The Bridge Tavern in Walsall

It's not very often that I write terrible reviews but I had a really bad experience in here involving bullying and I will never step inside the place again.

Very quiet early Friday evening. Stopped doing food, the lady behing the bar said. Beer seemed ok though only had a half so I could go somewhere else to eat.

Never in my life have I received such bad service.Took a while for the barmaid to take our order as she was more interested in serving the local drinkers. Eventually we got served and took our drinks to our table.A group of four people arrived after we had placed our order and got served before us. This would have been acceptable I guess if they had not ordered a beef meal (the same as we had ordered before them) and we were told about 10 minutes later that there was no beef left!!We ordered another meal and wished we hadn't. Parts of it were overcooked while the remainder was undercooked!This place is just not geared up for meals and it seems they are just doing it as an additional income.We were offered free drinks as compensation but quite honestly I could not get out fast enough so refused this.An appalling place with appalling service and appalling food. Nuf said!

I bought a Groupon for a two course Sunday lunch, not really expecting very much. What a pleasant surprise I had, my Sunday chicken roast was delicious followed by apple crumble and ice cream. The choices aren't extensive but there is something for everyone. The staff are all pleasant and obliging. Definitely give this pub a chance, they are worth it.
