Have used Wok Inn for years and loved food and service. This evening tried ordering a takeaway and was told prices gone up plus now delivery charge (never had before) Will find alternative

A very poor service today from the wok inn. After ordering a meal to be delivered some hours before. A delivery time was given of 19.22. We waited patiently and the delivery time came and went. So a call to the shop was put in @ 19.38. We were told that they were waiting for a driver and that it would be with us in 10 minutes. A further 35 minutes later the food arrived. The food was could and unpleasant. This had obviously been sitting in the shop for some time. I have to say as a regular customer of the wok inn, that this is not how we have been treated in the past. Not good enough and not with the money or the wait. If you can’t for fill the orders , don’t take them.....!!!!

Ordered three times now from here. Every time it's been at least 30 minutes later than the estimated time of arrival they had texted , despite the fact I'd ordered in plenty of time ie 2 hours before. Given them enough chances that's it now won't be ordering from them again.

Despite the late time delivery..., the food was really tasty,still hot. Our meal for 2 was fantastic.🍴(anyway, they give you very much food, so prepare your stomach) :) couldn't eat all. 😁

We ordered through just eat as visiting the area . It was awful, salty and simply disgusting foul tasting muck, each dish was tried and each was worse than the next. Phoned the restaurant, only to be told that they can’t hear me , then they could not understand me. Don’t eat there please , just do not eat there

I am a regular customer at the Wok Inn, I actually left a positive review on this very site, but the food I ordered earlier this evening was so salty, we simply could not eat it. The food also arrived late, the delivery driver was rude, and the food was cold. The worst thing by far, were the containers the food came in were cracked, and several had leaked into the plastic carrier bag! I've been trying to contact the shop, and it seems to be impossible. We will never order from here again, extremely disappointed.

Ordered chinese for it to be left on the door step outside no phone call or no knock at the door. God knows how long it has been there but its freezing cold! Wont be using this Chinese again! Wouldn't of even known it was there if I wasnt on my way to the shop! Ridiculous

Please don’t get me wrong, the food was good. Very good, but after spending over £50, we got 15 prawn crackers which we paid £2.29 for. Most places send them free with an order of this value,

THE WORST CHINESE IVE EVER HAD!!! £23 for rock solid tiny pieces of chicken, rice was hard and food was cold, bloke had to make 2 deliveries as part of the order was missed first time round! Absolutely shocking, will not be using again. Wouldn’t feed my dog this food

Usually fantastic Chinese food,, been impressed every time except lsat night ordered delivery and it was really poor, lacking sauce, meat, cold, really surprised and disappointed as its been great until now. What's going on guys.!?

Paid for it online, got an order number and confirmation ... it never turned up. Tried calling and the phone rang for several minutes without answer before I gave up. No courtesy message or anything. I’m hangry as hell. Don’t bother ordering from here, not worth £20+ to maybe get fed within the next 24 hours. Useless place 👎🏻

Brilliant food, tasty, hot and always cooked perfect.. the best egg fried rice in Newark.. ignore all the fussy sods.. this food is lovely.. always steaming hot, better than the majority of Chinese's in Newark, which take 2 hours to come and a cold af!

Taste counts, and here I enjoyed my meal with plenty to go around, arrived hot and in good sized containers too. Dont judge the outside folks as this is just like a book, step in and try, enjoy !

Ordered some food last night and firstly realised the veggie rolls had chicken in. Was annoying but not a big deal as I’d already realised before we ate them. Also had some veggie noodles, which were fine until I realised I was eating a piece of beef that had somehow ended up in my box. I don’t like pushing the annoying vegetarian stereotype, but when you choose not to eat meat for many, many years and you accidentally do so, it’s a really scary experience. I called the restaurant who were apologetic and offered me a refund, but nobody ever turned up. At that point we were stuck with lots of food that half of us couldn’t touch and no money back like promised. I won’t be ordering from this restaurant again as I’m now questioning their protocol for cross contimination with meat products. If you mark something as vegetarian on your menu, it shouldn’t be close enough to a meat product that some of it will accidentally end up in the pan.

