Went on a Friday lunchtime. Very pleasant staff and a very big menu for a small establishment. Decently priced too. Chicken burger good, cheese baguette OK, huge plate of chips. We were there quite early so not sure if service might be affected later on as quite a few people arrived.

Went here with my partner, We really enjoyed the food and the beer was great. I am a vegetarian and I chose a nut roast which was really good and at a great price too. Staff were so friendly and had big smiles throughout. Would recommend to everyone who wants a fantastic lunch .

Went in for a drink, stayed for dinner. The choice of beers was good. Dinner was very nice, I had 2 starters and fries instead of a main and my husband had the burger. And all at a reasonable price. All the staff are very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back.

This place blew me away ! I had a steak which I ordered medium rare it was cooked to perfection. Followed by a crumble for dessert which was was nice and hot really enjoyable in the colder seasons. Had brilliant service the waitresses were really helpful and topped the experience not a bad word to say .

Very disappointed with the experience we had at wibblers, most of the food was over cooked and poor. The steak wasn’t cooked how we asked but the waiters did fix this for us however the waiters were extremely poor.

The staggered seating timings means that there is no waiting to order and main food comes quickly. Table clearing could be quicker.

Such a huge disappointment…..drove from Southend to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The food was a plate of over fried mush…. A vegan platter a huge bowl of olives, peanuts and toast ( not pitta bread) a few fried falafel (frozen) and humus. And so expensive… and so tasteless…shan’t be returning or recommending anyone else to go here ☹️☹️☹️

An absolute disappointment. We were looking forward to a celebration lunch for my birthday 🎂 and the food was abysmal. A vegan platter consisting mainly of olives, peanuts and convenience food which was fried to mush.. Potato bravas arrived as large boiled potatoes in a yomato sauce. The tapas didn't fare better with once again fried frozen food; a cheese.ploughmans had some cheese placed on dome salad leaves plus lots of crisps. Large portions but we would have preferred quality over quantity. The only saving grace was the Wibblers beer and the helpful service from the bartender and waitress £94 could have so easily meant a decent meal. Reduce the vast menu choices...ditch the frozen convenience food and cook from scratch!

Delicious beer brewed on site, along with a well stocked bar for those who don't like beer. Pleasantly surpised with the food menu, which is extensive & really good. Four of us tried different things for dinner & all were impressed.

First time here and very local to us. This is an actual brewery as well and you can take a tour. As a real ale Dan, this was the ideal place to enjoy a pint ( or three ). Six different ales to choose from and a few lagers ( plus a couple of ciders ) - all brewed here. Service was great and a pleasant and knowledgeable bar man served us and then showed us to out table ( we had booked which is advisable ). Great choice of food and very generous portions too. Very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Just returned from sunday lunch at Wibblers . Took my mother out to celebrate her 86th birthday. The roast dinner is fabulous. And plentiful (you will not leave hungry) had tiger prawns in garlic butter to start . I could have eaten a bucket load of them . They were delicious. Great choice of desserts too. And to top it off there is an excellent choice of real ales (other drinks available of course) . My second visit...it will not be my last . Already looking forward to returning

Our first visit after a recommendation and we decided to try the Sunday roast…..the meal was lovely! Very generous portions, very well presented and very tasty 😋 It was a little chilly to sit outside but the option is there for the warmer days. I would recommend making a reservation. The host was very friendly and the service was good.

Stopped here on our Sunday weekend train excursion. Restaurant was full, but they found us space (my 9yr old son & I). I had the gammon, egg & chips while my son had the chicken goujons off the children’s menu. Both meals were tasty, substantial and well presented. An unexpected highlight for me was a couple of pints of finely-crafted ale. The barman was very friendly and shared plenty of information about the brewery. Will definitely go back … though perhaps with a couple of my friends for a more in-depth exploration of their brewed products!

Popped to Wibblers for dinner tonight. The COVID-19 measures are fantastic and they now have a large, comfortable marquee which is great, even on these windy, wet and slightly chilly evenings. The waitress and barman are very friendly and attentive. Food, wow, absolutely gorgeous, and plenty of it. The beer is also very fresh and moorish, there’s a drink for everyone if you’re not a beer lover. I left very stuffed and extremely happy. I highly recommend a visit (or two).

