Wonderful service as per usual. How any one could visit and not have an incredible time is beyond me. The staff are a delight, the food is exemplary and the atmosphere is first class. Never had anything but an amazing experience in Bedford Pizza Express. Keep up the amazing work team.

Great food and exceptional staff waiting on us, who explained about the VIP 50% offer enabling us both to enjoy half price pizzas. Despite the restaurant being busy, the food was delivered in a timely manner.

This Pizza Express has been around for as long as I can remember, and I've always had a great experience, from attending birthday parties when I was little, right up to a dinner catching up with a friend or a date night. The service is always prompt, staff are friendly, and I love the decor. I really like the consistency across the brand, as I know I can go to near enough any Pizza Express and experience the same great service wherever I go! It's not the cheapest thing around, but it's always a nice treat to get to go!

Excellent service on a busy day. There were 10 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was as expected and we all got what we ordered with no problems. Great experience and a thoughtful waitress who kindly kept picking up stuff the kids had dropped. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Excellent service, but slightly overdone pizza this time around.

So it was my first time ordering Pizza express for a home delivery and god knows why I didn’t go for the regular chain where their business model is home delivery. The food arrived stone cold! Like you eating the leftovers in the morning. Called the restaurant, no answer. No option on their app where I ordered from and no option to even open the order detail on the Uber eat app, they use them as a delivery partner. Big mistake, will learn from it!

Pre theatre dinner trip so there at 5.30. service & food great. Obviously popular as it was quite busy & the atmosphere was good. Just a couple of issues (hence 4 stars) 1. Potatoes in Nicoise salad were not cooked enough 2. Nowhere out the front for ciggie butts, which encourages litter. Other than this I would not hesitate to book again 👏

Popped in for a pizza before the theatre. The service was great (Nyaella) and the food hot and fresh. The restaurant was busy, even at 6.15pm on a Friday evening, so best to book.

The food was absolutely fresh and delicious! The smell that was coming from our pizzas was so amazing! The pizza is brought to you with a pizza cutter, so you can cut it yourself the way you like it. It was fun for my child to cut his own pizza the way he prefers. The staff was very friendly and well mannered, always willing to help too! The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing. The tables were clean. The toilets were clean and the seats are well organised, so you have enough space to eat comfortably. My son had his birthday party here a few years ago and I am happy to say that the restaurant still lives up to its highest standards. We had a lovely lunchtime! Thank you!

Best Pizza Express I have been to anywhere! The chefs here just make the food so much better. And although it can get a bit hectic for them, the staff are always keen to help. Plus, its close to my new Airbnb investment so I'll definitely be recommending it for my guests - providing they like pizza!

Always love to eat here with the family. We totally trust this venue to cater for our Coeliac (gluten free) daughter. Lots of options that she can eat and me too as I am intolerant to egg and dairy. The venue is always well presented with a great atmosphere. We always gave a great experience with staff, everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable with ingredients etc. Plenty of easy parking nearby on Goldington Road (free after 6pm).

Dare night tonight was a success, thanks to the incredible team in your Bedford restaurant. We were greeted, and seated quickly and asked for allergies. The food came out hot and in good time, the kitchen team looked very organised - the tall chef has great control of everything. Our waitress was great and the Managers were very attentive - thank you all

Food from here is lovely. However, from two recent Uber Eats orders, I’ve had two missing items. Uber sends a refund but thats no good when you haven’t got enough/need to collect more for your guests. Pity as the food is just as you’d hope from them.

It's an OK pizza express. We sat outside as it was sunny, but it's a busy road with very little to look at so you're better inside. Food was predictable, which is fine. Service was average, which is fine. We had a quick uncomplicated lunch.... which is what we wanted.

Nice and easy, yummy lunch and the kids enjoyed! Will be back again soon for more dough ball magic!

Visited Pizza Express, Bedford for the first time this evening with high expectations and ready to enjoy a good quality pizza. We didn’t have a booking, on arrival we met by a host who wasn’t welcoming or smiling; there was no eye contact. Once confirmed by the supervisor with hand signals that they had availability for us, we were shown to a table. The waiter who took our order was more welcoming and smiling. Margarita pizza and veggie pizza was okay, (had much better tasting ones previously) florentine pizza was one of the worst I have ever had. The eggs were supposed to be runny but they were overcooked, the cheese was hard. Overall it was a disappointing dining experience for the price we paid. Unfortunately, We won’t be coming back in a hurry.

