Wimpy in Brent

Was visiting Troubadour, with family, so wanted something fairly quick and easy. All the Wimpy's near us have closed, so was pleased to go to one, for the nostalgia. I was a bit worried about the other reviews but thought we'd give it a try and go elsewhere, if awful. We were very pleasantly surprised, the service was quick, polite and friendly from all staff, attentive but not over the top, food was well presented and served in good time.

I had a good experience. Surprised by some of the reviews. I walked in on a Saturday evening. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive. Not too busy. Clean and basic. I ordered the battered cod & chips. I couldn't fault it. Freshly prepared. Huge portion. Comforting and delicious. The dish comprises a crispy battered cod, chips & your choice of peas or Heinz® Baked Beans. I went with the baked beans. So good. Simple and basic.

Service is atrocious, 1 hour to get a burger a chips, disgraceful, they should be ashamed, never waited so long for fast food.

The food was absolutely stunning.

I like this place there's not many around and I like to think of it as a hidden gem on event days as its my go to and I've never not got a seat. Before most football games I head there and recently took my nieces to see taylor swift and asked if they wanted to go there and explained its nice and chilled out before we hit the big crowds further down. Both nieces enjoyed what they had I love they have coke floats on the menu where do you find them elsewhere? All in all it will continue to be my go to before any wembley events as long as it's there!

Ordered double quarter pounder meal. Fries were great and good portion. Burger was nice but for £22 I expect it not to be cold.

The staff were very pleasant. The atmosphere was as expected. The food was not nice. Everything was extremely dry and obviously processed. I don't like eating processed food 👿 Eating out one expect tasty food not food taking out of a freezer and into the deep fryer. Never again!!!

I haven’t had Wimpey in years. This was a really good tasting meal. Delivery on time too.

My family and i wanted to have a nice english breakfast but this wasnt so nice if im being honest , i saw the english breakfast poster outside it look alright so we decided try it as the other cafe was full . I walk inside and the place didnt look very appealing to the eyes it kinda gave me five guys vibes and the kitchen looked sketchy . The lady taking an order was nice but the food took an awfully long time!! (we ordered a English breakfast with hot chocolate , 2 thickshakes and cheesy fries) After i ate the english breakfast i didnt feel very well , i had a headache . THE FRIES!!! :( i had one word to Describe them ...AWFUL! , they were dryer than the sahara desert and it looked like she smacked some cheese on there and microwaved it and called it a day!! The only pleasent thing was the thick shake it was nice , creamy but the marshmallows that came with it had hairs and weird black particles on it!! Sometimes u have to judge a book by its cover because on the poster the food looked really good but in reality it was not u expected!!

Blast from the past. A bit pricey but food is nice and they even serve it through a hatch

There are good vegan and vegetarian options, coming from a pescatarian. I'm a Wembley local and although this place is a bit rough around the edges (perhaps it's a retro flare, it being stuck in the 70s) it adds character and it has good business on event days. The food is cheap and cheerful and not bad at all. There aren't many Wimpys left, so if you really want to go in a unchanged, 🇬🇧 time capsule for a casual dinner, I'd choose this diner. It's definitely better to dine in than taking away because then the food arrives a bit soggy. Either way, the vanilla milkshake is absolutely delicious and the staff are lovely!

Burger was awful. Really cheap looking...and tasted poor. Shame as I was looking forward to it...and decided to not have a big mac. Bad decision.⁹

Just popped in as didn’t fancy Maccies for breakfast over the road. It was delicious. I ordered an omelette that isn’t on the menu and they were very obliging, staff friendly, food cooked perfectly. Will be back if we come to Wembley again

We are 4 miles away and food was hot. Loved it.

After 30 years, I visited Wimpy again to try the Beanburger. The bread bun was a bit dry. However, apart from that, it was delicious.

Wasn't at all impressed, as although the area was having an event and the restaurant was very busy. Was given a menu which thought it was table service which you need to order at the counter. Very limited on the menu too so won't be returning any time soon. Been to many wimpys up and down the country but this has to be the worst I've been too.

Haven't had a Wimpy since being a kid.......decided today to give it a go and was not disappointed. Every mouthful was full of flavour. Portion size and quality compared to the other leading brands puts them all to shame. Will DEFINITELY order from here again and would certainly recommend giving Wimpy's a go. Very pleased.

Fool me once, shame on me? Fool me twice….etc. What happened to your ice cream? I love it and your food? First time I was fooled was a delivery mistake, I thought? Last night was delivered on time and, just like the previous order my £3.70 ice cream? Was ice and cream? Icicles? I’m going elsewhere for my ice cream now for sure? WTH happened?

