Very nice and friendly staff. Food is cheap and good....apart of sausages, they have no taste. Also is no anything on side with hot drink...like biscuit, etc.

I used too work across Rd from this cafe yrs ago. They would take phone orders for buttys and deliver it. Too us. Been in today for a brecky. It was lovely . Warm plates so food stayed warm. Bacon had not a bit of fat on it at all. I really will be back Best brecky had for ages. Thanks guys. Great service and food

Hands down some of the best food I have ate in a while, I had jacket potato with salad and everything tasted so fresh, the staff here are so nice as well, il definitely be coming back

Ordered 2 x bacon and egg sandwich. Went large for 50p extra. Just got a bigger breadcake but was expecting more in it ! Perhaps that was it? Tasted fine and polite service though.

Absolutely shocking, the standard breakfast was remarkably overpriced and the bacon and black pudding sandwich contained 1 half of a slice of back bacon. Attitude of staff needs to be addressed and the over zealous way of clearing the tables whilst people are still sat at tables is rude. Whilst in the premise numerous complaints were heard from other customers. Won't visit again

so stopped by this cafe yesterday whilst getting some breadcakes from next door met as i walked in by pleasant staff and was seated my cup of tea arrived in seconds orderded a sausage and bacon bap was slightly disappointed with its contents 2 fine lovely sausages but only a mere sliver of bacon so at £4.40 expected slightly more that said it was very nice

Ordered bacon eggs and chips...There were two tiny rashers bacon 1 egg and a few chips,The cost of the meal £6.99 terrible value.

We were visiting Hull and popped in for a cuppa. I ordered a cheese jacket. It was huge with lots of cheese. Friendly staff too. Highly recommended.

Good, nice friendly staff place is clean, they do a very good latte i usually judge a cafe by their cheese and onion toasties, these were good and nicely presented. For what it is the Half Way is excellent.

Called in for the first time on Wednesday with my best friend Shaun after we'd been to Walton Street market. We had a warm welcome from the owner. We both opted for the medium breakfast's. The service was fast & all the staff were very friendly. We both agreed that the food was delicious & reasonably priced. I highly recommend you try this great café. 10 out 10. Thank you.! We will definitely be back again soon.

The first time today that I have been into the cafe, I came with my auntie before we went shopping. However, the breakfast didn’t look as appealing as I would like it although it was absolutely delicious and I will be back again. Great compliments to the chef! Fantastic

Ordered a mega breakfast with no mushroom or tomatoes, wasn't offered anything in return for the two items, so basically I got a medium breakfast for just short of £7 only thing mega is the price, wouldn't recommend

Went into this quant little cafe and was greeted like lost friends. The meal was excelletent, would recommend this to anyone who want a good meal together with very friendly staff.

Popped in for a breakfast one morning, the meal was excellent, the staff were very friendly. John the proprietor is doing a fantastic job. Keep it up John.

I have often visited the halfway cafe, it is a down to earth place, the food is always delicious and plenty of it, add that to the very competitive prices and you know you're onto a winner. The staff here are great, they continually go above a beyond to make sure that the customer is happy. Situated directly opposite the retail shopping Square and bang in the middle of busy Hessle Road you know you can eat and shop, shop and eat, just eat its up to you. There is not a private car parking facility here but in the retail park and on Hessle Road you will never have to go far to be parked up.

Always lovely food and friendly staff. The Spanish omelette with fresh herbs is a must.

My favourite cafe in Hull....the service is very friendly and fast, with a decent menu and prices. The breakfast was delicious, cooked perfectly with not a spot of grease and all fat cut off the meat, lovely everytime 😊

A nice little cafe along Hessle Road where as soon as you come in you're greeted by the friendly staff. Moderately priced for what you get. The staff are very sweet and the food quite nice. Was super quick once I ordered to getting my food. Really loved this cafe. Will definitely return

I love my little cafe when my best bud ady comes down we always pop there for a breakfast and a gab, it was full today so we went for a 20 min walk then went back as we think it's the best cafe on Hessle Road, the meals are always cooked right and staff extremely friendly ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me 😁.

We went here for the first time to try the breakfast, the people running the cafe were welcoming and friendly. The food came quickly and the portions were generous quality was ok not great the sausages weren’t the best. I was a bit peeved that I was charged for the coffee that they brought me before we ordered the meal that came with a coffee as part of the offer, that we didn’t have.
