Pizza Express - Bedford in Bedford

They charged almost £4 for a little 330ml can of coke ! Normally get a bit 1.75L for that price !! Absolutely shocking at the price of that drink ! Also pizza and garlic bread VERY oily. Pizza wasn’t even cut. I had to use my own pizza cutter ! Thankyou to the delivery driver though. He was very polite. I will not be ordering from pizza express again.

The driver couldn't find the building he phoned me but the signal was bad, I described the building. I found a message (19:31) telling me he was in the carpark asking me to go outside to collect the food. I messaged him telling him he neefed to use the intercom to bring the food to the flat. He brought the food to the flat as he handed it to me I could tell the pizza was cold he said no it wasn't. It was stone cold, I had to put the oven on to reheat it. The courier was on a bicycle (40 mins)

I was very late. I waited more than two hours for the delivery.

informed food will be with me at 7pm. Food delivered at 9pm. tracking update time kept altering so many times. Ringing the restaurant twice no return call. Not impressed at all. Food was luke warm. 50 plus £, not a happy customer.

Lovely food but took almost an hour for a collection service when it said 10 minutes after I ordered which was disappointing as I went out to get it on a break at work

The best branch... I've been to loads. Here they have the vibe and the food spot on. If you go to another, you feel how little there is compared to Bedford. The key is they care you're there and that the stuff is good and being enjoyed. Best team, all of them, but special mention to Aysh on our most recent visit - just a really nice person, attentive in her job and made sure that her umpteenth and final service of the day was good for us. 100% from first to last

Visited here for my mother’s birthday and it was lovely! Food was amazing and the service made that whole experience perfect! We were served by Samant who was lovely and had go above and beyond to serve my mum a birthday cake which made her day! Thank you

We placed a pre-order at 4pm for 7.15pm and it turned up at 8.35! Way too late. They wouldn’t answer the phone .

I had to ask the delivery driver where one of the pizzas were as he was only going to give me one. It wasn’t until later I realised dough balls had not been delivered either. Food was good but delivery wasn’t. Not happy at all!

A friend bought me here for lunch. I'm not a big pizza fan myself but what I had did taste nice. The kids (6) enjoyed their food with a nice simple choice between pizza or pasta dishes. The starter was lovely and tasted fresh and they got a cute little sundae for dessert. The waitress was fantastic. She really engaged with the kids and made them a part of the conversation which was great. The atmosphere was ok. The restaurant was nice although the toilets seemed a bit rough around the edges. It felt like you're walking into the back storage rooms or something. The other thing was when we arrived there was a large kids party there but they were placed right in the front window and the parents were all stood around the entrance making it really unclear where to go or how to squeeze through, which felt really off when we arrived. I would take the little one there again for lunch.

I love it in here. The staff are always amazing and I love the food. Today's visit was made really great by our waitress Shivani, who was lovely, patient and there for us in an instant despite the fact that the restaurant was super busy.

The courier was extremely patient and kind by waiting 50mins at the restaurant to make sure we got our order. Very much appreciated

When I originally looked to place the order the expected turnaround was 20-35 mins. By the time I had placed the order this had increased to an hour. When the pizza arrived it was cold so then had to wait even longer to warm it up.

From the beginning staff were welcoming and professional, upon ordering the member of staff that served me, made a special amendment for me to my dessert, making a potentially off day to a good one :) Definitely recommend coming here, I have been here a few times and the experience is always great, The food was and is delicious too! I’d provide a photo but I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take one!

Staff were really rude to me in regards to the national pizza day promotion the restaurant was ‘fully booked’ despite having numerous free tables. Not impressed

Recientemente visitamos Pizza Express, y todo parecía ir bien al principio. Sin embargo, las cosas tomaron un giro decepcionante. Al principio, cometimos el error de mencionar que teníamos la intención de utilizar los vales Tesco. A partir de ese momento, el servicio se ralentizó notablemente. No solo nosotros experimentamos esto: la mesa contigua también mencionó el uso de vales y enfrentó retrasos similares. Sentí como si tener vales de repente nos hiciera menos prioritarios. La comida en sí estaba bien, pero el servicio dejó mucho que desear, con largas esperas tanto para los pedidos como para el servicio. Desafortunadamente, la falta de atención eclipsó la experiencia. Es una pena porque teníamos grandes esperanzas, pero la actitud hacia los usuarios de vales realmente nos ha pospuesto el regreso.

The order was completely wrong, food nice but not what we wanted.

Delivery driver location went “unavailable” 10 mins after the original delivery time - which kept moving further away. When driver eventually turned up he said something about losing signal and having to meet his brother. The food was stone cold and tasted bad. Considering we’re in hospital with our infant son and paid almost £60 for this hot meal, this is a very disappointing experience indeed. I tried contacting pizza express directly but two calls went unanswered.

