We visited this beautiful café during our family holiday to Langland bay this summer. We love the coffee, whilst the Bacon Sandwiches and Burgers are delicious and offer a hearty portion size, perfect for the family during an exhausting day on the beach! The ice creams and cakes are delicious, the kids loved them! The setting is absolutely perfect, whether you’re sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and taking in the breathtaking views or snuggled inside sheltering from the inevitable Welsh weather! Staff are super polite and helpful. Highly recommended, both as a drop in or as a destination on a long coastal walk.

Excellent position over looking the beach. The food we ordered was ok and the coffee was very good. The only issue with this place is the high pricing of some standard items (e.g. cheese toastie) being so expensive.

Basic food and expensive. Unfortunately if sitting outside there is a bad smell from the dog poo bin. The toilets are in a grim state and smell really bad inside. Rotherslade Bay is lovely though with good waves.

Surfside is our favorite hang out place. We go there most days for coffee and their delicious tea cake and egg buns. I always take friends when they visit from America!! The staff are beyond lovely and the owners are wonderful. Don’t miss this place!!

Have been to this Cafe many times, but would certainly think about going back. Restaurant prices, £6.90 for a cheese and tomato bagel! Would have expected a lettuce leaf and a tomato but that was it!

It is located in a place where one can sit and have a cup of coffee in a relaxing atmosphere. The coffee I had was refreshing and the service was good.

Very expensive but there isn't anything else close by.

This is a great place to stop and recharge your batteries on your coastal path walk. The outside tables have superb views of Rotherslade Bay

O my goodness, this place could be a cash haven if only the people working there would serve. The only thing they were interested in was being on they're phones. I only got served because I asked was anyone serving. The only lad serving was a blonde lad. Never again. Would not recommend stopping here. Might be here till dooms day.

Ridiculously expensive. Tourists taken advantage of. Side salad £4 for a bit of lettuce. Get a grip! The view is amazing which is nothing to do with the cafe. Cafe pretending to be a restaurant with restaurant prices.

Great place for drinks and food

They don’t take cash, Staff have no spatial awareness and have refused to top my large latte as it was only half full after getting my order wrong.

Popped in for breakfast as we were staying close by. The cafe is in an ideal spot by the beach however I think the prices are rather high (especially if you have a family). We ordered 2 bacon baps (£5 each) & coffee. Food & service was ok, can sit inside or outside, staff were ok.

Whilst visiting Langland Bay we decided to take coffee in this café, which is situated on the beach-top path just above, and on the west side, of the beach. Be wary of some of the photos posted here in this TA page, as they appear to have been taken at the Surfside Caswell Bay café. Inside is rather narrow and enclosed with not many windows, especially at the far end from the entrance. The pitched roof is opened-up which helps generate a feeling of spaciousness. There is not a lot of natural light though. Outside there is a raised patio area that projects out towards the beach providing tables and chairs for customers. The patio also extends around the back of the building where more tables and chairs are sited. Finally where the sloping access path to the restaurant joins the beach slipway there is a small gathering of tables and chairs for more customer accommodation. All of this extra outdoor seating substantially increases the capacity of the restaurant. The restaurant advertises its opening hours as: from 08:45, to after the last food orders at 16:30. All day breakfast is served, also toasted breads and buns, sandwiches, bagel melts, paninis, salads, toasties and burgers, plus hot and cold drinks, and ice cream from Marshfield Farm. Service was pleasant and prompt, and the food served appeared to be freshly prepared, and of good quality. We only enjoyed what was a good coffee. This café is well located for families enjoying a beach day, the pricing stated on the menu were not too expensive, but a snack meal here would cost a family of four at least £40. Ice creams for the kids would certainly increase that bill.

Stopped for lunch, gluten free options minimal and of course expensive. So I had the salad £10.50 some tuna mayo, red onions, lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes. Underneath the mayo there was cheese, thought it was odd, but worst still realised it was couscous. Obviously this is durum wheat & not gluten free! £10.50 was a lot and even more, now I have to spend a few hours hoping I didn't eat any! I commented to a member of staff who shrugged! Not exactly the most helpful thing to do! Won't be going back and can't recommend. Poisoning people is not cool! If I was allergic, it would have been a very different situation! Please train your staff!

Cant beat their bacon and egg baps and a soya latte overlooking a gorgeous beach! Love it! Oh and the staff are lovely too!

Ordered 2 lattes, bacon bap and teacake. Coffees were like warm and then had to wait over 30 minutes for food, which was literally incinerated and practically charcoal, definitely not edible. The worst thing was it was quite empty and the female teen workers spent more time chatting than working, ignoring customers. Wish I'd taken photos to show how poor it was

Went on the bank holiday after New Year. Sold out of food and drinks service was very slow. Sticky table. Shame.

Me and my friend went there I orderd 2 breakfast buns and coffees , the coffees came in good time but an hour had gone past and no food so I contacted staff and they had forgot about us although I just paid 22.00 for 2 rolls . So I told them and then it came , the 2 girls were not very polite . I would never go there again

A lovely place for a bacon roll and a coffee

Poor cappuccino. No coffee taste, no froth on top. For the price charged I expect proper cappuccino not a small cup of hot brown milk. Food items on the menu were overpriced.

