Small but beautifully formed. Eclectic playlist and friendly atmosphere for a chilled girls evening out. Good choice of drinks and delicious mocktail for the driver. Definitely be back.

Another firm favourite for us in BSE and no trip is complete for us without a visit here! We popped in for pre dinner cocktails which were really delicious, the owner is very proud of his Expresso Martini and rightly so too! Warm welcome, great range of drinks and a nice vibe, nothing at all to dislike.

We held our mum's surprise 60th birthday party at Whitings Bar and we couldn't fault it. Communication throughout was brilliant. The food on the night was delicious and very popular with all the guests, plus the service was exceptional. The venue itself is classy and so well thought out. We would highly recommend and will be returning for more nachos. Thanks so much to Mark for all your help.

We went whilst we were visiting with family friends after travelling from central Scotland and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The atmosphere was brilliant and food served was excellent. Definitely a lovely worthwhile place to visit and experience. We will be back on our next visit.

We have now re-visited Whitings Bar 5 or 6 times this year as the atmosphere is always amazing. Mark and the team are very attentive, the food is always excellent (loaded nachos and loaded fries we go for) and the cocktails and spirits are first class. Every time we start somewhere else in Bury St Edmunds trying to mix it up, very quickly we end up back at Whitings Bar as it’s the best place to be.

Not only does Whitings Bar serve a great array of beer, wine, cocktails and standard drinks. They produce fantastic nachos (veggie option is unrivalled), the vibe and welcoming atmosphere can’t be matched. Thursday night live music and great for date nights and/or with friends! Dog friendly too :)

We went to Whitings Bar for the first time whilst visiting friends. Such a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The food was very tasty and well presented and we enjoyed a few drinks in the lovely atmosphere of the bar. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

Perfect relaxed evening on a Thursday with music, cocktails, wine and great service. Recommend a visit if you are passing you won’t be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our visit to Whitings Bar. It’s has a really nice atmosphere, a great range of drinks and cocktails and the Nacho’s are incredible!

This family run bar has a great atmosphere. We are always made to feel very welcome as is your dog if you wish to take them. There is a vast selection of wines, fantastic cocktails (see pic) and many others too. Also do lovely food and nibbles, enjoy!

We love Whitings bar, the staff are friendly and attentive and the drink options are great. The food menu is small but really good.

We love our visits to Whitings Bar. The friendly relaxed atmosphere makes in the perfect place to unwind with a fantastic wine selection and some great cocktails. The food is also fantastic with a good choice. Some evenings they have live music and this also makes for a great atmosphere. Mark, Julie and the rest of the team always go out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic time at their lovely bar. Also be sure to look out for Albert the bar manager 😄 Whitings is our go to place when having an evening out in town.

Whitings bar has something for everyone. Great place for an evening bite with good wine and cocktails for afters! Perfect sharers for date night, the nachos are the one👌 If date night means bringing the pooch, well behaved dogs are welcome too! Lovely atmosphere with soft lighting, and just the right level of music so can actually hear yourself think and still chat. The new outdoor area is cosy for a bit of fresh air and has heaters to keep warm! It’s a defo must stop for bury st Edmunds! X
