Very friendly serving excellent take away home made pies etc. So far as I can tell they mainly supply other caterers, farm shops etc around the island and are well respected. Grab a pie walk down to the beach and chill out watching the world go by whilst enjoying your pies.

Having eaten at Eastern Eye recently we decided to order a takeaway for our Friday night in. All the meals were absolutely delicious, the Samosas were beautifully crispy and, miraculously as we live a fair distance from the restaurant, the food was piping hot on arrival. Great menu to choose from and good prices too. We'll be ordering from The Eastern Eye frequently

Sadly the pasty I had was more Mexican than Cornish. I hope my second one will be an improvement! Doubt if in France if it would have the all-important 'artisan' badge of approval.

Cant say much about this place as the shop was sold out when we arrived.....I suppose that speaks for its self....

What a pie man. All sorts of different fillings to their pies with pastry to die for. We have used this pie shop since he first started business, every visit to Sandown includes a stop off at the pie shop to see the latest combination of mouth watering pies, soups and other goodies on offer.

Great place for a takeaway pie and/or sausage roll. All home made on the premises and the sausage rolls are the best I've tasted for many years. Also offers homemade soup for £1. Absolute bargain and fantastic quality.

My partner and I had visited the IOW for a week. On the first day we read all about Maurice Bentley's song he wrote lovingly regarding 'THE Pork Pie' (Isle of Wight County Press). What a lovely little story. Well it certainly inspired me to get a Pork Pie at some point during our trip and let me tell you, that Maurice was right on the money! That was quite possibly one of the best Pork Pies I think I have ever tasted! The amount of jelly was perfect, lovely crust/ pastry, delicious flavour! Only wish I bought more to take back home with us! And the new owners were lovely too : )Thank you Mr Bently!

Located just at the top of Pier Street we find it very convenient to get a great tasting pie and sit on the beach by the pier. They have various specials we had the breakfast pie on our last visit and it was very tasty

Classic pie shop, with pork pies, pasties, salmon pastries, steak pies, and all that sort of good stuff. Made on the premises - the kitchens are open to the shop so you can see them on the other side of the counter making it all. All very tasty, good value, and served with a smile.

We have been here many times over the years and looked forward to our visit again this year. What a disappointment. We had a cream tea which consisted of a pot of tea, 2 scones, butter, cream and jam. The jam and cream pots were half the size they used to be and the butter was barely there, adequate enough for one scone but certainly not two. The jug of milk supplied did not have enough milk for one cup of tea and we had to ask for extra. I do not drink tea and asked for my tea to be substituted with coffee, big mistake, it was undrinkable. Went we went to pay we were told 'cash only' and I was lucky to find some cash in the bottom of my bag. This should be made clear when you enter and before you order as a lot of people do not carry cash. Our experience was so different to every other visit we wondered if there were 'new owners' but overheard the owner telling other visitors that she had been there 17 years. Sadly will not be returning.

I can't comment on the Rooms because we didn't stay overnight, we just met other business partners for a Christmas Lunch.....This is where it failed to deliver! Christmas lunch on the 'Specials Board' was either a Baguette with pigs in blankets and a salad or Turkey and Cranbury sauce which should have been called Cranbury Sauce with a few bits of Turkey. I didn't fancy paying £14 for this so had a cheeseburger & chips. My wife went for the Cranbury Baguette specifically asked for No Crabury (it was full of Cranbury). My cheeseburger was dry (well overheated in the microwave no doubt) and my cheese arrived 10 minutes after I'd started (a slab melted onto a plate). I also asked that the Brioch bun was seadless as i cant eat anything with seeds, it was covered in seeds. A colleagues burger was equally as bad though hers was served with the cheese at the same time so a small bonus. Everyone waited ages for the food and everyone was equally unimpressed with the menu choices and the quality of the food. Because we waited so long for the food I couldn't be bothered to ask for a seed free bun and my wife didn't want to ask for a Cranbury free Turkey Baguette and we just wanted to eat and get out of there. This was pre booked but not by us and it wouldn't be a choice venue, certainly won't be in the future. I don't like being negative but this is an honest review. We were looking forward to a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, sadly this was the wrong place to go for a dinner.

This place is famous for its views across the Solent, but only in the summer. In the winter the windows are always steamed up giving you near to no visibility outside. We didn’t eat but the menu looks good and average prices for the area. Drinks were more expensive than the Seaview Hotel just around the corner. +£1 per drink on gin & tonic. It was November on a Friday evening and all tables were reserved. We did sit at one of their best tables for our drink ‘Captain Ted’s Table’ and it was wobbly as hell. Felt like it was going to give way at any time. Come on this is an easy fix.
