Not as good as usual , fish didn’t seem fresh and very dry

My first order and was apprehensive how well it would all travel but everything arrived hot and the chips were amazing. 100% will order again. Delivery driver was friendly and polite too.

Always late and food not hot, when you ring they just say we busy !!!! Soggy fish because been in wrapper to long. Used to love this chip shop but last time I will be ordering from them.

Excellent fish and chips, the fish in particular was cooked perfectly. Was nice to see that standards didn't slip during the annual fair week. Polite and pleasant service with a smile, the prices seem pretty good too.

Definitely the worst chips I’ve ever had. I had to wait for them to cook and they had obviously been cooked in old oil as very dark, extremely chewy and the majority were inedible and went in the bin. Absolute waste of money and won’t be going back.

We bought our tea of chips pie fish cakes and sausage the chips were uneatable the pie was cold fish cakes and sausage were just eatable we will not be ordering again.

I was very disappointed with my trip here. The fish looked big enough (until I got it home and discovered it was wafer thin),the chips were frozen chips i expect proper potato chips from a shop. I have frozen chips at home. Sorry never again

Very disappointing, wrong order received first contacted shop and correct burger sent by which time chips stone cold, mozzarella sticks hard and cheese all coming out so stuck to the paper, whole order was awful. Food hub contacted shop who woul not allow a refund! Poor service

I really enjoy the fish the batter is crispy and light and you don't have the grease which sometimes you find on most batter also the chips are very tasty.

Ordered our food online at 4.15pm. Didn’t arrive until 5.40pm. Was cold, mushy peas tasted like water and the chips were all the scraps

We buy all the time and the food is lovely but tonight I ordered a delivery and the chips were cold and stale plus one of the pies was undercooked and cold inside. Very disappointed as the food is usually lovely when we buy in the shop.

Just the right portion size no waste.

Rubbish service. The order got marked as out for delivery and then delivered. After trying to call the restaurant a number of times they admitted that it hadn’t yet left. I won’t be ordering from them again

Food was nice, but considering it is 5 mins drive to Rothwell, and it took a total of 1 hour from the order time (10mins late of the latest time), it should have been much quicker.

First time ordering and seriously impressed by quality and speed of delivery especially on a Friday night. Will definitely be back!

Delivery driver is super friendly as well as professional. Food arrived hot. The cod was delicious, the chips were golden and not greasy at all. The homemade tartare sauce is amazing. Would highly recommend this chip shop

Amazing quality food, driver who brought the food was really nice and would recommend Williams chippy to anyone.

Chips were good. Cod okay but very very cold, think it had been sat drying out since lunchtime. But the sausage was truly fowl, very synthetic tasting and terribly dry. Had to bin it after 1 mouthful.

I ordered for collection go to collect and they call when I'm nearly home, 'come back we forget to pack your fish' go back to collect. Get home discover they have missed sausage and pie off aswell, go back down to finally get my order after 3 journeys, no sorry! Nothing. Cold food. Won't be coming back.

Food delivered steak pie and chips beans. Pie was frozen or very chilled, unsure why not cooked. Contacted Williams within a few minutes of delivery and he asked if wanted another, sounded busy .. as I'd waited 1/2hr already I declined. Was concerned as frozen/chilled pie resting on chips and worried if uncooked possible contamination chips. Threw everything away. £15 wasted. Shame aged looked fwd to that treat.

Always great service, and their curry sauce is lush not like that cheap powered stuff other pleases do. Highly recommend

Was nice Shame about the very tiny portions and High price £15.04 for 2 portions of cheesy chips, that looked like a kids portion and 2 pots of gravy might as well of only ordered 1 pot as there wasn't enough chips to use the other half. This was my first time ordering and sadly will be my last and I will also not recommend to family and friends all in all most expensive chips and cheese I've ever bought. 😞

I love this place but today i ordered 2 pies one being cold to the point i think it wasn't even warmed up (looked cooked then left out for hours )and the other is very undercooked so the dough is still mushy/soft x

Normally very nice food here but it took 90 mins from order being accepted for lukewarm soggy food to arrive. Took several attempts for the restaurant to pick up the phone. Told the standard "foods on its way", when it obviously wasn't. Delivery driver very proud that the food wasn't stone cold on arrival 30 mins after worst delivery time estimate given at time of order. Wouldn't be in a hurry to order from here again. Shame.