I was looking forward to a lovely lunch at PE in Bedford to be greeted by the most rudeist, waitress I have ever incounted in my life! With that type of customer service I think she is in the wrong job! Shocking! However,the food was fantastic just ashame the waitress didn't match up to the food,on other occasions I have visited PE and had a nice time but this has definitely put me off returning!

Crissy, our waitress, provided exceptional service, and Gemma, the Manager, was incredibly kind to us. I highly recommend this restaurant due to its excellent food quality.

Made it just in time for my booking. Took an unexpected detour through town after realising I was going the wrong way. Could have saved myself a lot of time as it was actually right near where I'd parked. Tucked out the way not mixed in with all the other eateries in the area. Very nice decor inside whi h made a very nice atmosphere, almost holiday like. Food was usual pizza express, pizza was nice and fresh, quality ingredients though i wish I chose something different to the calabrese Cannelloni for the wife which she said was nice but could have been served with garlic bread or something for the price. Looks like it comes ready in a dish and heated through the pizza oven but tasty all the same Nearly 50 notes total whi h was 1 drink each and just the 2 mains. Had vouchers which made it less than £20. Would go again but bring a packed wallet

We celebrated a special family birthday meal here as a group of 11 (teens and adults) and were made to feel so welcome and well-catered for. From our arrival, the staff allowed us to put up birthday balloons and banners as well as making room around the table for one of our party who was in a wheelchair. We were served by a couple of members of staff who did an excellent job and we particularly want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Reda who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. The food was so flavoursome, delicious and great value. We were able to make use of Tesco vouchers on our bill and it was all calculated without any hassle. Then, since we had brought a birthday cake with us, the staff got this ready in the kitchen; adding candles and mint leaves to ensure it looked even more amazing when they brought it out. We are each so very grateful that this family reunion was made all the more special thanks to the amazing efforts of the serving and kitchen staff - THANK YOU SO MUCH :-)

Delicious food, spotlessly clean, service is normally very good although our waitress forgot a cheese cake and coffee last night. This is not something we've experienced before here.

Nothing was too much to ask. We were greeted by a lovely server and although we had booked for 3 and were only two, we were seated at a big table even though I offered to switch to a smaller table. There was an apology for coming over too late to take our drinks, but that wasn’t needed! Everything we ordered came out at timely intervals and was of good quality. We were able to take home my daughter’s unfinished pizza. As we were leaving, the main server made sure to say goodbye, which she didn’t have to do. Service here tonight was amazing, made a lovely night out with my young daughter even more special. Thank you Bedford team.

We had a great evening here, the staff were all very polite and friendly, the food was very tasty and it was a great atmosphere too. We haven't eaten here in years so thought we would try it out again. We will definitely be going back again in the future.

Attended here last night, for the first time, I felt really dissociated, I worked for PE in shad Thames and winchmore Hill some years ago and the level of service that I know if was completely missing. 1st we were made to wait to be seated, having once been seated a further 35 minutes before we was even asked for our drinks, the 2 woman whom served us were both so rude, I couldn't work out why, the woman I was with made the remark they clearly don't like a white man and a black woman together, maybe it was that, however there was absolutely no need to be as rude and as nonchalant as they were. The food was amazing, it always is at PE so a thank you to the chefs I know those guys work hard as I'm sure you all do. The restaurant is beautiful, well decorated, modern, vibrant, sadly when we asked if the romana pizza could be cut in half and put in a box the waitress, rolled her eyes, huffed then took it away for a further 5 minutes, only left on the plate and thrown back on the table. I felt incredibly uncomfortable, we was the last ones to leave, the noise you guys made, effectively made us leave, the banging and clanging of the plates was unreasonable, that never happened in my day, I felt like we was being forced out the restaurant, I felt really bad not leaving a tip, it's the first time I've ever done that in a PE, sadly I was shocked at the level of service, the staff we had wasn't friendly, they wasn't polite, I felt almost like we were just left and forgotten about. Sadly I wouldn't recommend this PE to anyone, I've visited over 120 chains, despite being well decored the business is run, contrary to all that I know how the company atleast once run, the standards I'm talking about wouldn't have changed either, they would have become.even tighter so this experience is strange. You Made us feel extremely unwelcome and that I can't accept.

Very nice and cosy place. We loved our visit here. Definitely recommend their Paneer Tikka pizza and Carbonara pasta. Delicious 😋 Private car park at the rear (although you need to be careful as is not quite visible from main street and you may pass it). Piccolo menus are available at a very reliable price.