Spent over £20 on takeaway, opened the boxes to smell something which resembled sewage - didn’t want to risk food poisoning so chucked it all in the bin. Most revolting takeaway I’ve ever seen.

Order has just arrived, food only just warm, Cantonese chicken batter not cooked, chicken chips peas and gravy .... no chips £6.10 for a bit of chicken in a tub of gravy and 4cm mushrooms. Never again !

Always get our order right even though we sometimes ask for things slightly adapted from the menu. Really nice food and friendly staff.

Ordered food last night, large box meal, my husband ordered a small portion. When food arrived, my husband's portion was bigger than mine and although the food was very tasty, there wasn't enough to feed a small child. My husband phoned to speak to the manager, to which he refused and refused to do anything about it...never ordering from there again, absolutely disgusted!

I don't live in Newark, so I just took a chance ordering from the Wok Inn, I have to say that the food was delicious and it was delivered to us within 30 minutes of placing the order. The delivery driver was very polite, he mentioned that he'd never delivered to our address before and that he hoped we enjoyed our meal. We ordered set meal B for 2 people, and there was easily enough food for 3 of us. The BBQ spare ribs are the best I've ever had. Next time I pass through I will definitely be using this take away again, 5 stars.

Total joke especially chicken satay. Waste of money!

Didnt taste fresh. Not been back since,When looked into the kitchen area was very untidy. Didn't look very clean

Just ordered a meal from the Wok Inn THE FOOD WAS SO HEAVILY SALTED IT WAS UNEDIBLE HAD TO PUT IN THE BIN TOTALLY FOUL PLEASE AVOID THIS AWFUL CHINESE RESTRAUNT AND GO ELSEWHERE

Lovely food at reasonable price. Had mushroom curry, singapore chow mein and both delicious. Delivered at time specified. Recommended.

Had to give 1 star - they dont deserve any. Ordered food tonight £25.90 through Just Eat. Food was inedible rang to complain and ask for a refund. Said i had to ring just eat so i did. They then had to call wok inn to request the refund. They rejected the refund. So I called Mr Chann back who was extremly rude kept shouting and interupting me. Was complaining because Just Eat take too much money and basically saying we were Just Eats customers not his and he didn’t care that the food was inedible and he said he was proud of the food he served. The food was Dry, Hard, smelt funny and cold. I think we would of got food poising if we ate the chicken. The sweet and sour sauce was basically just one thick lump. Couldn’t poor it out. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! £25.90 we will never see again and also have no dinner for tonight

Had fish cake & chips from them tonight 2 lots which came to £5 & all we got was 12 chips in each box & a fish cake talk about a rip off.

We visited my parents and enjoyed a takeaway from the Wok Inn. It was all delicious. WE had vegetarian options which were lovely. Delivery was on time and the food was just the right temperature.

We ordered. A meal to be delivered on New Years Eve for a certain time. The meal arrived on time. It was delicious well cooked and very tasty. The dishes were all packed well. We will definitely be ordering again in the near future.

We just had a very good meal from this takeaway, The Wok was excellent, three meals everyone was good , the Chicken was good and plenty of it. My only negative they tried to charge me £3 delivery and tell me it was 3.3miles when it is only 2.2miles, you just need to watch that but really just a niggle when food was excellent.

We order from Wok Inn regularly. Although I think they depend too much on onions and green bell peppers, we all enjoy the food we order from them. It always comes in a reasonable time and fresh and hot.

I would like to review a Chinese take away that we have been using recently:- The Wok Inn. We had a menu pushed through the letterbox a few weeks back, and it was fortuitous because neither my husband or I could be bothered to cook anything. We ordered a set meal for two over the phone, and 30 minutes later the food was delivered to us by a friendly delivery driver that said he hoped we enjoy our meal, and we did. The food was exceptional for the price, and we've used their service 5 times now, and never had an issue. I will add that the barbecue sauce was rather salty, which is my only complaint. I would recommend the Wok Inn highly in terms of price, service, and above all else, the quality of the food. Well done Wok Inn.
