Violent staff. Only been once and were immediately met with aggression and then physical violence. My friend reported the incident to police. I've since heard plenty of similar stories about the place. Go across the road instead.

Absolutely shocking . The only place in Swansea you will be served a £7 pint(at tea time to boot) . All in a time of austerity this is truly nauseating. 😔

Been coming to Whitez for years now. Its never been an issue to put the commentary on the football games, considering its a sports bar. Tonight, the self proclaimed new staff refused to switch off the most depressing playlist I've ever heard so me and 4 friends could watch the league Cup quarter final. Took my business elsewhere. There was about 7 people in the place, 4 of which were my little group. Pathetic policy. Don't be a sports bar if your gonna play trashy music and be funny with football fans who want to watch the game.

Bouncers to the terrace are on a power trip, deffo has anger issues, all staff need training in customer service also.

There were 10 of us waiting to go upstairs. We waited in the queue and saw multiple people cut in the queue. While we were waiting one of our friends wasn't feeling well so popped to get a glass of water while the rest of us waited in the queue. When our friend came back with the water he refused to let us up and said that she had to go to the back of the queue by herself when she was feeling unwell. We tried to explain the situation and he got aggressive at one point even physically pulling my friend out the line. I found him to be aggressive and sexist as he said nothing to the guys behind us who pushed in. Beware of the man in the picture. He obviously lets the power get to his head and I will be reporting this formally. Usually I empathize with bouncers as they do have a hard job but we spoke to the guys on the front door and even they agreed it was unacceptable to leave a girl who was not feeling well by herself. He was unnecessarily mean and got aggressive very easily!

A group of 10 of us were waiting in the queue to go upstairs. One of the girls was feeling unwell so left the queue briefly to go and get a glass of water from the bar. When she returned the bouncer told her she had to go to the back of the queue, we explained the situation and that we couldn’t not leave our friend on her own. He became very rude and aggressive, I’m not sure what kind of power trip he was on but he took no issue with the multiple people behind us who had skipped the queue. We asked to speak to the female manager who was also very rude, sarcastic and completely uninterested in what we had to say. This put a dampener on our night, there was no need for this behaviour, we were not causing any trouble and had not tried to cut the queue. Bouncer seems to have a chip on shoulder, good customer service does not exist at Whitez. I can safely say we will not be returning.

We didn't have food .. we visited the Garage to see Sound and Vision .. a David Bowie Tribute band .. what a fantastic night ..they were amazing

Honestly one of the worst bars in Swansea. Insanely overpriced drinks , each time you order the price would change! Horrible bouncers apart from the female bouncer. Avoid and go to other uplands bars that are worth it!

The bouncer/owner is a thug who seemingly compensates for his dissatisfaction with life by bullying and physically attacking ‘customers’ half his size. Not only would I not recommend going here, I’d advise against a trip to Swansea altogether out of principle. Also, what kind of a name is ‘Whitez’? What does the Z represent? Bizarre….

Late night bar which is conveniently located in uplands.

I was actually downstairs in the garage. Very busy for a music festival. Very well organised. Good dance floor space and stage. Very expensive drinks. Been to Swansea jazz club tonight to see Mo Pleasure ... absolutely awesome, such talented musicians. My first experience of live jazz.

Good place to play pool, tables are decent, cues aren’t great but that’s to be expected - I bet they take a hammering! Pool is reasonably priced, good selection of beers that taste good - very strong on the beer prices though

Went here for a game of pool which you can pay by the hour or per game, was a great atmosphere & well priced. Would deffinately go here again!

The bouncer clearly has some sort of complex as he, completely unprovoked, attacked a friend of mine from behind. His aggression had the potential to cause serious harm to a small guy that was just sat watching a game of pool causing no drama.

You want to stay out late, till the wee hours of the morning? Whitez is the place for you. Great atmosphere, positive vibes

Azz the bouncer needs to get the sack! He was absolutely unjust. He singled out a vulnerable younger female. Out of nowhere he manhandled Jennifer out of the premises for no reason by grabbing her by her waist uncalled for! He was physically and verbally abusive towards Jennifer, not happy! As a result Jennifer is experiencing flashbacks to the evening. We will be reporting Azz to the police!!

Good atmosphere, pool is really fun. Good drinks selection but somewhat pricey. Nice that it's open late when you are looking for somewhere to go in Uplands until 3AM.

Amazing experience Heyley and John are amazing people they helped look for my friends very expensive ring and found it! Amazing people couldn’t ask for anything more!!!!! Love every single person there!!! But especially Heyley and John. They were absolutely amazing and helped the whole time. Please give them a raise !!!!

the manager was extremely disrespectful to me and my friends. would not recommend to anybody!

