Wink Lee in Colchester

We just had a Special Chow Mein and I can honestly say, it was awful, the pork was recognisable, there was another meat in it I think it was supposed to be chicken which tasted terrible, nothing like chicken, never again. The chow Mein was stodgy and tasteless 😣

Been to a lot of places which can only cook a few good dishes but this menu is unstoppable in quality and there’s always a lovely service behind it bosh what are you waiting for

Really enjoyed the food (takeway). Was a very cold night, waiting area was cold with any heaters. Will suggest ordering on the phone before picking up or have it delivered. Nice and friendly service. Definitely going back again.

One of the best options for Chinese take away in Colchester, steamed Chinese ribs and rice is always a winner.

Prices high, there version of Special fried rice is pork with 2 small prawns. Undercutting cheating the customers, first and last visit £14 for 2 dishes.

Always get great food. Only Chinese to go to in colchester. Head and shoulders above the rest.

Well cooked food and the taste is great

We had'nt had a Chinese take'away in ages so we decided to get one from Wink Lee, which is only a 10 min walk. Oddly!!! They would not take a card payment over the phone, and they were cash or card payment in store or on delivery! So in reality it forces you to go out... that we found to be very odd these days?? We ordered 1/2 a duck, crispy chilli beef and 2 portions of there salt and chilli prawns. We found them to be absolutely gorgeous, everything tasted great and was so fresh ,flavours brilliant!!!! Apart from the odd paying arrangements Loved it.

Our order did not arrive and when we tried to call the restaurant nobody answered. I'm completely disappointed

Very nice owners always friendly yummie food freshly cooked.

Food is always great, we tend to order from here every Friday. The special omelet, crispy seaweed, chicken / prawn balls, curry samosas, rice dishes, crispy chilli beef and even the chilli & pepper chips are always our favourite to order from here.

An amazing Chinese takeaway that's open on a lunch time till 14.00. Food is hot and tastes wonderful !! When you place your order that's when he starts cooking so by the time you get there it's ready.

Having moved to Essex from London some years ago, we were over the moon to find Wink lee!! Clean! Well cooked with nothing to hide.. Every take' away a delight!!... You have to try there Salt an Chili prawns they are amazing!!

Very upset with the taste. Spent 40.00 chow mein tasted burnt. Ordered chillie beef and got spare rids. This isnt the first time but it will be the last time we use this take away.

Sinceramente, no nos hubiera gustado haber molestado.Las costillas era extremadamente difícil y la sopa caliente y amarga no fue muy agradable. suficiente pero no suficiente carne caliente. rollo de Pancake era todos los porotos, y no mucho más. El pollo y piña de mi novia estaba bien y disfrutamos, aparte de ser un montón saltier que ella es utilizada para.Para rematar, estaba a sólo 8 de la tarde y el hombre que sirve me dijo que se acababan de gambas galletas saladas, porque están muy ocupados!!! Unos chinos sin gambas galletas saladas? No es bueno.

We ordered from wink lee off of just eat .com and it took well over an hour to arrive,and when it did it was all stone cold!! The curry sauce looked watered down and everything else was dripping in grease.I rung them to complain and they couldnt care less they just kept asking me if we had eaten the food as the wanted it back,but we wasnt allowed a refund.Do not order from wink lee as its a disgrace

The food was awful! Sorry. We did try it a few times, but it still wasn't good.

We ordered a takeaway and it look an hour and 20minutes to arrive. When it did arrive we were shocked how poor it was. The food was drenched in oil. The curry sauce was watered down, and the satey chicken was dry and bland. Not a single dish looked or tasted fresh and looked like leftovers. We only ate a third of our meal and put the rest in the bin.
