WingTrapp in Leicester

This is by far one of the worst food establishment in the city, there is no balance of flavours, everything just seems to be slapped together, no wonder it always empty during lunch.

Best place for shrimp wings and burgers, fries are very well done too with really good packaging. Can’t fault the place, prices are fair as well.

Taste wise, it's alright. The problem is that it's not that great in terms of value for money. Burgers are very minimalistic and basic. The size of each dish is very little.

Brilliant place to stop and have a quick tasty work lunch!

I recently lunched at WingTrapp and was extremely disappointed with my experience. I ordered the chicken and prawn combo for £10.95, expecting a satisfying meal, but was met with dry, overcooked food. The chicken tasted as if it had been refried twice, resulting in a tough, almost inedible texture. The meal was mostly just a large portion of fries with very little else to offer in terms of variety or quality. For the price, I expected much more in terms of both flavor and presentation. Sadly, this meal was lackluster and left me feeling unsatisfied. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality meal.

I used to love the tamarind wings but you discontinued them :( please bring them back

Ordered buffalo mix wing and drums through uber eats. Not happy the food was without plentiful marinade, which this business used to be brilliant for. The food was lacking the marinade soupiness and the products has since changed from past experience

### Satisfying Bites at Wing Trapp I recently visited Wing Trapp and had a great experience! I ordered the hot dawg, and while it was nice, it didn’t stand out as anything particularly special. However, it was flavorful and satisfying, perfect for a casual meal. The house fries were also a highlight—they were crispy and seasoned well, making them a great accompaniment to the hot dawg. Excellent service. I Was served by ahmed and akul and i am so impressed, he is so polite and because of him my family get wingtrapp once a week. More staff need to be like him. He helped me understand the menu and explained how the munch box worked. The food was delicious and hot. Very impressed as last time i came which was nearly a year ago. It wasn't too impressive but now i love it. Thanks wingtrapp.

I have been going here on and off for many years and I am sorry to say this place has gone downhill. The dynamite sauce used to be delicious and creamy with enough used to dip chips and now they barely put any sauce in with just a small drizzle. The rest of the sauces are OK but you can tell a big difference in quality. I will not be going here again. I would urge the owner to do a mystery shop and retrain their staff. They are nice people but cannot cook decent wings.

Best Wings I've had in a while, it was cooked fresh and served hot. Both super saucy with distinct intense flavours. Had Sticky BBQ and Tamarind Boneless combo (£1 extra to have two flavours, had to try the flavours 🤔). 21/08/24 Update: Now called the WingTrapp The food is still really good, simple to chose what you want but waiting 35 minutes for you order and a deliveroo and a Just Easts people come after you and get served before you that's taking the piss

Paid £7 quid for the most tiniest portion of food. Total rip off. If you charge for food, at least give a decent portion. Very disappointed!!

Poor quality food. Menu doesnt state clearly re chips so had double the amount of chips. The wrap was small for the price, extremely salty!!! small slither of coleslaw which made it inedible. Boneless bites weren't great either. Waste of money!!

When you want wings you want wings! So when I saw wing traps in Leicester I knew that was for me. After scanning the menu and not being able to decide i eventually chose the flats and drums trapp box. 3 flats 3 drums in a choice of sauce with a good variety of sauce to choose from On top of fries. I must admit I wasn’t expecting too much but I was taken by suprise. Wings cooked well coated in sauce I chose buffalo and it was spot on. Just like wings stop original I prefer racnch and tomato herb dip and everything was above avarage and tasted great. I would definitely return and definitely recommend I’ve tried many many wings including the award winning chicken George and I can say wingtrapp was like a mini version. That’s high reguard! Would of like a better variety of drinks but will definitely return 8.6/10

Why have I been passing this place for 3 years and only now decide to try it! The chicken sandwiches were absolutely delicious and exactly what I am always craving in a sandwich. The portion was also really good and the chips had a delicious garlic seasoning to it. The staff was friendly and gave great advice and the prices were very good

My Delivery was told 25 mins for my order .I then rang the restaurant staff then told me its ready for collection but driver cancelled. They lied to the driver and made me wait longer .I will not be ordering anymore very rude staff at time of placing my order. Date 09/07/2024 02.15 pm .very bad customer service

The food quality is bad, I ordered chicken sandwich with a fries. The chicken was chewy I felt like I was eating a plastic, the bread as well was bad. The fries was good though

Highly recommend this place. Really good food. We ordered the wings meal with chilli mango and gazebo sauce, the flavours were amazing and the original crispy chicken burger is honestly the best I’ve had. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

The food quality and quantity has seriously gone down within the past year. I purchased some bonless chicken and fries with ranch. The chicken was the most disappointing part of the meal. Wingtrap used to serve tenders that were quite large, coated in sauce and where actually tender. The bonless option they now provide is dry, chewy and not enough sauce. The chips are sparse and cold. The ranch portion size and quality has gone down. The food is not satisying especially for the price.