We ate inside at Wibblers in August 2020.I know these are exceptional times and people have to be spread out meaning fewer tables can be used. But unused tables and chairs were just stacked at random places in the middle of the fairly basic dining room giving the impression of a second hand furniture warehouse. The food was ok, but there were 4 of us and 3 of the meals came together with the 4th one being served some minutes later and I don't ever like that. The menu said my meal (Mixed grill) came with "Chunky chips". It didn't, it came with a bowl of (almost cold) skinny fries. When the meals arrived I asked the waitress for another drink and was told I would have to leave my meal to get cold and go and queue at the bar. I don't know if this is anything to do with Covid or not, but its not good customer service. Needless to say I didn't go and they lost the sale of my 2nd drink. We were not offered desserts and didn't even know service had finished at 8pm until we saw 2 of the waitresses get into a car and leave. All in all it was a disappointment and I won't be going back.

I was really looking forward to going to Wibblers however found the steak and ale pie I chose could have been better if meat had been in smaller even chunks, cooked to be more tender, better seasoned, and would have preferred short crust pastry rather than slightly soggy puff pastry. I chose the cherry bakewell dessert-quite tasty but not a true bakewell topping more like a sponge topping lacking the usual texture and flavour of a bakewell, other s who had same dessert agreed.

Sunday lunchtime, not too busy but we still had to wait 55 mins for a plate of roast dinner and a macaroni cheese, this is not acceptable , we were informed of the wait after 40 mins saying the Mac cheese would be another 10 mins.My partner really enjoyed her roast pork and there was plenty on the plateMy Mac cheese what can I say, not my best choice, not my idea of the dish but except every cook has a twist on a classic but in my opinion this was a tornado away from a classic, will not order this again.Next time we will not be driving because I would like to sample more of the beers on offerThe service side of the establishment needs attention, the young guys tried hard but lacked customer focus skills In this day and age barmen collecting glasses and smoking is a definite no no even if outsideOverall we will be back to try again.

We regularly pop to Wibblers as the beer is worth the 40 min drive. popped in Saturday for a spot of lunch but they had steak on as a special so I tried it, it was good steak and reasonably priced, similarly the other half tried the garlic prawns (a favourite of ours in Lanzarote) and these were also really good. Oh and the beers as usual were extremely good and perfectly served.

took mum for pre Christmas dinner today, what can I say, the food was great and lots of it, obviously, being a brewery tap room, the beer was good. the staff were friendly and not pushy, a perfect place to take family and friends for a meal and a couple of beers.it now has a new extension with lower tables so good for the older less able (my mum). if you like beer and good food, much of it locally sourced, this is a place not to missed.

Staff haven't got a clue. Took ages to take order and still got it wrong. I had chicken and my brother had steak pie which he gave up on as pastry was like trying to eat a brick, chips pale as pale can be. Tea and coffee just about OK. Don't waste your money or time.

Looked inviting from the outside so decided to give this establishment a try. Spotless interior , big menu with many tempting options. Our coffee was spot on , just how we like it "proper coffee." Wifey had bacon, brie and cranberry panini which she said was delicious. Myself chicken , bacon and pesto sandwich with granary bread. Thick slices of gorgeous bread with a well packed filling , it was very satisfying. Very good service and highly recommend.

Visited The Queens Head last night with my fiancée to try their new carvery all you can eat roast dinner. The food was outstanding, when they say all you can eat they really mean it, and it includes meat unlike any other I’ve been too. The meat was cooked to perfection, the gammon was the best I’ve had and there was 4 meats to choose from. The chef was previously a butcher and knows how to cook and carve, it was so yummy. There was a good selection of potato’s, yorkies and veg, also all really yummy. The potatoes were crispy outside and fluffy inside and the gravy was a good thickness and also very tasty as it’s made from the meat juices. I was hesitant trying an all you can eat carvery, however this blew other roasts I have tried in Essex out the water. It was as good as an expensive roast that you would find in a bistro pub. My fiancée and I are making our way round local pubs trying their roast dinners and this flew straight to the top of our list! Also - the homemade icecream is outstanding and i’d urge that people try it. It’s really creamy and they have lots of options. Thank you for a lovely dinner!