The burger wasn’t wrapped properly so it was all split apart and the cheese was stuck to the bag. And the milkshake had lumps in it like the machine hadn’t been cleaned or the milk had gone off.

I had a very indulgent burger here. It had some normal toppings like cheese, bacon and onion rings, but also had a full frankfurter curled around inside. Tasty madness. I was amused and nourished by it. Nice people too.

I haven’t bothered to comment on my many other orders/ deliveries unless I was extremely satisfied? I have commented on Wimpy a few times because I have chosen nothing but Wimpy and I have never been disappointed? ( I did order from another app at first order and I was shocked at how bad that choice was?) I wanted hot food and Uber couldn’t do it for whatever reason. I am now a regular customer of Just Eat and I have been for a long time and I will continue to be! (That’s how fresh my food is now

Whether earlier or even on time? The quality and freshness of my Wimpy deliveries has been 100% and I will continue as long as Wimpy and Just Eat. The first time I ordered was with Uber and was such a disappointment that I almost didn’t bother with my second order? However I did try with Just Eat and my orders have been perfection ever since! Glad I tried for a second time and having just finished my order, yet again I have to say…. Well done and happy new year to Wimpy and to Just Eat!

Fresh as always since I started ordering from Just Eat/Wimpy. Yolk runs out with first bite and I have actually ordered from Wimpy quite a few times recently and I have never been happier with the food and delivery!

We Stayed at the novotel Wembley, we always call in here. Full English breakfast is a must.

Fresh as if in the Wimpy and as hot and delicious as the previous orders I have recently ordered and which were delivered by just eat. I tried another delivery company the first time I ordered and I was so disappointed that it, almost, put me off ordering from Wimpy again. Luckily Just Eat haven’t let me down!

I was extremely wary about this order because I ordered Wimpy from Uber last week and although I wouldn’t blame the delivery driver as he was doing multiple deliveries via bicycle? In November? The order was delivered absolutely freezing cold and inedible? I really wanted Wimpy and I was very disappointed? The food at this place was Shockingly bad. The staff were pleasant enough but I'm not sure how this place is managing to operate selling the food it does. The burger was awful, the chicken strips even worse. The best thing I had from there was the can of Stella! Never in this world will I ever go here again.

Disappointed burger a little hard not sure if I would buy again

Possibly the worst burger joint I've experienced, I was excited to go yo wimpy as I have seen one in years ... This was bad level cafe food and bad service, ladies serving were nice but an older Asian guy was just rude , accused someone of breaking an air conditioner when they had asked staff to turn it on. Then he told him he made the place hot by turning up the temperature when it's not possible to do so without the remote. We're OK with me , but the food just isn't worth it ... try the burger joint a few doors down ... Angus burger... much better quality food ... better service.. cheaper

The food was lukewarm on arrival. Apart from that I throughly enjoyed the meal and would definitely order the same meal again.

I've loved eating at Wimpy from childhood, always visit when I get a chance. It's a shame that there aren't more of them. Enjoyed my Wimpy double cheeseburger and fries.

Even when it's match day it's so peaceful, recomed the big breakfast, all you need for the day. Staff and food are excellent.

A real trip down memory lane, with high quality and service throughout. Not for those on a budget, but as a treat, it lived up to expectations.

Had some time to kill in Wembley Park and wes a bit peckish. Subway wasn't appealing to me and the golden arches was saying nothing. I noticed a Wimpy bar, so thought I'd give it a try. So glad I did. The English breakfast was great, and reasonably priced. I wanted the eggs scrambled instead of fried which they obliged. However, it was the service which really stood out for me. It felt like I was dining at the Mandarin Oriental in London. Sasi (the server) laid out the table with silver service precision. Was a really pleasant visit. I will be back, and will definitely be recommending.

Such good service and delicious food, went to the Wembley Tavern before here to get some food on a Friday night at 6pm and the guy behind the bar just said no.. no food! So I popped next door and it was amazing

Now you ration the burger sauce there is no reason to ever come back again

The best Bacon & Egg muffins and hash browns you’ll ever eat. Top ingredients aways cooked to perfection, always serves piping hot.

Delicious! I have been coming here for fish and chips since a kid, and suffice to say, it always lives up to its good review. It is well famous around the town and possibly the best for miles around.

