Came to Bedford as a halfway point to meet family before Christmas, and found this cafe in the middle of the park. There is a takeaway menu (on board outside) and a sit down menu (found inside) which aren’t miles apart but are nonetheless different. We ordered meals and drinks for six. Food was pretty hearty - big doorstop sandwiches and generous portions of other food. Tasted good and reasonable price. Service was fine if a bit slow, though I think they may have had some new staff serving. Earns the 4 stars for being in the right place and having a decent enough menu. Great for a cuppa and bacon sandwich whilst the kids play

We popped by for a wedding anniversary lunch midweek, but was not able to get lunch at 2.30, so we had to move on somewhere else. Shame as we like the pavilion.

The waiting time to be served in this place is ridiculous,. There was one person in front of me that was ordering some drinks, she had 3 people serving her and after 10-15 minutes I gave up. To top it off someone a member of staff knew turned up and a drink was taken out to them straight away. No word of apology and I was ignored the whole time. I’m glad I left without ordering after service like that. This isn’t the first time this has happened here but it really is the case whether there’s is one person infront of you or 8, be prepared to wait a hell of a long time.

Tasteful, unique decor; fantastic, friendly service; and deliciously simple fare make this the number one choice for breakfast in Bedford. Can't wait to go back!

Now open from 8:30am but more importantly, first opportunity to sit inside and enjoy the refurbished surroundings of the old pavilion. Tastefully done, relaxing atmosphere and still lovely people! Nice to think they can cater for people all year round.

What an amazing location. Surrounded by beautiful trees and plants this is the perfect place for a coffee and a bite to eat. You would never know you were in the heart of Bedford. Whenever there is decent weather around, this is where I will be heading! Just a small observation, it says it opens from 8:30 but I think it's actually meant to say 9:00am since I walk past it each day around those times.

I have ordered food quite a few times from here. The website says a meal for one is in a large container, I have ordered a few times and it only came in a large container once, it comes in a small container, so the description on the website is misleading. We usually order a set meal for two, but have stopped ordering this as the duck in it was very dry on more than one occasion. The Curry is great if you like onions (its mostly onions) and very watery. I think it depends on who is cooking, and on what night you order, as it varies quite a bit Overall the food is very very good from here, freshly cooked and piping hot, not a bit greasy, we cannot complain even although many times they get the order wrong. A great Chinese takeaway, but check what they give you.

Super friendly staff and a pretty welcoming pub. There’s a small amount of seating outside, but overlooking the carpark doesn’t make it the most relaxing of spaces, With plenty of screens inside though it’s the perfect spot to catch up with sport and I’d happily visit again.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm always up for a Pizza Hut pizza. However, the prices now are way beyond a joke, and the prices jump depending on which day you go to eat. The buffet was an extra £5 on a Sunday than compared to a Monday, adding an extra £20 to the bill for apparently no reason at all. It was dead om the Sunday and I'm gunna assume it will be dead on the Monday as well. As far as the food goes, pizza is always good.