Chips were cold, chicken was extremely dry, drink was missing from the order and churros were like rock

Came here yesterday and dynamite wings dynamite jerk mix and dynamite mango habanero. They butchered the dynamite sauce it got changed. It is terrible. Like watered down. Idk when this new menu came but bussines seems to have lost touch with its roots. The wings weren't even fully breaded. Gone downhill. Burgers and new stuff a jack of all trades is a master of none. They butchered this business such a shame. The dynamite was terrible lost it's kick. They have less flavours then before. Genuinely gutted

crazy mid, used to be way better

Hey, Just ordered from this restaurant, I have ordered BBQ Burger with fries. However, the quality of the food was not really good when I was eating the burger it was like I’m eating a gum the chicken was sticky and not fresh. The fries was cold what a poor quality first and last order from them👎 (Ordered through Uber Eats).

This place is pretty good for great saucy wings. I'm slightly addicted at this point. The habanero flavour is delicious. Also, to the staff that honoured my request, thank you. It's the simple things that creates loyal customers.

This is a scam ! The burgers are the size of a 99p burger from McDonald’s. The wrap is as small as it can get ! Over priced ! Never ordering front there again 🥴

This establishment is, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've encountered. My initial encounter with this place occurred shortly after its grand opening, and my expectations were shattered. The chicken coating lacked proper seasoning, and the accompanying chips were disappointingly dry. Hoping for improvement, I recently placed another order, enticed by the new items on the menu. Unfortunately, my anticipation was met with even greater dissatisfaction. The wings were severely overcooked, the burger with strips appeared as though it had been languishing for days, and the chips seemed like they had been sitting for an extended period, losing their freshness. Given my experiences, I strongly advise against dining at this establishment, particularly if you have any inclination towards their chicken wings.

Hi Team, Below describes my experience. 4 Years ago I left a 5 star review because this was the best chicken wings shop with one of the top service it gave. I now went after so long not only the portion sizes have gone small, prices gone up but also the lack of service given. Point 1 - When I ordered my food, the representative greeted me in a good manner took my order and took the payment. While waiting, I noticed there was 20% each order. I then asked another colleague does this discount automatically get applied. She said yes, luckily I retained my receipt and I then looked at my receipt there was no discount. I raised the concern which they compensated with a drink. Point being here is had i have not noticed that I wouldn't have got the discount which they were giving. Point 2 - As a takeaway customer paying for 5 wings amongs other things totalling my bill to around £16 I would've expected cutlery tissues wipes etc... As I got back to work I noticed there were no tissues, and no cutlery. Luckily I had asked for wipes prior to leaving. To top this off there was no dip for my wings included either. Before leaving the shop I couldn't even check if everything was in the bag because they staple it (sneaky tactic to stop people checking their own food?) Seeing this, I was very disappointed. I was more shocked that this was around 3pm and I was the only one in shop and not even busy so unsure what caused all this from the representative. This review is a development review which the management need to look into and work on as an urgency. Gone from 5 stars down to 2 stars.

Would not recommend. Burger didn’t taste fresh and was small, fries were poor quality, and the dip pot was small.

Ay up guys! Took a trip to Wing Trap after a ‘Rate my takeaways’ review video! 10/10 food! The place is to die for, can’t wait to come back!! The staff were amazing and the food is out of this world. Thanks Wing trap (and camera man)

I loved this place! Parmesan wings were banging and the cajun tomato was exceptionally delish! The hot DAWG was banging and im now full to a brim corrrrr!

New saver menu is good, the fries were not seasoned at all though , shake was packaged perfectly. Good value overall

I really enjoy wingtrapp. Good food and good price. Understaffed though just one guy doing everything and you have to shout to get attention as he's in the back cooking.

Don’t know what they’re doing but changing their dynamite sauce recipe is the worst thing they could’ve done. Guy on the phone said they will be changing the recipe of a few more too

Spoke to Shama, brilliant service when I walked in for my order, I also order on Uber, and I have to say them small messages on the receipt makes everyone’s day, keep up the good work.

Ordered wings in two different flavours from the Nottingham store which were amazinggg, the presentation of the food was great & also the halloumi fries were to die for. Definitely worth the money, don’t hesitate to order :)

I was out on a quick lunch from work and just needed something quick and light. I opted for a halloumi wrap. This was made fresh for me. I waited about 5-7 mins. It was absolutely delicious. The sauces and filings used complimented the halloumi perfectly.

Loaded chips were good but they got cold quite quickly. Maybe it was just due to ubereats delivery time

The food was awful. The chicken was old and had a weird old taste! It was sickening we couldn’t eat. What a waste of money!! Never going again!!

Whenever I'm in Leicester, WingTrapp is my ultimate go-to spot for some chicken wings. The variety of sauces and seasonings they offer is mind-blowing.

