Peri Peri Original (Halal) in Bedford

We cut it abit fine had 15 mins till our fast opened so we were expecting abit of a wait just incase. BUT let me tell you something! We was greeted and sat down, gave our order to Ahmed who was very hospitable, gave us free water to break our fast. Our food come out fresh and very quick. He kept asking if we needed anything and was very welcoming. Also my daughters got free chocolate cakes which went down a treat! I will be coming back here. Very nice food good standards and very good customer service. Thank you!

Breast burgers are very dry, very very dry, hard to chew, need to cook a little less or add more sauce when cooking

Ordered chicken wings , gave me burnt chicken thighs, noisy place to eat don’t even try to eat in. Peri peri chips but got plain chips. Time, money wasted

Top quality food and very friendly staff

Since yesterday, I ordered food from these people — and I swear I’ve been waiting so long I feel like I’ve aged a decade. Ordered at iftari, and guess when my food arrived? Sehri time! That’s right — a whole fast later. I thought maybe they were just too busy scamming people to cook my order. And after waiting 5 hours, you’d think they’d bring me a feast, right? Nope. They gave me half the food and told me to come back the next day for the other half! Now today, I’ve been waiting since Asr, and guess what? It’s nearly Sehri time again. I feel like I’ve been part of some reality show on patience and survival. And the best part? They’re so rude and so fraud, I’m convinced their customer service training came from a villain’s academy. Please, save your money and your time. Don’t order from here unless you want to experience a spiritual test of endurance and hunger. I’m so done.

It’s Ramadan time we ordered food on 12/03, I asked the lady there if the food was correct she persisted it was but I was certain I didn’t look right we got less than half of our order while it took 3hrs to get our food. We went back and asked them to get us the right food next day 13/03 to which we ordered at 16:00 is now 20:00 and we are still waiting on the food while at the restaurant. Don’t waste your money and time with this place.

Today's opening day was very busy with 50% discount. Staff stayed calm even with the hugh queue building up. Food was great

Worst takeaway in Bedford. Garlic bread came ICE cold, loaded fries….. fries with sauce and salad on top NOT what was described on the menu. Chips were soggy, the order was inedible

Would not recommend not only did it take over an hour to come they got the order completely wrong I got a burger and it was extremely stale and cold the chips are not too bad but honestly a waste of money !!

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE Made me wait 2 hours for my food and then proceeded to give me the totally wrong food and on top of that the food was stale! Absolutely disgusting

Went here for an impromptu dinner with my kids, as had passed the place a few times and was keen to check it out. I wouldn't recommend this place at all - food took 40 mins to arrive, staff members were arguing amongst each other, and there were no basics like napkins, salt sachets, and such like. Just glad none of us got food poisoning, as the place is far from well run.

Best take away in price bracket by far !!! Lovely fresh ingredients GREAT service swift delivery always hot and tasty i highly reccomend it the marinade on the chicken is so good . Food is decent but not what it used to be. I feel it has dropped in standards from when they first opened. Fries where very hard and crunchy. Couldn't push a fork through it as it just shattered.

Ordered a surprise bag from the store via good to go application. The pickup window was at 11pm. I was there at store sharp 11, they said there is no food without being sorry or saying sorry. Instead they had a surcastic smile and joke around their colleagues about it. I had food from here before The food was great but it is definitely the service that brings the customer back. Such a poor staff you have I was humiliated.

I recommend no one order from here never ever.I ordered from Deliveroo one chicken bhuna with rice,one chicken tikka masala with cholla Chiana,lam kebab and two garlic nana bread.both chicken curry was each is just like two dinners spoon portion.very very small portions if you give this food to 10 years old kids for him is not enough and garlic nan is too small and not well done like rubber.i was ordered for my wife n for me but I finished both then I order from somewhere for my wife.i call to the restaurant and I ask why is too small they said it’s each curry,rice,choola chana and dal all is 80gram of portion.now can you amazing what is that 80gram n rice was too dry.not at all test even.price was too high.

Bought a 5 wings meal for takeaway, havent been given any napkins, but I have been charged 50p to put some peri spices on french fries, ridiculous. First and last time, I've used this place! Peri peri very average.

Extra hot chicken oh my god delicious 😋

Ordered a gourmet burger, came out burnt AF. Its not gourmet at all. They claim to use brioche bun but its just a standard bun. Not nice at all. The chicken wrap came with few days old chicken in it, you can just tell. Chewy AF. I mean if you mess up burgers and wraps you might aswell look for another profession. Oh forgot, they gave mayo sachets, they were 7 months out of date.

Their chicken is one of the best I've ever tasted. I'd say go for the mixed/mega platter if you're eating with friends, very worth it and delightful. Staff is also very friendly.

Mini platter was good. Striped were dry. Giant fillet burger was a waste of money ended up in the bin due to how dry it was. Overall it was good. Will have the platter again

They tell you a delivery time that they don’t stick to and when you call up it’s an automated system and they don’t answer. Will never order again

Peri peri chicken extra Hot …. Wowww

Really dissatisfied, at first they were really good, but now the other gentleman who has a turban and is always on the grill with his headphones in does not seem to care, overcooks the chicken and when you ask for extra sauce you get less. Comparing this to other peri peri original locations they are really far behind. They're chilli sauce is totally different. They don't use mccain chips and use some cheap alternatives. Not sure whats happened but since that young guy with the turban took over that grill it's never been the same.

Received order and once again fried chicken is burnt and over cooked burgers are overly salty and they never follow instructions for order either. Absolutely terrible service and food quality. Will be avoiding this place.

Chicken wrap one of the worst in the whole Bedford very hard and dry chicken, chicken wings has bad smell(bad smell means BAD smell) Looks kids not going university doing experiments here. Strongly not recommend

Just had food there. Chicken tikka with rice, a rice refill, chicken burger and a meal deal... Over all good experience. Would surely go again to eat some other food. Total bill was £23 for 3 persons.

Great restaurant, with lovely offers, very kind and friendly staff. Cleanliness is good too. There is a great vibe about this establishment, nice atmosphere and it is perfect for families with children, large groups catching up or just a quick dinner after work. Disappointing, was told by many the famous saxon road peri peri is now in bedford, tastes nothing like the original one in luton, very average and dry chicken with no peri marinade or sauce whilst cooking, chips are cooked in a different oil too and the sauce tubs the garlic mayo and chilli are generic commercial sauces ones from a supermarket, not sure if they have the recipe yet or not but definitely hoping this changes and they actually do bring the original taste from Luton
