Had a lovely afternoon tea here. Very high quality of food, staff very helpful and friendly. Nice and clean.

Having been to the restaurant before for a full English breakfast, I was mindful to order an extra portion of baked beans because 8 beans in an egg cup just doesn't cut it for me. It also seems pretty tight to offer just one slice of bacon where most other establishments offer at least two.

You cannot fail to get good food and drinks here . The cafe itself is beautiful and then you can buy your plants afterwards!

Only have had coffee and cake. Reasonable selection of cake, coffee good. Unfortunately the serving system means that after paying you take your cake to your table and wait what seems like forever for your coffee to arrive, by the time coffee arrives you've eaten the cake, lol. Seating arrangement means you need to know your table number when ordering and the numbers aren't easily seen. A difficulty system if on your own.

An excellent restaurant and wonderful helpful polite staff. The food is extremely good. Some other variations on the victoria sandwich and coffee and walnut cake would be a bonus.

Wee bit disappointed today, found out after sitting down with a scone that the jam costs extra (after queuing) then served tea in cups that are visibly dirty, have been before and had an ok experience, to be honest the design of the till doesn’t account at all for business and peak hours, but quite disappointed unfortunately

Very expensive. Huge waits at one person till. Getting a refill coffee or tea huge waits in long queues. High ceiling so sounds loud. Lovely looking but not like the old place.

Lovely garden centre, plenty of parking, nice plants although not the cheapest. Cafe well organised, clean and quite large, surrounded by trees. Not what you expect from the road frontage, definitely try it!

Fantastic garden centre and cafe with a lovely sunny outdoor seating area. Dog friendly. Huge variety of cakes, afternoon tea and drinks. The garden centre has an excellent collection of high quality plants too.

We really like coming here, it is very popular though so you may have to wait for a table but it is definitely worth it. I haven't indulged myself, but the cakes always look fantastic!

Ordered 2x jacket potatoes with chickpea and spinach curry. Arrived in minutes, almost cold and tasted 'tangy' - on the turn. Took back and offered replacement: requested jacket potato and tuna and a Bombay potato scotch egg. Both were also awful. Jacket potato skin so tough - as if been sitting all day on a hot plate; tuna dry - supposed to be lemon and herb?! The veggie scotch egg was inedible - like it was burnt or bad oil used. When complained, no offer of refund. Did give 2 free coffees but no recompense on the most awful food ever. Would never return.

Go here a lot but very busy could do with more than one till as that's what causes the queues

Super garden centre and a lovely café. Lovely cuppa in traditional china teapot. Leaving does feel a bit like navigating IKEA, with the path to the exit meandering through most of the store.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere was spoiled by 3 barking dogs in the restaurant for almost an hour. But the food was fabulous and the service exceptional.

I swear the Millionaire Shortbread must have Cocaine in it or something as I just can't get enough of it! Nice staff, friendly service, even when very busy. Did I mention the Millionaire Shortbread? Om nom nom. Excuse me while I go and get another slice.

Good quick service for a late lunch , ended up eating desert as it looked and tasted great.

Loved the option for small cakes and coffee as we walked in, and the meals looked incredible. Lots of freshly baked goodies to choose from. Would just like to see a couple more gluten free options as so many people now struggle with that particular diet. However, would highly recommend; service very smooth and lots of staff to keep things running well.

Staff are generally fantastic, shoutout to the lady on the door we come in with Reggie (white terrier). They do a fantastic breakfast too (at a price!) And food generally nice if on pricey side , The only letdown is the cakes the two I had lemon loaf and Dorset apple have been very dry and overpriced, stick to the food and coffee and we recommend.

I actually visited the garden centre (not the cafe) where an awful lot of plants seem very neglected as far as watering is concerned, what is a shame.

Absolutely love this place. Very busy though. Service is wonderful, polite and professional. Fabulous menu and food is delicious. Fruit teas and cakes are gorgeous. Always enjoy our time here and walking around the gorgeous garden center. Highly recommend.

Great coffee. I opted for a cheese scone with cream cheese and chilli jam, perfect for a snack. There is plenty of space to sit and put the world to rights.

Amazing service and food and a really nice atmosphere. Get here early as it gets busy! Lots of parking and you can pop into the garden centre. The cakes can be taken home and are delicious. We all had full English breakfasts that were delicious.

Went in for one modest gardening item, ended up with about 10 things in my basket, including some sale things and 3 irresistible articles of clothing. Hey ho, that's the way it goes 😁. Enjoyed tea & cake in the very busy café too.

Not for the first time we visited Wilton Garden Centre nor the cafe/restaurant but this time it hit everything you expect from a well run eatery and garden centre. We entered the restaurant first and was greeted by a very pleasant lady who guided us politely and professionally to a table of our choice and with a series of well written menus that covered an expansive list of selections, we made our choice in a pleasant, clean, and tidy environment. Ordering was simple and made again to a most pleasant person who made it very clear what the process was for taking the order, payment and delivery to our table (remember your number before joining the queue). The serving staff brought and served our meal in an extremely professional manner and to be fair was one of the best lunches we have had even though it was at a higher price than others we have used it was value for money. Leaving was hard as all of it was really pleasant but garden products was the main reason for the visit and even though some of the areas were empty (time of year) there was plenty to view and purchase including wild bird food (which was on our list). This is one of the better centres to visit with a polite and knowledgeable staff that are only too pleased to help you and I cannot recommend it enough. Fantastic.