I went to the store in Birmingham today and I’m really pleased I did. The food was absolutely brilliant. I had the tender meal with buffalo and ranch. Tried a little Drum too with mango chilli. That was delicious. Moreover, the guy that helped me - Mo Zas. I think his name was was beyond excellent. He really needs to know that he did a good job. He took his time to take me through the menu and the options and was really helpful. I was so impressed.

Forgot my dips which come with each box. Only found out this when I got in my car so had to have chips and wings with no sauce. Boneless wings where dry. Fries we're bland. One positive was the jerk tenders. They we're tasty.

I popped in on a whim, passed it multiple times and kept saying I'll go in. Today I went in and the food was lovely. This ain't a fast food place, because everything is cooked to order. So you go in order and you get pipping hot food. Bossman was fantastic guy even came up and asked if all was good. Told him everything was great. Chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and tasty. I'll be back at some point in the future to eat more

If you want good customer service, flavour & a very nice interior to enjoy a meal in, this is the place for it. Very filling food, hands down some of the best shrimp I’ve ever had, if only they sold them separately. Highly recommend to anyone who’s a fan of flavour.

*** BEST WINGS OUT THERE! *** I came here on my lunch break as all I could think about was wings all morning! This was my first ever visit and definitely won't be my last neither! And I'll be telling family & friends about this place too. I ordered the Wings & Drums Trapp Box - Garlic Parmesan and it comes with lemon and pepper shrimps and fries too! The outter coating of the wings was cooked to perfection, fresh and crispy, complemented by the garlic parmesan. I could have eaten an entire bowl of those shrimps! The chips were crispy in the outside and fluffy on the inside! a solid 10/10. P.S the staff members were friendly too!

OK the food here is good and the servive is ok. The reason for the 3 stars is because the charge £2.50 for a can of coke. This is ridiculous its a fast food restaurant and I hate it when they try and shaft you with these overpriced essentials.

WingTrapp is my favourite place to eat in Leicester. Their food is delicious and full of flavour. I highly recommend a visit and be ready for some spicy wings. + You can collect + There seating for a quick bite + Cash & card payment is accepted + Staff are nice 💡order from their website or phone to get better deal. Deliveroo and JustEat have more expensive options. (Thank me later) Only disadvantage is you might not find parking.

I ordered the trapp box. The sweet and sour chicken tenders were so soft and flavourful, the chips were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside and the prawns were yummy too. The reason why i give 4 and not 5 is because the portion could be a little larger for the price of £12.50.

I got the boneless wings box. They were not hot or tasty.

Amazing food, chips were fresh and crispy, the garlic parmesan wings taste like garlic bread 😍 the loaded fries box was generously filled. customer service was excellent, the owner(?) gave us a bag of chips while we waited, kept the kids quiet!😅 love the fact they have a huge Halal HMC sign on the window leaving us no doubt. Definitely returning inshallah.

Had this last night wasn’t impressed bbq sauce is almost sour and had to scrape it off to eat wasn’t nice at all I felt asif the wings wasn’t cooked properly like they was stuck together and the sauce threw over the top to hide the fact and ild say I was right as I have a very bad tummy today gone very downhill since I last had it

I was recommended to try Wing Trapp by my neighbour Firoz as we were going to have a takeaway & so tried the 26 Platter with 4 different flavours of chicken drumstick and chicken wings with 4 different flavour dips. I was extremely blown away with the taste and would recommend this to anyone. Love it thanks Firoz.

Pretty dry chips. Friends got wings and shrimps they were not impressed. £3.50 for a tub of ranch. Ranch sauce was not ranch, it felt like yogurt and mayonnaise mix

Lost count on the number of visits to this place. The wings are just perfect, I would recommend you pay them a visit if you like your wings, garlic parmesan has to be my favourite.

I suggest you mans do not come and eat here. Honestly this chicken made my stomach go funnyyyy. Too expensive for just 5 chicken strips and chips, £8,50 and you don't even get a drink. Staff just sitting in the back had to wait 30 minutes for my food. Overall it's 0/10

Do not eat here, they do not give cutlery to eat with your food. They also make you pay for gloves which is funny because the food is not even worth having gloves on. To be honest my dog can make better food than this place, the customer service was atrocious once I ordered the staff just went to sit in the back and screaming loudly. Overpriced food and was not worth the amount of money I spent. If i could put 0 stars I would.

I’ve been looking forward to trying this and it didn’t disappoint. Mango Habnero is 🔥 and the tenders taste juicy and succulent. Oil tastes fresh and it comes really well presented.

Exceptional wings! I got the Trapp box so I could sample everything at once and was not disappointed! My order took around 10/15 minutes to get to me, but this only reassured me that my food was truly cooked to order so I didn't mind the wait. Dynamite sauce was amazing, just the right amount of zing and spice. The shrimp were flavourful and plentiful; I'm not a chip person but they were crispy and fluffy in all the right places. For a small store, I didn't have high expectations about the humble chicken wing but I'll be coming here to sample all the sauces and flavours in the future.
