Willetts Smokehouse BBQ in Harlow

Best burgers for 1000000 miles. If you’ve not been here before you must, honestly never had a burger like it anywhere in the world, taste amazing, literally can’t wait till I’m hungry tomorrow!!!

Just been to Willett’s, inside Quasar, OMG!! Totally stuffed, food was incredible, this hidden gem needs to be discovered by everyone! You dont have to be playing quasar or panic room, bar area is nice place but honestly it’s the best food in Harlow, and further afield. I had buttermilk chicken and topped sweet potato fries. Amazing. Give it a go and support this local eatery and the wonderful Louise Willett! Xx

Always been a fan of this place and was delighted when they made the final of best takeaway in 2019. HoweverI think that success has gone to their head. A few months back we recommended them to my daughter and son in law, who were very disappointed with their meal. Yesterday I signed up to their website to order direct, rather than use Just Eat because they do not charge a delivery fee. Placed a Pre-Order from work just after 6pm for 7.50 just after I would arrange to get home from work. It was delivered at 6.30. My other half told the driver it was too early. He said if that was the case it would be on here which it isn’t. My other half accepted the order. When I got home we inspected the food and to be fair most of it was OK, except the Onion Bites which were one soggy mess. I phoned them and explained the problem 3 times before he got it. He said you can,t have Pre Ordered because my system doesn’t show it. Now I am unable to prove this one way or the other because they never sent a order confirmation which Just Eat always do. However remaining polite I said look most of the food looks fine, except the Onion Bites which are a soggy mess. Will you replace them? His reply was well what do you expect if you leave them lying around for an hour and a half. After a 12 hr shift I could not be bothered to argue and said just forget it, but don’t expect another order from me. When we had our meal my other half discovered that her Ultimate Sandwich which should have had 3 meats in had only one, which she said was also dry and tasteless. My burger and the other sides we had were fine. Now I can forgive mistakes! What I can’t forgive is poor customer service which Is what I got this time. So sorry it’s Goodbye to Willett’s

I recently visited this restaurant, absolutely fantastic delicious food, I had the chicken burger with fries with chicken wings and a can of pop, the quality of the meal was outstanding, 10/10, I will be returning to this restaurant soon and will be making this a regular, for myself (and my friends)!

The food is incredible and recommend the onion bites. Found on just eat but we’ve 9/10 they show up but are closed, says they are open but they aren’t, you call them no one answers, tried to order on the website and says they are shut when they should be open? No idea why this is but it’s frustrating. Might be worth putting a note on the site if you’re open or not and when! Really puts a dampener on the whole experience.

Ordered a takeaway through just eat, was told delivery within the hour, it took almost 2 hours to arrive. The chicken wrap was mostly rice and hardly any chicken and chips were soggy

Ordered a big order. There was one item missing but I called up and they delivered it no issues at all. Food is gorgeous. I am now a regular.

These where some of the best pancakes I have ever had! Food and service was brilliant. I had a business meeting near by I had a recommendation from a friend. It not oftern I have to go there for work but I find more excuses just to go back there so I can try more 😍.

We love willets. The homemade beef burgers and the pulled meat are to die for. Really easy to use websites the only slight issue we have sometimes is a burger will come with sauce when we have specified without. But these are not my burgers and in my opinion all burgers need sauce. People who order burgers without sauce are probably not to be trusted with take away orders so take fro. That what you will.

Went to Willetts on my lunch break today on my own, the staff are so lovely and friendly and so was the food, it was my first time here so I had no idea what to get and decided for a cheese burger and chips... for £6 it was worth the money, burger was well seasoned and cooked perfectly and the chips were plentiful and tasted amazing.. I will definitely be getting my lunch there again soon!

We've eaten at both Willeyts premises and never had a bad experience. Food is freshly prepared and cooked to order. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We love our visits there

Visited here on the off chance for brunch with my wife. Its quite small, only approx. 6-7 tables, but we found a space. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I mentioned that I'm on a gluten free diet and the checked straight away what was not suitable. Service was quick and the portions big. We both enjoyed our food and it was great value. It was good to see a good local cafe busy at this time of day.