Always go here for their gluten free fish- always served with a smile too- batter is very tasty and crispy.

Would rate this the best chippy in Rothwell. Reasonable prices and the fish is nice and crispy!

The gents in here are friendly BUT everytime I go here I am waiting an awfully long time for my food, surely chips should always be ready at a chip shop? Last time I visited I was charged for my order (chips, sausage and curry sauce) and due to the fact they were making loads of orders at once forgot to put the sausage in despite taking the money!! The food is nice but the service lets it down I am afraid.

Always loved Williams, flawless food and service. But disappointed that they’d changed the milkshakes. Bit pricey for them considering they were made with syrup in oppose to blending a chocolate bar as usual. Far too thin and far too sweet. Won’t be ordering them again.

The cod was delicious! All delivered early and hot. Was really impressed. Be nice to see some puddings! Even if it’s just chocolate!

Meals say they come with chips and a drink but none of the meals came with chips and a drink.

Fish is beautifully cooked nice non greasy batter...BUT the so called chips was not nice at all they wasn't even chips more like left overs from lunchtime which was also hard they went in the bin happened a few times

By far the best fish & chips shop in the area! We usually order chips, which are always hot, fried in fresh oil (separate from the fish) and the portions are very generous! & The fish (both cod or haddock) is also always fresh and surrounded by the most crispy, delicious batter! (Not soggy like in other chippies) Round it off with their incredible home-made sauce tartare and you’re in for a treat you won’t forget! Besides that, their service is absolutely great! Super friendly, easy to talk to and reliable to give you a phone call, if you wish, to let you know when exactly your food will be ready for takeaway, yo ensure the highest quality! Everyone of our friends, who went there based on our recommendation, was so happy, they’re now driving all the way from Corby or Kettering town to enjoy what William’s has to offer! No photo as we simply cannot wait that long to start enjoying our food! We will be back soon!

Very disappointed. Food was 35 minutes later than the 1 hour 20 estimated time. After calling the restaurant twice being told it was on its way very abruptly by the person on the end of the phone we still waited 20 minutes. Then to top it all off the order was wrong. May only seem a small thing ordering popcorn chicken and receiving nuggets but it's not the point. Terrible service

Ordered food for delivery at 20.10 this was at 18.20. Rang at 20.20 to be told it was on its way, did not even ask who I was or where it was being delivered to... 20.45 my husband rings and its just around the corner, 5 minutes later food comes flat cold. So sent it back just waiting on refund...

Second order from here, was sceptical as though fish and chips would be soggy delivered. But I was wrong - delivered piping hot, fresh and crispy. Good food and service, will definitely order again.

Food came 30 minutes early, it was cold and the chips we awful. Ordered 2 large cod, received one large and one much smaller This was all so extremely disappointing

Being new to the area, this place was recommended. How very disappointing! Upon a late delivery, the driver moaned at my wife that he couldn't find us and we had no contact for guidance nor an apology for it running late? The food had arrived eventually, although stone cold! A complete waste of my money and certainly wouldn't be going here again. Maybe this establishment can redeem it's self with another customer. Who knows?

I've have had fish @ chip's @ other thing's from here always hot @ very good. Just try it for youself.

Huge portions of steaming hot, tasty chips and a battered sausage which was very tasty. Nice staff, very friendly. I would make a good detour to visit again.

Best fish and chips in the area

Just got large fish and chip and chick mushroom pie. Fish was terrible. Overcooked, too much batter snd for the price I paid, it was not a large fish but a mashed up small fish... very oily not good at all....not worth Over £10

Absolutely the worst chip shop food I have EVER eaten! Had a takeaway and the chips were barely cooked! Basically it was like eating potato chunks covered in oil! Normally you eat the chips and are left with crispy bits, the crispy bits were soggy horrible bits! Terrible and 3 meals went straight in the bin !

Text to confirm it’s on its way, great, waiting over 40mins with 3 hungry children for treat night for a journey that takes 5mins to my house wasn’t great. The food sweat and salad went yuck in the burger bun.

Not sure when a chip shop stopped doing a battered burger? Called up in stead if just eat told no we dont do it .. how ever go in .. in person it's done 🤷‍♀️ never mind money will go else where shame as I've always loved the food ect

Ordered our food and received somebody elses order was told to package it back up and when they collected it they would bring our correct order, driver collected wrong order but didn'tbring ours. Another 40-50 minutes went by and finally our food came barely luke warm
