WOK A WAY Chinese takeaway in Leeds

Really disappointed with WOK A WAY. After waiting over 2 hrs for our order my husband phoned to see if it was on its way to be told they hadn't started making it yet, as they were busy. Member of staff said they would cook it now and if my husband picked the order up instead of waiting for delivery he would knock £8 off. My husband went to pick it up and not all of the order was there, they had run out of food. We had ordered at 6pm. With further discount the takeaway was brought home. Unfortunately the quality of food was the worst we've ever had from a Chinese. We threw most of it away and wished we had just cancelled the order. Complete waste of time and money.

I must express my disappointment with the delivery service, which arrived 90 minutes late. To put it into perspective, I could have easily strolled into town, enjoyed a leisurely evening meal, and returned home before this company managed to deliver. When the delivery finally arrived, I was told, "We are busy." While I understand that businesses can get overwhelmed, I was not informed beforehand about their busy schedule. After working a full day and feeling rather hungry, this excuse did not sit well with me. If a company is hectic, they may consider temporarily halting new orders. However, I must admit that despite the delay, the food itself was fantastic. Nevertheless, I remain pretty dissatisfied with the level of customer service provided. To add insult to injury, I was informed that I could receive a quicker delivery on my next order. This does not leave me with a great impression. Improve your customer service, please

Cold food when delivered and tiny portions. Terrible customer service when called to register complaint. Had to reheat food once delivered and despite paying a delivery fee and ordering 2 hours in advance it was late by almost half an hour

Orderd a Chinese from here for first time food was sh1te chicken was stringy and probs wasn’t chicken let’s be honest chips were soggy af would deffo go Great Wall instead

Went to wok this way it all went wrong when I went to pay and was told they only take cash. Who takes cash these days it's all cards and scan ya phone no not this place got told to walk in to the village and I can get cash yeah!! 1.90 to get 20.00 out I dont think so went to the co OP cash machine out of order next stop 2 miles away at asda cash machines managed to go back to recive freezing cold food and very greasy needles to say I wont be going back. Get a cars machine there free!!!!!!

Food is always amazing, so is customer service, always goes above and beyond! My wife is suffering with wisdom teeth and they even make the food extra soft so she can eat it, thankyou all at wok away

We ordered the crispy aromatic duck for starter and we actually got soggy duck, with the fat soft and greasy....nothing crispy about it. The veg (cucumber / spring onion) was soggy also and looked like it had been sweating for days! The main courses were both dreadful, they looked like they were scientific experiments gone wrong, nothing fresh about the dishes whatsoever! This was the worst Chinese take away food I have ever experienced. We only gave it a try because Hong Kong Super Cook 2 were closed for holiday. We actually drove 3 miles to give them it back and to get a refund!!

Really average food, noodles overcooked, rice overcooked, no salt, no spices, blend food in general WOK A WAY = WALK AWAY !!!

Ordered something without mushrooms due to allergy, order came with mushrooms, called them was told we are too busy to send you what you want, and that was that. You can have it free next time, oh how nice a freebie for what I paid for! Don't think so the get it wrong every time I order usually the miss of the extra chips I pay for. Wokaway go away.

Rice was cooked nicely but somewhat bland. The sweet and sour chicken however I had to throw away. Instead of being small pieces of battered chicken coated in sauce, it was clear and obvious that what I got was pieces of battered chicken that had been stood in the sauce for however long it took for some poor unfortunate to come and order it (me) and then it was boiled to reheat it. The chicken was like soggy gelatinous jelly and frankly made me feel ill. I prefer my food cooked to order - this clearly wasn’t.

Ordered at 7pm, rang at 8.15 to say they run out of food. They were rude, unhelpful, agressive, and wouldnt offer a redund. Never use these people

We recently had a takeaway from wok away which I cannot fault the food. If anything, I think the food has improved from past experiences. My only criticism is the delivery service. We ordered at 7pm and were told it would arrive at 8.20pm. This was not the case as it arrived at 9pm. I did phone at 8.30pm to be told he's 5 minutes away. I would have rated excellent had the delivery service been better.

We had a lovely chinese take out, the weather was nice that evening so we sat and ate it outside. We had the mixed starter and salt and peper wings with fried duck rice and prawn crackers. Everything was tasty and non greasy. 100% recommend!

Ordered a take a way from here on tuesday this week,have not used before .Very good menu ,food delivered quickly and was hot ,Everyone ordered something different and all were happy

Algo un poco diferente a la pizza estándar, hamburguesas, comida para llevar indias, etc. en Otley. No tuvimos problemas con pidiendo. Parecía lo suficientemente eficiente y amable. Precio no está mal. Tamaño de la porción más que suficiente. El establecimiento estaba limpio.

We have had lots of take a way meals from wok a way .delivery is quick the food is red hot good menu price normal for take out food. The special curry is fantastic.so if you don't feel like cooking phone wok a way and enjoy a good meal in no time

Had a few deliveries from here since moving into Otley, English staff taking orders so no misunderstandings, food has always been good quality i.e. nice white chicken, would certainly recommend.