Great place we had breakfast. It was fresh and delicious. My friend had a vegan breakfast, which she loved.We arrived at 9.30. It started the get much busier at 10. Everywhere was clean and all the food looked delicious. Would definitely recommend.

I went to the garden centre specifically to meet my sisters in the café. Lovely selection of cakes and drinks. Plenty of seating, they even have tables for guests who bring dogs. Toilets are nice and clean.

Wow, what a difference from the old cafe. This one has ample room, so well organised, food and drinks came very quickly and staff very attentive and efficient. Well well worth a visit to see how running a busy cafe should be done.

A lovely place to eat. However busy there always seems to be a vacant sitting somewhere. Food is basic but good. There is an area for doggy people as you go in the main entrance.

Love going here for breakfast, and the plants are fabulous, the Christmas decorations are stunning this year.

This is a really popular eating establishment if our experience was anything to go by. There were plenty of people looking for something to eat and the staff were brilliant. They were clearly working at full stretch, yet remained cheerful and polite. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. In addition there is the garden center shop to browse as well. A very enjoyable experience.

Hadn't realised it had been completely redone. We had been years ago and had avoided it ever since, until someone mentioned it had improved. What an improvement! Lovely inside, great menu, and the cakes and pastries looked good. Had a lovely meal, and we'll definitely be back.

We came to the restaurant yesterday afternoon and decided to have a jacket potato with cheese and beans and as my mum said "you wouldn't feed that to a pig" and she never complains about anything.The jackets were disgusting black and burnt we couldn't even cut them.I sent mine back and the one they replaced it with was even worse.I would expect this from a greasy spoon but not a restaurant where usually standards are high.We won't return. My mum was treating us which made me even more angry as she can't afford to throw her money away on rubbish.!!!

Popped in for a drink and a cake after a walk with friends. It was very pleasant and relaxing for the first visit after the refurbishment. A place to visit soon not later.

Really friendly and helpful staff

Have visited the cafe a few times but mostly for coffee and cake but stopped for lunch for the first time today. Really disappointed with our visit compared to previous times. Prawns in my partners sandwich were rubbery. Our child's sandwich was tiny, not buttered and just a slice of partly dried cheese between 2 slices of dry bread. Egg mayo was tastless and not seasoned. Ordered a side of cheesy chips (which we had to ask for as we're forgotten) and they were just inedible. Soggy and raw on the inside. We tried to find a member of staff to complain to but they had all suddenly disappeared. Okay venue for coffee and cake but would not recommend the lunch menu and will not be returning.

They have a great selection of cakes and their fridge selction was outstanding .

Maze to get to and from anywhere..no ground staff but till staff eager to assist once located...meal was good value and excellent...very expensive items though

Very welcoming place & the service & food were Excellent...

Nice spacious restaurant, as a dog owner I was particularly impressed with the dog priority section near the entrance. The food was great, I had the philly cheesesteak and as someone who has lived in Philadelphia I can say it was the nearest I have had in the UK to the real thing. Having a lot of space inside and out means you don't feel crowded and the noise level was ok. The cakes were a particular feature and the mezze cake selection with coffee is a great option if you want to try a few different cakes.

We only had coffee but the food and cakes look yummy.

A great place to dine, chill, enjoy the weather and atmosphere. The Kipling Parlour catering staff are really supportive in accommodating gluten free diners and our family birthday was a really nice experience. I've given a five star review, reluctantly, as it places the Kipling Parlour on a high pedestal; I hope and trust that The Kipling Parlour will keep up the good work. Thank you, for a lovely experience.

I really feel for the staff here, they work there socks of constantly, when if a better system was put in place it would make their lives so much easier. I was in the queue for 30mins!! And was told there was an additional 40min wait for hot food. Thank goodness we were only hanging coffee and cake. There is only one til!! Which is ridiculous given the size of premises. All of the cakes and plates are along the queuing area however the trays are at the very end after the till, meaning you have to late plate Jenga for the 30mins I was queuing! One person doing hot drinks, which you couldn't even carry to the table the staff HAD to do it. It would really help if You had two pay points. The setup is not suited for the volume of customers. It's also extremely expensive, very disappointed with the cost of something as simple as a few marshmallows on a hot chocolate was an additional 50p.

When it first reopened I loved it here. However it’s gone down hill. They used to have a good selection of homemade free from cakes and more recently this has been limited to pre-packaged cakes. Today we went in for lunch and the queue / ordering system is always slow and frustrating but today was back to the enterance. My fish and chip was also inedible so I paid £13 for some chips, over cooked fish and under cooked peas. I will think twice before going back here now.

Visited my family in Salisbury in May 2023 Travelled from the USA. We ate here just four of us and afternoon tea. However it cost me £79 the salad was turning brown and my poor Mum had a big black hair in hers. We decided never to go back again very very disappointed after travelling to see family So far.

I took my friend for birthday coffee and cake. It was beautiful inside and the view of the river was lovely. There was a huge selection to choose from, and we opted for cheese scones, which were very nice. I'd definitely go back.

Give me back the old café! Soulless building, not sure what they are trying to achieve?, OK if you want tea and cake. Choice of meals limited. Hot day so decided on a salad, had to purchase two to make a meal, dressing was strange and repeated on me throughout the rest of the day. Would not recommend.
