We visited on Saturday after passing by thinking it looked nice. We placed our order of three sandwiches, pot of tea for two and a cappuccino and took our seats upstairs. There was one other family in the seating area and it appeared very quiet. We waited for 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive, when they did the tea pot was small with no extra water the contents provided just two small China cups of tea, the cappuccino was just a white coffee with barely any frothy milk on top. After a further 15 minutes the food arrived, the chicken salad sandwich had lettuce and tomato in it - no additional items of salad (onion, cucumber might have been expected - no garnish on the plate either) My daughter and I had ordered a special festive sandwich on a ciabatta. The Turkey in the sandwich was like Turkey roll, there was sausage and something that resembled gravy however it was more like some gravy granules mixed into a paste and put straight on to the bread. Very salty, again for a festive sandwich we would’ve expected cranberry sauce etc. even if on the side or as an option. A member of staff apologised for the delay in bringing the drinks and sandwiches as ‘they were very busy’ (still only us in with lots of empty tables around us) we asked for some hot water to add to the tea, this didn’t arrive before we left We paid the bill and left we were asked if everything was ok my husband did say it was only ok, the staff seemed extremely inexperienced and young (although I do know age doesn’t mean inexperienced) This visit was extremely disappointing, for the Saturday before Christmas places should have been expecting a large amount of customers - clearly not the case here.

Lovely chocolatiers with a nice cafe upstairs. I don’t usually do hot chocolate but I had the Aztec, spicy chilli version. Absolutely delicious. Great service and well worth a visit.

I took my daughter for a bit of a treat and at £5 for a small hot chocolate I have to say I won't be rushing back. The hot chocolate was really nice but the cafe itself is tiny and not the most comfortable. The tables are crammed in and we were waiting a long time just for two drinks. Such a shame as I like to support local business but it's way over priced to make it a regular stop off.

This was the 4th time I’ve visited this super cute chocolate cafe in the fabulous Paragon Arcade. It’s a lovely place to meet with a friend or partner for a sweet treat. I’ve tasted a range of the sweet dishes and also the savoury toasties. All have been very enjoyable. The chocolate is to die for! I love the Alice in Wonderland themed decor too. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. You can always pick up some more chocolate to take away from the shop downstairs when you go out. My only plea would be to do some vegan chocolate please. My partner has now decided to become vegan and this will limit my visits with him as there is currently no vegan chocolate available.

What a beautiful hidden chocolate gem in the middle of Hull City centre! The menu not only caters for the savoury lovers but those with a sweet tooth too. I ordered a cheese and caramelised onion toastie with coleslaw and a chocolate vinaigrette dressing and it was so tasty. To top it off I had the fondue for two and chose 3 chunky cookies and turkish delight as the sides. It was perfect! You get a generous pot of chocolate over a candle to keep it warm. With an Alice in Wonderland tea party feel, the theme was spot on. The service from the lady serving us was friendly and welcoming and the gentleman at the till when we paid was really knowledgeable and polite. Overrall, it's a 5* from me and I will be back again soon. Things to note: There is no lift, there's a lovely cosy shop at the bottom and the cafe is up some steep stairs. Those with wheelchairs, buggys and mobility issues will struggle or not be able to get to the cafe. But if you can get upstairs I definitely recommend a visit!

We called in whilst shopping in Hull. Initially great service and the staff pushed two tables together to accommodate us. Asked for a cafetierre but we're told they didn't have any (they are on the menu.) No problem, ordered cups of coffee instead. My friend asked for a scone but they didn't have any so she chose something else. My other friend and I ordered banana and cinnamon cake. When the cake arrived mine was turning furry on the bottom. I wasn't too alarmed as it is a wet cake but I certainly didn't want to eat it. I advised the waitress and she took it away but didn't offer anything else. I asked for a toasted fruit bread, but, guess what?, they didn't have any. All in all, a rather disappointing visit. An opportunity for service recovery was ignored. Wouldn't go again.

I came with a couple of friends. I have visited the other branch in beverley but this was my friends first time. Wow. We had the chocolate dipping pot and also had an ultimate hot chocolate too. We had the choice of a few things to dip and we went for cookies, marshmallows and brownie. The cookies and brownies on their own was delicious but even more so smothered in the delicious milk chocolate! The ultimate hot chocolate is so decadent, it’s the best I have ever had. The only minor complaint was that they had ran out of marshmallows so we received two but as there were three of us, I felt we should have been offered something else in its place. A lovely treat.

I hadn’t been in the Paragon Arcade for a couple of years so when I saw that the White Rabbit Chocolatier had opened up there I decided to take my grand-daughter for a pre-school treat! It is a relatively new business to the attractive Paragon Arcade, having a sister shop in the nearby market town of Beverley. There are lots of other independent cafes and small shops/businesses in the arcade. It has been much improved and modernised (business-wise) since my last visit. There is some seating and tables in the arcade but the main cafe is upstairs (quite steep stairs so probably not accessible to anyone with mobility problems). It has been decorated and furnished in a contemporary style, is bright and airy with large picture windows onto an attractive roof garden. There is also a Juliet balcony with big open windows that overlook the arcade. We sat there as my granddaughter was fascinated watching everyone pass by below! The menu has sweet and chocolatey treats (chocolate fondues and ice creams/sundaes ) as you would expect but also normal toasties, sandwiches and light bites. We ordered our drinks first; an orange juice for the little one and an ultimate hot chocolate with chocolate spoon, giant chocolate button and extra marshmallows for me (well we were there for a treat so I may as well make the most of it)! We then ordered the chocolate dipping feast for 2. You get a pot of delicious melted chocolate fondue (over a tea light) and a choice of 2 dippers. My grand-daughter chose chocolate chip cookies (3) and giant marshmallows (3) so I decided to pay extra for strawberries (£2.80 for 6) so that we had something healthy. You could also choose from fudge squares, Turkish delight or white rabbit brownie. It was gorgeous, very rich and extremely filling! It certainly was a lovely treat but a bit too much for us so we took a cookie and a marshmallow home with us! I will definitely return, maybe for a grown up sandwich or snack next time. The toilet is next door to the cafe in the arcade and we had to let in as there is a number key pad on the door.

The choice of handmade chocolates look divine as well as their freshly made bakes each day. We went for 8 of the chocolates to have as our dessert with some strawberries. The lady who served was so nice and left us to choose at our leisure. Once we decided she placed them gently in a cellophane bag and we had exactly 100g which cost £7.95. We felt , with the price of cocoa beans to be a very decent price. We struggled to not try any before dinner but when we eventually had them they were definitely worth waiting for. Superb flavour, delicious crack of the chocolate on the shell and just a delicious treat. Can’t believe we haven’t been for a year but will definitely be back after their annual holiday . Favourite for me has to be the raspberry, the morello cherry and the tonka bean but I did enjoy the baileys but would prefer to save that for Christmas 🥰

Visited this pub as a group of away fans before Portsmouth played Hull. We like a proper quality pub, that’s friendly and serves great food and after contacting them before our visit, we were made to feel very welcome. This pub had all we wanted, so we recommend it to all and is also in a great area called the Old Town, where there are many other quality drinking establishments. We will be re visiting soon so we can have a lot more time in the Old Town area and this pub in particular. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I always order a cappuccino yet I rarely receive a cappuccino its usually a latte or a milk water, unfortunately it's a convenient place to stop for me. Service could be improved, whilst the staff are all lovely I often find food arrives a good 10 to 15 mins before coffee but I'd argue most people want to enjoy both food and drink together but the delays seem to be due to chatting to regular customers whom take precident over already ordered food and drink which is disappointing.
