Love this place. Lovely staff, amazing scones and coffee and sparkling raspberry lemonade is so good. Will keep returning to try the whole menu.

A great find on a rainy day. Lovely welcoming cafe with a great little menu. I had some seriously good soup that was much appreciated on such a miserable day. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely homemade food and great value for money!

The cafe is tucked away in Lauderdale park, with ample parking, if needed. The price point is good, coffees were lovely and there is a wide variety of home baked goods. The cafe itself seems to be a converted portakabin or similar, but the decor is very warm and inviting. The staff were very patient and friendly. Would absolutely return.

Fantastic cafe in a beautiful walled Garden. As it was a beautiful sunny day and I had both a dog and my two year old son, I opted for the takeaway and was really happy. The prices were fantastic and it has a good few picnic benches dotted around a really beautiful walled garden that also has a modern and nice children's playpark. We got the kids picnic (priced so good) and a panini and milkshake. Loved the lot. Will be back and have recommended it to other people. The location is fantastic.

Claims to be open 10-4 every day except Mondays. Walked a long way to get here for a late lunch today, arrived 3pm on Tuesday 23 May only to find it closed. A helpful local told us it never opens in a Tuesday.

Fantastic cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect as a stop off on the Coast and Castles cycle route which passes by the cafe. Lots of locals there too enjoying great coffee, cakes and lunches. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. The cafe is in the park with cycle racks just by the cafe.

My partner and I live in Dunbar so we visit Wishing Tree regularly. It’s one of our favourite places to go if we’re out for lunch at the weekend. The food is really nice and the service is good too. We’ve taken family as well who also now enjoy visiting Wishing Tree as much as we do.

Visited this place located by the leisure centre hidden in a park. We had a fresh pannini chicken and cheese with a pesto and bacon brie and cranberry. Not only were they made fresh but even the pesto was freshly made you could taste the basil amazing. So if you are in Dunbar would always find it amazing food

Don't usually do reviews but just had to post one to say what a great cafe the Wishing Tree by the Sea is. We were visiting Dunbar and attracted by the beautiful flower beds went behind the walls of Lauderdale Park and found the cafe where we had a takeaway lunch. The food was great, staff friendly and service fast. Highly recommend and will definately be back. There is also a great childrens play area in the park

Was looking for sitin morning breakfast none available in Dunbar until I passed the Wishing Tree by the Sea, sign by the roadside. Only 100 yrds from the high street in Dunbar enclosed in a lovely park with a large play park. Must be great in the summertime.. Lovely selection in the breakfast menu well worth a visit. Lovely coffee.

This cafe is the perfect little cafe for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Delicious soups, toasties and cakes a plenty. we moved to dunbar in July 2019, and thankfully stumbled upon this very quickly, it is a regular haunt of ours now with our baby. We have missed this place since lockdown so delighted the takeaway is now up and running. Looking forward to the day when we can sit in and enjoy it fully once more. Also to note- very friendly, lovely staff.

Was rank, coffee was weak and hair in my pastry.. wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy to be honest. Would recommend Gregg's round the corner in all fairness.

Seems to be going down hill - toastie was a bit tasteless, cake was terrible - gluten free lime and coconut but so so stale and dry - didn't finish it. Coffee was good. When we mentioned the cake wasn't nice the waitress just smiled - An apology and perhaps it being taken off the bill would have been more appropriate.

Absolutely fantastic as always, both servers were brilliant. Food was outstanding as always. Even although the place was not busy the atmosphere was brilliant. Really enjoyed the flat iron steak it was so tender. Thank you everyone involved

A gem in Haddington with lots of nice homemade cosy food, a bakery and a shop! Go there for spending relaxing time with family and friends or just to treat yourself! Grilled nectarine and halloumi quinoa salad already replicated at home! Gnammy!
