I think this pub/tavern is absolutely amazing. It's really big, spread across several buildings. You simply have to see it for yourself. The food and drinks were top-notch! The service was excellent; the guys and girls, sorry, of course, the older ladies too ;-), were in a good mood and always had an eye for the next order. Great live music. You can sing along or play along, whichever you like. For me, one of the best pubs in Belfast.

Went here the first day we were at Belfast recommended by our hotel hostess. The place is small with a very lively atmosphere, we had to wait for a while to get seats but it was well worth it. The food is AMAZING. It kind of ruined it for us because even though the food at other places was good, none came even close to this place :) My sister had the traditional Irish Stew that we tried elsewhere and none came close to it. The meat just melts in your mouth and it is an explosion of flavors. I had the braised beef cheek and it was DELICIOUS. The staff is super kind (like all the wonderful Irish people) even though they were super busy. It is a tavern but is family friendly. It was a great start for our trip. Just go, you won’t be disappointed.

I was in White's today. I've been there on many occasions for a pint of Guinness which won't disappoint you but today I was also there for food. My friend was treating me,so I didn't like to complain but it was extremely disappointing. I ordered the seafood chowder with Guinness wheaten bread. The small portion of fish was good but it was filled with potatoes which were half cooked and there was only a third of bowl of soup with some peas. The bread tasted like it was shop bought. I'm local and know what a good chowder and Guinness bread should consist of. This didn't in anyway hit the mark and was extremely overpriced. The service however was good but I won't be back for food.

Smell of toilets and lack of seating is a shame but nice pub. Also a glass of red wine cost me £8.25, in London it cost me £7.50 for the same measure of an average red wine. Prices are getting nuts, but probably not limited to this pub in fairness.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Whites Tavern today, accompanied by our two Miniature Schnauzers. We began with chicken wings to share. I had the Loin of Bacon served with Irish Cabbage, Creamy Potatoes, and Parsley Sauce. When I placed my order, our waiter remarked, 'Great choice, that's one of my favorites.' The food was served warm, hearty, and absolutely delicious. Our waiter was exceptionally attentive and friendly. We always choose Whites Tavern whenever we visit Belfast. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile, and it’s clear that this establishment is well-managed. We especially appreciate their warm welcome for well-behaved pets, as they always provide a dish of water. I would highly recommend Whites Tavern to anyone; the place is impeccably clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly.

The front part is a nice place to sit in. It is well located. They took away the character of the back bar, but in a way it is better as it is cleaner - so the compromise is decent. Service, like in all the places owned by the same company, is close to appalling. Not the staff's fault, the management either choose the wrong people, don't train them, or don't maintain a good standard - or all of the above. Can attract a rough crowd, but, all in all, not a bad pub. Just okay. Had the steak - well cooked, but was tough.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff! I had a delicious Guinness and enjoyed the live music. It was a great way to spend an evening with friends. I highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a good time in Belfast.

Disappointed they no longer sell pints of harp, now lost a customer despite good food and service.

Lovely place to go for a takeaway. I ordered a Fish and the girl told me because they were small and not there usual size, she gave me two. Bloody gorgeous fish it was, and a good portion of chips as extras.

I went here last Tuesday night at about 10.15. It was almost empty and had no atmosphere. I was served by a charmless barman who only spoke to tell me the cost. £9.50 for a Guinness and a tonic water! The Guinness was poured too quickly and slopped over the edge of the glass. I didn't bother to finish it, even at that price. We've been several times over the years and it was usually ok. It's changed. Perhaps too many tourists so no need to be welcoming or hospitable, just keep taking the money at extortionate prices. It is the last time.

Decent wee pub, good view for sports and nice outside area Unfortunately 90% of the staff are totally inept at the basics of their job. Braindead service.