The service is always fast and friendly.. The waitress is a native of France..so l go practice my rusty french with her.. I do love the wimpy breakfast it's a classic! On the plus side they also serve wines!..❤️

Iv not had a wipmy for so many years as theres not many around anymore. It was delicious just how i remembered It. I got the quarter pounder cheese with a chocolate milkshake 😍 definitely recommend

We went for a quick meal before seeing an evening show at the Troubadour Theatre just around the corner. The spicy bean-burger was great and exactly as I remember it as a Wimpy favourite of mine for many years. My wife’s fish and chips and peas was obviously all freshly cooked and just what she’d fancied. But a special mention must go to the sweet potato fries - crisp and cooked to perfection and definitely the best we’ve had in a long while! The service was fast and all the staff were helpful and full of smiles. We will return again soon!

Love the English (Wimpy) breakfast. It has now become a good Sunday ritual for the family. One of the best breakfast places in the neighbourhood.

This Wimpy has a classic design. It's bright and spacious. It's clean and organized. We were made to feel welcome by the very pleasant waitress. We ordered fried breakfasts with tea, then chocolate brownie with ice cream. All of which was brought to us, with a friendly and polite manner. The food was cooked well with generous portions. We enjoyed ourselves so much. Recommended.

Simply the best breakfast egg, bacon muffins you can get, delicious! And now you can get them from 9AM!!! Happy Days!!

I am not a picky person, but this place… Walking in, there was absolutely NO ONE in this restaurant and immediately red flags are going off in my head. There were more staff than people in this place. I ordered a cheese burger, onion rings, and a vanilla milkshake and I sat and waited for the food to arrive. The decor in this place made me feel like it was a fast food joint designed by my grandma, it isn’t bad, but it’s just geriatric vibes, like this place is just a relic of the past (which it is). It also just smelled like an old persons home, which again isn’t bad, but just odd? You usually go to a restaurant to get food that’s better than what you could make at home, but upon first bite I knew I needlessly wasted my money. I felt defeated. First the onion rings, they were mushy and gross, they tasted like the same frozen onion rings I bought at Tesco. The burger was so nasty, patty definitely frozen, bun was dry and awful, but the veggies were fresh. The milkshake was the only thing that was decent but it was so artificial and nauseatingly sweet, I couldn’t even finish it. Overall please save your money and spend it somewhere that’s actually worth your cash. I wanted to love this place so bad but it’s just not good food. The only reason I’m not giving it one star is because the staff weren’t rude and the milkshake was mediocre.

It's so good to have a Wimpy! The service and food was great! Prices more expensive but that's to be expected. The toilets are horrible with a flood on the floor and a tap that I couldn't turn off but it wouldn't put me off visiting again.

Love a Wimpy, this restaurant looked like the ones I went to as a kid which was cool, and the food was exactly as expected.

Why, oh, why are there not more Wimpy outlets? Proper burgers that look and taste like a proper burger should, unlike things served in other more famous fast food outlets, specifically starting with the letter M. Visited the Wembley Wimpy before a concert at the OVO Arena. The lady who took our order greeted us with a smile and double checked that our order was correct. When the food was brought to our extremely clean and tidy table, it looked fantastic. Chips cooked to perfection, and the double quaterpounder with cheese looked exactly like it did on the menu picture. Again, it was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. Thank you to the staff for a fantastic, reasonably priced meal in a clean and tidy establishment.

Wimpy Wembley. It’s our second time eating here. Located just a few Minutes walk from wembley park station. The food is nice and servings are good size. They serve our order quick and staff are good. If you plan to watch an event at Wembley you can visit Wimpy.

Only thing I can say is after waiting for 15 minutes for a takeaway that they hadn't even started, with no one else waiting ahead of us, we ran out of time and then had to demand a refund. Friendly woman counter, 2 guys at hotplate, let's be polite, not as friendly about the refund

I was charged £9.25 for burger, chips and Pepsi. The chips not cooked through and I complained receiving a £2 price reduction. Overcharged.

Decent enough place to eat. Very nice & friendly staff. Our meals were a fish sandwich, chicken strips & a burger. All very nice. In comparison to McD's, obviously you get food served on plates & proper cutlery, which is an bonus. However, the banana milkshake wasn't a patch on McD's version! It was made with something like nesquick in my opinion. Over all, nice enough for a quick pre-show meal.

The wimpy is such a great place that does great burgers and milkshakes. I was stuffed afterwards from my dinner i had there. Nice friendly staff and plenty of seats inside. Take away service available too. This wimpy can be very busy when there are events on at Wembley Stadium. Also prices have gone up but to me it was worth it.

Waste of money. Better off going McDonald's over the road.