I oredered a take-a-way from here and it was disgusting. The pulled pork was smothered in sticky horrible bbq sauce that was greasy and just oozed off the bread. The fries were so greasy I couldn't eat them. Just don't bother

First time at the smokehouse. The burger was cooked well and a good portion of chips. The only downside was that I got a take away and it could have done with some napkins, salt etc as eating it in car was a bit of mess.

Very good value for money, and very tasty food, great service too, would highly recommend to anyone.

Well first of all credit of uncle bens for their rice, which was used in the bland and chewy oh and not to mentioned unflavoured wraps! Overall an awful experience and I will defiantly not be reordering!!!

I have visited on multiple occasions and have never once been disappointed. The customer service is amazing and is a true family run restaurant. The food is cooked fresh and using great quality ingredients. In some ways I think they under price themselves, however a positive for anyone who is visiting.The only downside I can see is that the seating area is upstairs and so there is not way for someone in a wheel chair to be able to eat in the restaurant, but unfortunately due to the premises I cannot see a fee-sable way that this could change. If you haven't been, I would highly recommend a visit.

Tried tonight and pleasantly surprised, had the chicken in Piri Piri sauce and it was wonderful, really moist chicken and great flavours. Will definitely use this place again. 10/10.

Willets has become our go to takeaway of choice. The food is always great and it’s a bit different from the usual takeaway options, the staff are always lovely. Try the burnt ends bubble!

I ordered from here on the back of rave reviews.I was expecting taste sensation however I wasn't overly impressed. I ate my meal, I was okay. I mean I ate it so it wasn't bad, but I guess I was expecting more... Perhaps it was overhyped to me...I would give it another chance though as it wasn't bad.

Just been here for the second time and I’m not sure how it was possible but it was even better than last time!!! I had the boss burger again and it’s genuinely the best burger I’ve ever eaten. My boyfriend tried the davinator and also had some chilli fries and is currently in a meat coma.... forever our favourite place for burgers!!

Title says it all, family meal with 3 young children. We all loved it, food is amazing and so reasonably priced. Cerainly recommend this place, book in advance as this place is going to get busy!

If you're into American style BBQ food, you'll really enjoy this. The best I've tasted this side of the Atlantic! The brisket and the pulled pork are excellent and the chilli fries are to die for.The only slight down is that the service was a little slow, but it was Friday night and they had a number of large orders on at the time.

We sat in to eat here, the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much for them! The burgers are fresh, tasty and much better than anything else similar in the area. Good value for the the variety and freshness it brings to Harlow. Well done Willets

Great range of freshly cooked meat dishes from a Cheeseburger and Wraps to Steak dinners.Such generous portions, I had a job to finish mine and all served with a smile.It's definitely worth a visit, or they will deliver.

Food is always good from here. The chilli dogs are fantastic and the staff are lovely. So lucky to have this in Harlow.

Never had a bad meal from here. Always buy the platter with sweet potato chips and have never been disappointed. Food is tender and flavour is rich and the smoke is lovely.

Took a long time to deliver. Fries didn't taste great and were overdone. The meat and burger tasted fine however the sauce didn't hide how bland the meat was.

So, I was brought to Willetts on a night shift not really knowing what to expect. The people working were run off their feet with a party upstairs but I was happy to wait and watch them prepare the meals from fresh.My Cheese Burger and fries cost £7, which considering the area was a bit steep but was very nice. My young nephew said he could eat the chicken all day. Great friendly helpful service, nothing too much trouble. The pulled pork burger is outstanding. It's our forth visit.

Have only had delivered but half the time they don't answer and delivery takes 2 hours. Food is good so perhaps a victim of their own success. Just wish they catered for veggies too but no. Worth it for the food but the rest is irritating and puts me off

I have never tasted anything like their BBQ sauce before. It is amazing and hand made says the lady in there. They are never right with this either which is great. You are not changed for sauce which I think is amazing.Massive juicy burger and chips lunch time meal £5 delicious!!Only note is do NOT get the Mac and cheese it tastes like warmed up value line baby food. But the burgers and chips and BBQ sauce is incredible

Family run business new to the area. Meat is cooked low and slow over wood and the taste is amazing. Louise and Mick the owners are very friendly and will cater to your needs. They serve foods like pulled Pork - Beef Brisket - BBQ Platter - Burgers etc. All meat is locally sourced. There is a sit down area which is located upstairs. You can also order and it will be delivered. There are healthy options too. Louise is looking at doing some organic products in the future.