Friendly and polite staff, I was greeted right away. 5 pizzas and sides ready in 20 minutes, very amazing. All of my family members said their food was amazing great quality !

Placed an order through Just Eat, which took 2 hours to get to me, Just Eat were worse than useless to sort out, but I rang the restaurant Pizza Express and told them the problem and spoke to Daniel who couldn’t have been more helpful, he even rang Just Eat on my behalf to find out when delivery was happening, thankfully he made fresh pizza for us (as old ones had gone cold through waiting) and finally they were picked up 2 Hours after I placed order. But my review is for the lovely pizzas and the lovely Daniel for his help. As for Just Eat…I have deleted the App!!!

Placed my order at 18.55 and it was delivered at 21.05, and that was down to just eat delivery Not the restaurant so have now deleted the Just Eat App!!

Pizza was cold, dry like it was made a day ago, I ordered a thin base but this was so thin the base was like dry paper. It wasn’t sliced, no taste just of pepper. For the price over £22 it was a disgrace I ended up walking to the supermarket to buy a pizza to cook. My children were starving and very hungry and disappointed. This was their treat.

The *new* Mac and Cheese was nothing of the sort. Just pasta spirals in a gloopy, garlicky sauce that didn’t even taste of cheese. And for almost £16 the portion size was shocking. Stick to their pizzas 🍕

If you're not indigenous from the UK and you want to eat at this outlet in the daytime, make sure you book in advance or they won't let you in. Seems like they have a dodgy fellow amongst their staff.

Went in at lunchtime, and despite the restaurant having free tables, we were told they could not serve us. Asked if we'd made a mistake and whether we should have booked in advance, we were told that we could just walk in off the street, but today they would not serve us. No reason was given as to why, and we could tell they just wanted us to quietly just go away, which we did. Much to their delight, I presume. I can not recommend this restaurant, and I can share any reason for their discrimination against us as they were silent in their responses.

Food was great and the service was impressive.

We booked a table for 7 people, 20:00 on 9th August 2024. We tried some of the new menu options and we weren't disappointed. I had the american double cheese and it was amazing. We all had great food and excellent service by Jazmin. It's nice not have to flag down staff for drinks. Food arrived hot, well presented and tasty. Will definitely return.

Great children’s party at pizza express in Bedford. My daughter and her friends absolutely loved this party experience and it was well organised and prepared. My family have been coming to pixza express for years and have always enjoyed our experiences. On this occasion i ordered pasta carbonara for myself and my children and was disappointed. For the price of £15.95 I expected a decent portion, a creamy sauce, and pasta cooked well. We got none of that. The amount of pasta received was shocking. It was dry, over cooked and rubbery, I have had this carbonara in other branches and it was alot better. On a positive note the calamari was great and the dessert. Service was also great. Please please improve the quality of cooking as we do normally enjoy our meals at Pizza Express. Thanks

Excellent pizza Awful service. We were a party of 2, arrived at midday on a Saturday and were seated swiftly. PE was quiet and we were seen to and eventually placed our orders (one starter and two mains between us) which came to us fairly quickly. We asked for the dessert menu afterwards and had a discussion about what was on there (coffee etc). We were then forgotten about. We gathered the attention of someone from PE who brought our waitress back who apologised and then said she could not recall us wanting anything for afterward. She came around with a dessert menu and walked off. We decided what we wanted between us and tried to get someone's attention again to order. We then decided to pay for the starter and main instead and didn't order the desserts/coffee. A dessert and coffee was consumed at home which saves money but did cut my catch up short.

Well appointed, clean restaurant- we visited late afternoon, so it was fairly quiet. Very welcoming staff and extremely polite.

¡Vaya, qué comida tan encantadora! Quería tener una cena fuera, a pesar de que estoy tratando de perder peso, pero tuve una fantástica comida de 3 platos por menos de 1000 calorías! Mi marido y yo compartimos un entrante de pan de ajo mozzarella, que era agradable y pequeño (como esperaba) pero extremadamente sabroso. Luego tomé la lasaña, que era preciosa. Lo redondeé con sorbete de frambuesa y helado de stracciatella (vainilla con chispas de chocolate), absolutamente precioso, y bebí agua. ¡Fueron las mejores 989 calorías que he tenido en siglos! El personal era amable y el servicio atento y eficiente. Una gran noche. ¡Volveremos!

First time ordering from this place I got a joke. burnt pizza, splashed on the sides like somebody would put hand on it. I got pizza that actually I didn't order. Always pizza express has their label that States it's not touchednetc. this time I got everything in plain pizza boxes. I'm really disappointed and probably will think twice before trying again order anything. Generally pizza taste like bread.
