Service was great! They were obviously busy but Leanne in the dining room called down to the bar when our table was ready. Very nice people! Barely any wait. Food was great and live music was going downstairs.

We arrived at the White Lion on a Saturday night looking for an English pub with live music. And...we were not disappointed! The artist with the guitar worked wonders, playing music from Queen to Bruce Spreengstin and getting the whole pub singing along (and some dancing, which was hilarious in the limited space of the bar). Great pints, great atmosphere, great fun. I have to come back! PS. They played live again on Sunday night. Der Künstler mit der Gitarre vollbrachte Wunder, spielte Musik von Queen bis Bruce Spreengstin und brachte den ganzen Pub zum Mitsingen (und einige zum Tanzen, was in dem begrenzten Raum der Bar urkomisch war). Tolle Biere, tolle Atmosphäre, toller Spaß. Ich musts unbedingt wiederkommen! PS. Am Sonntagabend spielten sie wieder live. I have gone three times. Always great except this last time (August 2024). I ordered the lamb pie but this last time it was different, come on it wasn't any pie.

Leanne was supper helpful , confident and provided extreme customer service . She went totally out of her way to help.

Nice pub, good outside seating area. Staff are friendly and the bar service was quick and efficient. Bit pricey but i guess it’s as central London as you can get. Spotlessly clean toilets which makes a nice change for London. A good meeting point due to its close proximity to Covent Garden and the underground.

Was heading for Lamb and Flag but saw they had Five Points XPA on Cask ( one of my favourites) so gave it a go and wow I’m super impressed. For a pub in such a busy tourist area it was so clean and welcoming great service and perfectly kept ale. Excellent pint and an awesome pub

We were in London for 2 days as part of our family trip to Canada. My son found the white lion online and we decided to try it out. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere was good, the service was great and we really enjoyed the food. If we had been staying in London longer, we would have gone back.

A man with long hair that was taking our order was very rude and did not let us finish our order and then ask for our ID when we were not ordering any alcohol.

Took my family here few weeks ago, and the service was impressive. The service from Jack was exceptional and will be visiting here again in the near future.

I love this place! The vibe is so good, such a comfortable place. Food was delicious and filling. The beef pie was perfect! Staff here are all amazing. Mickael and Harry were so quick and patient. Their new drinks menu had came out recently and they were very GOOD!!

Came for a drink with a friend a few weeks ago. We were unsure about what to drink so our bartender Jack directed us to a bottle of wine which was superb. Service was great and would definitely come again!

Perfect place! Went for lunch and had the Nachos and the Landlords Platter, just the right amount and delicious food. Leanne was our server and was super attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

A nice central London pub, with live music when we visited

Went here for dinner with friends. We both ordered the vegan burger. In the description it said the burgers come with chips unless otherwise stated. All burgers ranged from £17.50-£19.00. The burger was described with salad so expected salad on the burger and chips on the side unless the staff said they weren’t serving. The wording was unclear so when we did not receive fries for such an expensive burger order (a very disappointing burger) we questioned it. The staff was very rude and defensive. The main person was acting like we were kicking off, but we were just asking and confused. They said “obviously you can’t have fries with a vegan burger”, which was very confusing? Why not? Apparently they cross contaminate but this is not obvious and we are not in the kitchen to know this. Overall, bad food, overpriced, rude staff.

Fantastic puy & lentil pie, highly recommend this historic place to eat if you're visiting Covent Garden.

What a find! Amazing Landlords sharing platter. Best lunch we've had in such a long time. People need to know about this place. Ignore the other overpriced/overhyped establishments and visit the White Lion

I brought my family of six here for a late Friday dinner and had a great time. We each tried the meat pies (chicken + truffle, boar + chorizo, steak+ ale) and one of us had the sausage and mash. We all enjoyed the traditional meals and desserts (sticky toffee pudding and caramel biscuit torte). The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was everything we hoped for - a clean, traditional pub. Highly recommend!

Fish and chips is solid. Breading really nice and crispy, with perfect amount of salt. The chips themselves are okay. Sticky toffee pudding was decent -- extremely sweet. Great, friendly service.

Used the upstairs dining. My brisket pie was really good. The lamb shank pie was also very tasty. Along with 2 pints of Nicholson's and a large wine, made a very pleasant lunch. Quite pricey, but no more than where London is lately for food and drinks. I would visit again.

Excellent food and very friendly staff. Very cosy, clean place. We had a wonderful brunch. Craig is fantastic! Very warm and went above and beyond for us. Will definitely be back.

I had a sausage sandwich which was delicious! The latte was great. One of the workers was a little grumpy as we entered while they were still setting up but Craig made everything better. Craig was polite, friendly and very competent!

If you want delicious British food, you can get it there in a beautiful atmosphere in the middle of London.

This is a stunning venue, Refurbished 2 years ago by punch to a very high standard offering pool and darts with a large outside seating/dining area. Lydia was a perfect host although very early in the morning. This place has a great reputation for customer service it's lovely and clean throughout and had a very large carpark Make sure you enter your registration in to the tablet as the carpark is monitored by 3rd party company !! All in all a lovely place for food, drinks and socialising 😎

This is such a lovely and lively pub in the heart of Covent Garden. The food and drinks were all great and the service was impeccable! This spot is incredibly cute and classic, being right next to Covent Garden it's a convenient spot with amazing food. Our server was Leanne and she was incredibly sweet, very happy and bubbly who was able to get us seated straight away. For London the price was very fair, for two people it was around £40. They have specialty sodas which are full of flavour and we got a share platter of a few different things. The best thing was the hallumi fries, perfectly salty and tangy. All in all, if you're in Covent Garden and don't know where to go, give The White Lion a try.

Not great. The oil in fryer clearly needed changing left nasty taste. I complained about mould in tartar sauce. Was assured it wasn't but I am in catering and it most definitely was. Friend had smoked salmon starter toast was burnt (black)her main of seabass was cold and chewy The service shocking but still took service charge. On upside no charge for my main and the men said steak was OK.

Sunday lunch in a chaotic environment. Food was ok but service sucked. One of the waitresses left in the middle on service, since the 2 waitresses had some issues between them. The one who stayed tried her best. But we did not get the right orders, we had to wait for cuttlery, for the bill.. basicallt everything went wrong

Great location, Great pub, Great atmosphere, just watch your shoulder on the way back upstairs from the toilets ( should paint the concrete slab a different colour) . I will definitely be back ( with shoulder pads on 😂)

Lovely traditional bar in Covent Garden. Beer and wine selections are good. Great and quick service. The bar is very well located in Covent Garden.... As yet we've not eaten here but the menu looks good.

Located in the middle of Covent Garden, great pub with surprisingly delicious beer. The portions of fish and chips...hmmm and large - great location! By the way, every guest was asked about any intolerances!

Fairly knowledgeable salesperson and great at giving armocromatic advice. I personally wanted a green sweatshirt but thanks to his experience I bought a red one instead, I must say it actually fits me much better. My friend on the other hand got orange loafers very much in line with his skin tone. Very limited Selection of hats. In the end, however, I lost too much time with the advice and missed the train

The owner was very friendly, the food was of a good standard and reasonable prices for the privileged location.

Awful service. Went in for some pints and place was empty and we had to wait ages for the bartenders to look up from their phones at us. So unprofessional. Two tall guys with facial hair. Awful. Never again.

The late night dinner was amazing - highly recommend the fish n chips or the pies!
