My niece arrived from Canada , and eight of the family met up for a meal together at Wike Ridge golf club restaurant, where we had met and eaten many times before with complete satisfaction. Unfortunately the catering had change hands since our last visit and not one of us was satisfied with the meal. It seemed funny that we were the only people in the restaurant. Then we found out , after we tried to order from the menu less than half the menu was available two of us had to order beefburgers, which are not available in the evening but only because of the diminished menu...Bread rolls were sent back because of green mould, Meat dish was sent back , it was very rare, sweet potatoes chips were luke warm...The golf club restaurant surroundings are very nice but the catering company in our experience is rubbish...Disgusted

After having a couple of bad experiences we were told that a new company was doing the catering at Wike Ridge Golf Club, so decided to give their Sunday lunch menu a go. Although service was pretty slow, the staff do seem to like to talk rather than serve, the food was good, however it could have been hotter. However good value for money, nice location, and if you want you can get your car washed while you dine.

We have been to Wike Ridge Inn at the Leeds Golf Centre in Leeds several times and the food is fantastic and very high quality. They do a special 3 course menu for a very reasonable price - the portions are very generous and I don't usually have any room for their delicious desserts. It is advisable to book at the weekends but sometimes the place is very quiet, which I find very hard to understand given the amazing food they serve. I think most people don't know there is a restaurant in the golf centre or that anyone can go in. Give it a try - you will be in for a very pleasant surprise. The owner and his son are also lovely to deal with and very accommodating. We took a party of 10 junior golfers who had played at another local golf club and all had an amazing meal. I actually live in Glasgow but my parents live in Leeds and I can't wait to go back for dinner again.

Feeling peckish my friend decided he wanted fish & chips, we were on the Headrow so l thought of Nash's even though l've never eaten there. The reason for that is the business & alley approach looks so unwelcoming. And it did again...7 large green general waste dustbins right outside, rubbish everywhere. Now l know this is not the fault of Nash's but it's plain off-putting, they could screen it off for a small outlay. Secondly l said to my pal "lt's shut", everything about it led me to thinking that, even with an "open" flyer on the door, l was amazed the door opened when l pushed it. Oh oh, totally empty, no food in the fryers, really strange. The woman behind the counter was great, she explained that it was cooked fresh & wouldn't take long. 2 fish & chips were ordered and tbh l was not expecting much. I was wrong, the fish was really good and the chips fine & plentiful, mushy peas ok if a bit watery. The only negative was the tomato sauce, it was terrible, orange & cheap. Whilst we were eating 2 other customers arrived, so 4 in probably 40 minutes there. There is something wrong here, the food was good, the woman friendly & efficient but it is devoid of any atmosphere or decent furnishings, to me it looks like totally wasted potential. I'd probably give it another try, maybe l caught it on an unusually quiet day, but still, please make an effort on the approach & frontage to make it more welcoming, l'm sure it'd make huge difference.

Staff Great Main course Rissoto was just a mussy mess lacked taste and Asparagus burnt Chicken was like rubber and broccoli so badly burnt was not edible . Dessert choclate fondant and ice cream good. We were told that a trainee was in the kitchen while the head chef was somewhere else . This was a gift from a special person so very disappointed. We were offered coffee but declined

so, normally we go to the Bridgewater arms for food (another flaming grill), however our nearest pub is actually this one so we thought we'd come here for food on Saturday evening. I looked at the menus and opening times and saw that the app stated the kitchen closed at 9 pm, so I booked a table for 8.30 on the understanding that I’d be able to get food thinking nothing of it and that we could have a night out with some food, and then to stay and drink until closing. We arrived in a cab around 20 past eight, giving us ten minutes advance for the table anyway and were sat at table two, where they normally have it reserved for the festive menus but were told we could eat there anyway. We then went ahead and were just about to push our orders through the app when someone ran over and told us not to put any food through as the kitchen was closed and had been since 8. This was extremely frustrating as if I’d have known this before, we would have probably gone to another green king pub where we could both eat and drink throughout the night. once finding this out, I then quickly rang ahead to first the GK in LS15 which said we'd make it to late for food then to Bridgewater, who also told us we wouldn't make it as they also shut at nine so not only could we not eat here, but we also missed out on a flaming grill, resulting in us last minute having to book to the harvester in Scholes LS15, resulting in yet another cab fair, which was significantly higher, but unfortunately the only option left to us at this point and also meaning green king missed out on our custom, because the information on food wasn't known before we'd arrived. I went to speak to a manager at the bar before we left, he told us there was nothing he could do even after I explained the situation so not only were we not able to order food from the kitchen that was advertised as open, but then had a manager tell me there was nothing that he could do and walking off. Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience
