This is a lovely place to sit for coffee especially today as it was a lovely day sat at on a bench by the pool glorious except the little table was covered in droppings front the ducks as the lady brought our cake she was about to put it down until I showed her the table which had not been cleaned it look like at all today we sat on another table to be served but why aren't these tables looked at more regular. A gentleman did come out later armed with a bucket gloves apron and blue roll to clean it but this is not exceptable for such a place .

Long wait. Nearly an hour. Would not normally be bothered but our 17 month old grandson was really upset at having to wait for the food. When it came it was shocking ! Grandsons hot dog was dry chips with a cheap frankfurter and stale bun. My pie was beyond rubbish massively overcooked and tepid in heat. Egg mayo sandwich was all bread and loads of the same dry chips. Complained twice about the wait. Ate our food and left in the end. Not great value at +£32. Kitchen did not seem to know what they were doing

I ordered 2 teas and 2 tea cakes and gave our table number. Ten minutes later a waitress wandered over to a nearby table with two tea cakes. The people at the table said they hadnt ordered them. By the time they finally arrived at our table they were cold and hard. We asked the waitress if we could also have the tea we had ordered only to be told we would have to wait as they had run out of tea pots! When we asked how long the tea would take to arrive we were told they didn't know. There was a party of 18 who were having afternoon tea so I presume they were using all the tea pots! Never have I been to a cafe where there were insufficient tea pots to go round! Who is managing this cafe? Very disappointed and won't be returning.

Absolutely beautiful location, came for afternoon tea today and it was so lovely , the lady that served us was wonderful, not sure of her name but she was wearing a pink apron, she looked after us and made our visit perfect! We had a lovely walk around the lake and fairytale trail , we also fed the ducks , lovely shop and garden centre and ample parking, would highly recommend.

The fairy trail is lovely but the cafe is awfully We had to wait for 20 minutes for two slices of cake for the kids. Went back after 10 minutes to ask where it was and they looked very shocked that a customer was asking where there order was, they replied 5 minutes another 10 passed and we asked for a refund, which they was not happy about. The place seems to be going down hill. There very well staffed but not organised at all. If you do visit and have food the table next to use said they was waiting 45 minutes for food.

Took nearly 40 minutes to supply tea and cake. Place was not full at the time. Made worse by one of the several staff standing around eating whilst serving.

I have visited the centre a few times. The fairy trail is amazing and the work that has gone into it is commendable. I have not dined at the restaurant. I have visited the shop a few times and I have been disappointed with customer service especially at the tills. The clientele are white middle class which reflects the area where it is situated which is all fine. I live in neighbouring Great Barr and am South Asian. I always get this feeling that I am from a different planet speaking a different language when I approach a member of staff for help/advice. I would go as far as to say the older staff are snobbish in their outlook and attitude. I tried to purchase the last box of compost maker on the shelf a couple of days ago. The box was damaged with the product spilling out. I tried to bring this to the attention of the lady at the till since I desperately needed one. She was more interested in chatting to the couple behind me instead of addressing the issue like giving me a replacement or ensuring that I was getting what I was paying for since it was spilling out of the box. I left feeling very disappointed. I made the journey especially to get the compost maker. The centre proudly talk about their humble origins and I think they have come a long way and it is a great setup. Sadly a few of the current staff and ethos of the place has not developed with the times. They are regressive in their outlook and service and I think have a long way to go in terms of diversity. Luckily it is not the only garden centre in the area. Neighbouring Pacific nurseries provides for a more wholesome and positive shopping experience.

A lovely few hours spent walking round the garden centre and fairy trail. We planned to take our 18mnth old for a walk around the fairies and feed the ducks and fish but decided to stay for lunch. The staff in the cafe were extremely accommodating and were able to seat us. The food was absolutely delicious and top quality! We look forward to returning for a breakfast outing. A lot of effort has gone in to keeping visitors safe but overall welcoming and enjoyable.

The nature trail & fairy garden are still shut. The café area is advertises as opening on Sat 1 August 2020. Though you can see the nice big pond, filling up nicely with water lilies inside it. Nice selection of hose & garden plants & fruit trees. Some nice Notes & Quotes books at £7.99 each. Some nice CD’s available too prices from £4.99 upwards. Nice relaxing CD was playing on my visit there today. Ample car park in front. Roomy enough for social distancing.

This garden centre has everything from knowledgeable staff excellent plants,a fairy trail walk and lovely poolside cafe. We have been here many times and we have never been disappointed. We recently ate here with our daughter and granddaughter. The food was freshly cooked and the choice of cakes and coffee was brilliant.

It's not very often that I write terrible reviews but I had a really bad experience in here involving bullying and I will never step inside the place again.

Breakfast looked lovely on arrival although did arrive within minutes of ordering which I thought was strange, first mouthful was cold and my husband exactly the same. When raised with the supervisor she said she would get it replaced. 2 minutes later the exact plates returned and when asked they confirmed they had been microwaved. This is not being replaced and nothing was obviously temperature checked prior to serving. Discusting, full refund given but I felt this was to keep us quiet and not spoil the 'posh' atmosphere they try and perceive. Another table next to us advised they had to complain about the temperature of food also. When asked for the manager i was told 'she isn't in today" How can £30 worth of breakfast be served cold and when raised just popped in the microwave and brought back out . Absolutely appalling and a health hazard. Been coming here for years but definitely Won't be returning.