I go pretty much every week,take advantage of the rewards on app.Seems as though SOME staff hate the fact bill goes from £60 to £20. Younger staff are better with service expect the old lady with short hair literally doesn’t fit this role. Poor body language no smile doesn’t care. Off putting rather drive 30 mins to Milton Keynes. Last visit to this place.

I would not even give it one star , the staff were honestly so rude and do not even smile and make you feel welcome. They did not even come once to check up if we were okay and sat us in a very awkward place. I have never met such rude staff in my life , do not work in a restaurant if you have such bad customer skills almost as though they don’t want to be there.

Great freshly cooked food with nice atmosphere. We've visited this Pizza Express several times now and would put it in our top 5 for restaurants to visit in Bedford. The pizza is always good and the staff are friendly and helpful (for me with any restaurant it is the effort the staff put in that makes the difference). The Pizza Express app works well, it rewards loyalty with complimentary food and drink the more you go, I also like the fact you can check and pay your bill from the app so no waiting around to pay when the place is busy but importantly we go there because we like the food and the atmosphere.

I came here on Friday 4th November with my friends and our 1 years old toddlers. We asked to be seated away from other dinners incase our toddlers started making a noise, so we was seated by the window. We was given pens and hats for our toddlers. Our drinks and food order was quickly taken, and we decided to share a kids meal between our toddlers as they are still a bit too small for a meal of their own. Our starters was quickly brought out, and the staff had split the kids meal so our toddlers had a plate of their own. We hadn’t asked for this - we was more than happy to split it ourself, but it was very appreciated. Our starters and mains was absolutely delicious. We was then asked if we would like dessert so chose the salted caramel sundae - what a taste sensation. Overall it was a very lovely experience: it can be very daunting eating out with youngsters, but we was made to feel very welcome.

The restaurant was busy but we were seated without booking. The service was wonderful and a staff called Chrissy was very kind and gave me an extra scoop of ice cream due to a minor chef error. I would definitely recommend and would go again.

I arrived with my wife & daughter @ 18.30 yesterday slightly earlier to be met by a male host who was lifeless as we entered the restaurant, the lady took our order at 18.30 but it then took 33 minutes to get a Diet Coke and a jug of water even though there were only 6 tables max 4 people at each table, I received the pizza on a ceramic plate with a knife that would not cut butter At no time did anybody come over & ask how our meal was during our experience Very poor & would not return

Haven't been here for a while, my friend recommended it as she goes often. The restaurant was quite busy, we were sat promptly and given menus. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We had a lovely meal, will be returning.

went with my friends for a birthday meal, and i was very disappointed with the lasagna as it was very small and not worth the money at all!! the waitress did not check up on us as much as she should’ve - service was very poor - adding onto that, she was very slow with the bill and allowing us to pay (some of us had a taxi waiting outside) also, at the end of the meal we had a 30% discount (student) which was calculated incorrectly and we had to pay £10 more than we expected.

The food and service has always been good here. The place is very clean and the staff are very friendly. Our go to takeaway on a Tuesday when we eat Veg. Their new addition of romana pizzas like Hoisin duck are also good. Far better than at a different pizza express. Only downfall is parking which you have to pay for but its very close to it.

Despite a lengthy conversation with the manager on arrival regarding use of tesco vouchers and multiple family groups within large group to celebrate son's birthday...bill payment conflict RUINED our time. Nothing done to help me as a customer manage the situation before it became a problem, despite my request to order and pay separately from the beginning. The server worked really hard on her own. The manager had not communicated to the server that some of us were using tesco vouchers towards our portion of the bill, we were encouraged to use the Pizza Express app, some members of our group (without tesco vouchers) claimed the free dough balls and drink. Therein lay the problem, we were told we couldn't use our vouchers as well! I do understand this, however, had the manager helped me by allocating table numbers to each group, then separate order/bill...THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. COME ON PIZZA EXPRESS SORT IT OUT OR DON'T PARTNER WITH TESCO CLUBCARD! Afterall, we're all trying to get by in this cost of living crisis, and using our vouchers meant we could take our son out & see his family on his birthday.

