are great & its good value for money, the only negative for us is the curry sauce is very hot , though we keep coming back so maybe we like it realy !

Have never liked the wok inn personally, my family have always used it untill tonight, what shocking service and management. My sister was spoken to In a disgusting manner, had the phone put down on her, twice, they refused to deliver her food, and all because she questioned how much longer her food was going to be. Absolutely shocking, wouldn't recommend 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Just had a huge take away delivered from here and it was superb. The curry has a lovely little kick to it and everything is cooked just right. I would recommend you ask for large containers and be prepared for a weight as they do get very busy. But well worth the weight and great vfm.

Drivers often try to rip you off and overcharge from here, be very careful, fed up with them won’t be using again

I had food from here twice as first time my husband bought the takeaway it was too salty, so I got takeaway one more time and still too extremely salty :( I wanted to find a good Asian food in Newport but this is not the one for me :(

Really tasty food, but had to wait nearly an hour in the shop for our meal for 2.(least it was freshly cooked ) Had tried to phone order through but phone constantly engaged or not answered. Real shame about this as the food was good, but will not be visiting again.

Great little chippe , staff are realy friendly and you get a good portion, they also do chinese food, we go on a friday after work saves cooking after a long day, not to expensive , they get realy busy so expect a little waiting time, but you find its worth it, nothing like a nice fish and chips on a Friday after work, they have plenty of choice so have plenty to choose from.

La comida estaba fría, el conductor era grosero y su compañero en vehículo cuchicheando en el hecho de que yo estaba molesto con el servicio. Operadora fue muy grosero y me dijeron que pagara, me dio una bocanada y colgaron. Nunca va aquí, envió la comida de vuelta. No recomiendo debido a este servicio proporcionado hoy.

Best Chinese in Newport. I enjoy food from here on a weekly basis. The chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken/beef curry and chips. Gorgeous.

Have used this place for years. Really good food, chips are excellent, cod is excellent. Had a little issue with their delivery service a few months ago, but no repeat problems. The portion size is great, this is definitely the best chip shop in Newport.

Have been going to the Wok Inn for many years and have also tried others in Newport occasionally but always go back. Unbeatable.

Dreadful food, third time it's been like this. Won't be having it again. Chicken and mushroom very thick and very salty and rice bland.

He usado la china desde que era un niño ya que está cerca de nuestra casa familiar, siempre me encantó. La comida es excelente, sin embargo, es difícil conseguir a través del teléfono en el fin de semana y puede tomar un rato esperando por una llevar si pides y esperar.

He usado el chino para un largo tiempo, y que se merecen una revisión. Desde la cocina china a pescado y patatas fritas británica su comida es estupenda. auténtico pollo, no la edad preescolar basura formada, y grandes porciones de tamaño. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

I recently ordered 21 meals for a works Christmas lunch time and I must say everything was spot on, hot, and on time for my pickup. Every dish was bagged up with individuals names on them. Fantastic food, everyone commented on how delicious the food was. A BIG thank you from all of us. :-)

The chips here are the best in Newport, and the chinese food is Da Bomb!! I haven't tried the fish etc but it all looks really good.

Best Chinese take-away in Newport. In all the years i have been going I've never had a bad dish. Just beware they don't take credit/debit cards, cash only.