Lovely lovely location great views. I had cheese and brie bagel (about the cheapest) and cup of coffee. Bagel was nice, coffee not so bad a bitter taste, as if it had been left to long on the filter plate. For £3 it really was a bitter taste. Tables and seating could have done with a wipe down from the sand that had blown in and it couldn't have happened the day I was there as it was rain and there was no wind. Very very over priced guess we are really paying for the view

Idyllic - best view in the mumbles and gorgeous coffee! Plenty of tables and some sheltered spots - could stay all day and dog friendly outside and in!

Picturesque spot for a coffee and cake stop. Seemed popular but plenty of free tables. Price was ok for location, I’d rather spend money locally than in a big chain.

I don't often write reviews but felt I had to as I was left shocked at the price of a flat white £3.60. I had ordered two and the price was £7.20, I thought they had made a mistake. Total rip off. I love coffee and regularly visit many cafes and never have I paid that much. If it was a great coffee I may be more forgiving but it really isn't.

A great little cafe with a stunning view, tasty coffee which was very clean and tidy with friendly staff. However, was blown away by the cost of a panini which was just shy of £10! The sandwich we did have was very tasty, with lovely fresh bread and a decent amount of filling. A couple of crisps and a salad garnish wouldn't have gone a miss though!! :)

Another ludicrously priced place that’s out to empty your pockets knowing you’re unlikely to return, but don’t care because some else with fall into the same trap. £6.00 for a bacon sandwich, apparently made with “bloomer” bread. Sounds posh right? Look at the photos. Two pieces of cheap sliced white bread and two small pieces of bacon. £3.00 max!! A piece of toast with two small pieces of butter for our son - £2.50 please! For one slice of bread!!!!! SEE PHOTOS!!

We paid £9 for a salmon salad with old , wet, wilted salad leaves , no dressing, mushy old tomatoes. And £9 each fior 3 toasted sandwiches with the same old salad leaves. The most expensive and appalling lunch we’ve had here. Avoid this cafe and bring your own lunch.

A lovely cozy cafe, with nice deco and a logburner. It is dog friendly which is great and has newspapers for customers. Staff are friendly and helpful. A great location with fabulous views. If I could I'd be here every day! 4 stars, as it is quite expensive.

We visited at lunch today, with another family. The view was lovely, which was a pleasant distraction as the queue was enormous. We paid £45 for two paninis, a toastie and a burger, with a drink each. Not a single member of our party finished even half of their plate. The paninis were underdone and the cheese, which appeared to be made entirely of plastic, was still unmelted even after we asked for them to be put in again. The burger apparently tasted of last week's grease. The salad on each plate was entirely lacking in imagination and looked like it was waiting to be put out of it's misery. The kitchen was well staffed, but entirely run by teenagers - possibly a clue why they managed to get something so simple, so very wrong. I'd have asked for my money back, but I couldn't face the queue again to do so. Very poor indeed - low quality ingredients, poorly executed, high prices with any pride in what was being served up long gone. Never again.

Located on the Rotherslade Road, Surfside Café sits right at the top of the Rotherslade Bay overlooking the magnificent picturesque Rotherslade Bay Beach! The terrace in front of the Café is part of the Clifftop Coastal Path. The terrace has benches and outdoor seating for the Café! Enjoy the Clifftop and sandy beach while holding a hot drink or having breakfast! From the terrace, you can go to the beach through very steep steps! Very surprisingly, they don't do any fish & chips at all! 😲 😔 😒! Toilets 🚻 ♿ 🚽 are available right next to the Café and open for public including the Customers at the Café!

I do like these cafes as the food is usually of a good quality. We had Bacon and egg bagels which were delicious. I've given a 4* because tables and the floor needed a clean but it was busy and only 2 staff. On a bank holiday!!

Been using the Surfside cafe for years ,this morning both my wife's toast and my bacon/egg Bun were burnt and bacon over cooked not the first time this has happened !!! Prices have gone up and seems service & quality have gone down ,won't be using them again for a while ...very sad as location is amazing !!!

Surfside have the monopoly on 3 of the best local beaches and as a result seem to get away with offering seriously poor quality food at inflated prices. The place is lazily run and relies too heavily on location over quality. It's such a shame because the cafes should and could be good!

This is a typical seaside cafe which is elevated above the beach. The food was well cooked and well priced.

Good little cafe on a small beach. Beach is sheltered, sandy, rock pools and joins up with Langdale when the tides out. Monster Ice Cream's were a bonus.

A great place to come and have a cosy cuppa with kids and dogs after a roam on Langland beach. We had soup of the day, toast, teas, coffees and ice-cream. Staff were really friendly and helpful, there a cracking view of the beach, so we supped and surf watched.

Nice range of cakes and coffee, and the toasties looked wonderful. Bit packed in there on this day, but it was no doubt due to the inclement weather. Dogs allowed too

I just love this cafe. Staff are young but very friendly and hard working. Menu is perfect- whether seeking shelter on a windy winter day after walking the dog on the beach or sitting out in the summer after a walk along the cliff path.

The cost is a joke. So expensive and the food wasn't worth half the price. It was over priced and under staffed and bad quality. Would rather buy a supermarket sarnie and would have felt more nutritious. Can't understand how they can still have customers after what we experienced. Since getting a breakfast and then a lunch (which came to around £40) we decided to buy our own gas bbq portable cooker which cost almost the same amount as our meals combined that day. We can now take our own food and enjoy delishous warm cooked food.

Staff was very friendly and it is a lovely place to spend some time relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. It is in front of the seaside and it is very quiet - not that many people in September. I had hot chocolate and loved it. I would definitely recommend the place.