My fiancé and I had to wait 45 minutes to get served at the bar, watching people come and go getting served before us, he repeatedly stated I'm next then the bar tender would choose to serve someone else, people we knew were getting served twice in the time we had still not been served and when asking to speak to a manager and asking why we weren't being served we were told its because we weren't making it obvious that we wanted to be served next? What a load of rubbish! She then stated maybe the bar man didn't see my fiancé.... who is 6 foot 2 and a 2nd row, sticks out in any crowed and he was wearing an England rugby top. We laughed and left, as they offered no apology, no complimentary drink or anything. Awful service and management, we are still waiting for a response as to why they would not serve a man in an England rugby top, who they admitted was not overly drunk/disorderly, but waiting patiently at the bar for a drink.

Brilliant place!! My band 'Chip Shop Gravy' and I played up in Terrace Bar and the staff were very respectful and polite. I would recommend this place for people to go on a night out to hear live music. Downstairs on the middle floor Whitez is like a sports bar with lots of pool tables which are great and good quality so that will make for a great night with friends as well.

Id like to say ive been inside but i cant even say that. The crowd control here is abysmal with people pushing in the que and idle bouncers. A gobby coke rat pushed in and said her dad owns the place, which i hope isnt true either. While i was queueing there were two fights, one outside and one indoors and the bouncers did very little. We were then told to go away, worst night ive had in swans and im no stranger to oxygen. Put some barriers up so you can control the crowds and pushing in.

Preddy good. Security and the staff were friendly and great. I'd heard it was scumzome in whites but was actually really quite nice

Went out this evening with a friend, as someone who doesn't drink the staff on the terrace bar went above and beyond to make my evening that much more amazing from checking up on us at our table to even making me a mocktail version of there pina colada. The environment was friendly and the staff made it that more amazing of a night out. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for service with a smile and a team that goes that up and beyond for you.

Have some good bands & DJ nights here. Little dated but drinks are reasonable. Not really for people who like to sit down as limited seating. I like a dance so it's great for that👍😀

Such an underated venue in swansea/uplands. 3 completely different venues in one, The garage: downstairs, live music, cheap drinks, lively people and atmosphere, very low key place. Whitez: middle floor, pool and snooker tables, newly refurbed, big bar, good drinks prices, big projector for sports, toilets, choose your own jukebox, just amazing very casual. Cocktail Bar: upstairs, separate bouncers and smart dress code, amazing fancy drinks, bit more expense, incredible themed finish decor etc, top quality covered smoking terrace, great atmosphere and toilets. This place has it all for the uplands

Any reason why the tables are placed so close to each other? You have to wait for the person playing on the other table to move before taking a shot. The tables are not even balanced. The whole place in general just stinks and so are the people in it. Probably great for skint little 18 year olds on uni loans but I will give it a miss in the future.

Music venue cocktails very expensive

I was actually at the new home for Swansea Jazzland on the ground floor. Good size room, proper stage, proper lighting and mixer desk for really good sound. The jazz was great, all the players having a good blow. Not too impressed with the beer selection - I am a real ale fan. For me, with severe mobility problems, I will have to be early next time I visit, to ensure a seat. The parking is just hit and miss, park where you see a place, the venue is on a VERY busy junction. A good move for the jazz club, I wish them every success. Not too sure about disabled access.

Brilliant venue. Leighton who is the owner is a star. He will give you a history lesson of what Whitez pool Hall has been before he took over. All staff are friendly. I go here to play pool every Wednesday and Friday , with a group of friends always a good reception, made to feel welcome. Juke box is brilliant. If you want to catch the latest sports. There is loads on the screens around you. What else can I say? Well try it. That's it. Thanks to all at Whitez x

The toilets smell like something that rhymes with 'this'. I'm pretty sure the vodka is diluted and the owner has the manners of a pig. Having screamed 'Get that bottle off the ******* table now' over a first time offence, is what lingers in my head most.

This is a three tier bar which attempts to separate clientelle via the subjective design of each floor. Floor 1, sometimes has live music playing. Floor 2, is a quiet pool bar and floor 3, is an attempt at an upmarket cocktail bar, which doesn't really compete with surrounding pubs, due to extortionate pricing. I have also in the past, questioned the authenticity of the spirits served here, due to out of the ordinary tastes after purchasing, possibly due to the tampering with products. Unfortunately, I have never experienced such disgusting behaviour from a landlord from within a bar. This person, clearly has no respect for his clientelle and believes himself to be above others. I will not return here, due to the profane gestures I was left with by the landlord during departure of this pub, which is real shame, as I have regularly visited this bar for the past 5 years. This was all down to another customer placing a drink on the pool table I had hired, which resulted in the owner screaming at myself, leaving me baffled, absolutely disgusting behaviour from a landlord!

You can find some great gigs down in the Garage and a great outdoor terrace upstairs. Decent drink selection in both bars.

be good, now drinks are incredibly overpriced almost £5 for Guinness, you can get them for €4 in Dublin! Music is too loud and you can barely hear the person next to you. The new bar being built takes up all the sitting space. Not a nice environment, used to be socially accessible but now feels it was designed to give you the worst drinking experience of your life.