My friends and I often use Pizza Express as it is a reliable choice and the service is normally very good. We were really disappointed in the service this time. We were seated quickly and it was very quiet. Our waitress took the order but didn't appear to be concentrating;, I checked there was no cucumber in the salad and she snapped that it didn't come with cucumber anyway . She didn't ask us to try the wine before pouring. We sent a waitress away who brought an order for another table to us. There was obvious a problem with our mains and one of the dishes had been taken incorrectly. We told the helpful younger waitress who came to explain that we were happy to have the two correct pizza's and I would wait for mine as mistakes are made. The original waitress came and told us the mistake was made as the buttons on her tablet were too small. I told a member of staff that the outside area of the toilets was really slippery but we didn't see any action taken and it was the same when we left. The food was fine but the service was surly. We had to attract attention for someone to take our dessert and cocktail order (we were going to have hot drinks but by this point weren't going to have time).. Two managers were stood chatting and there was very little staff supervision or customer interface. (The previous manager was excellent and always on top of everything). When our dessert and cocktails were delivered we asked for the bill and explained we were shortly due to go to an event. It eventually came and two of us paid by card explaining that we had worked out the split, the waitress then disappeared before the last third was paid. We went to ask why we couldn't finish paying the bill to be told she had to work it out. I then spoke to the female manageress to ask what the problem was to be snapped at again and told they were sorting it out. No apology for the delay. The waitress then brought the card machine and ordered my friend to pay. The screen wasn't on the payment page and the waitress got annoyed when we pointed this out. We finally paid and I told the male manager that the service had been shocking but he didn't reply or seem bothered. As we left I heard shouting behind me across the restaurant . The waitress shouted at me in front of all the other customers that she had earlier received a call to say her uncle was dying but she had come to work anyway. I pointed out that I had been in the service industry for 44 years and you and either stay off work or don't take your problems out on paying customers if you do come in. Really disappointed.

Great service and lovely food as always. If you like pizza they do make a really good effort and stay true to many of the traditional values. If you're looking for a deep pan loaded up with mountains of cheese this is not the place. The best of all the pizza chain restaurants in my opinion. And family friendly too!!

I visited this pizza express yesterday with my sister. Talk about indirect discrimination in 2022!! Well it happened St Peters this restaurant. As we walked in all the staff were looking at us. Even thoughs who were preparing our food. We were waiting an hour before we got our starters, there were people coming into the restaurant well after us that were eating their main courses. We asked the waitress were was our order she said she had asked the waiting staff a couple of times but they still had not completed our order!! We called the manager and he said that the waiting staff lost our ticket we said how was that possible when the slips are clip in front of them! In addition, our waitress told us that she enquired a few times. Even a few diners who commenting. Anyway we got our starters which were burnt! We then waited another 30 minutes to be served burnt pizzas!! Everyone around us had NO burnt food had arrived well after us ate and left, but we were still waiting to be served. The only 2 black individuals in the full restaurant. The manager said he could do nothing about it!!!!! So we left not having any dinner!!! Advise stay well away!!!!

A group of friends, Pizza Express has been our venue for catch-ups spanning many years, but we haven't managed to visit much in the last two years. The restaurant has had a face lift, it looks fresh and inviting, the food was absolutely delicious, and it was lovely to see so many tables full on a weekday evening. Hopefully we'll be back before too long.

On the whole a good evening. Nice atmosphere and good food. We took mum out for Mother's Day. Some subtle changes on the menu though. I personally like the tomato and mozzarella starter. The amount of mozzarella has significantly (50%) reduced! Still tasted good but not the dish it was. The first bottle of red wine (a Rosso) was very forgettable and the white chosen from the menu wasn't the same as we were served. We all enjoyed it and we'll all go back. Our young waitress did quite well and the other staff were pleasant.

Food was amazing. Can not fault it one bit. Service was excellent. Will definitely be going again soon.

I have been going to the Pizza Express in Bedford once every few weeks for more than 30 years. Tonight the meal was awful...apparently the usual chefs have left and the new ones are not up to scratch. Our meals took far too long to...

Superb place to go. Polite and friendly staff with a nice atmosphere. Stand out feature for us is that they are extremely good with gluten free, the first time we're able to eat with peace of mind (our daughter has celiac). We will definitely be going back soon.

This has to be one of the best pizza restaurants I have been to, the service is fast, the food quality is on point and the hygiene is sparkling, I totally recommend this pizza chain, especially this restaurant.

New year's eve we was in Bromley and asked if they had a table for 2 and a very kind member of staff came to the door and said that they were fully booked but they managed to find us a table fantastic staff and excellent service from food was delicious would definitely recommend pizza Express in St Marks Square Bromley From The Dualers fan
