Very luxurious place. Not a wide choice of dishes. Quality price

I call it my local even though I don’t live near there as it’s got that feel to it

Traditional pub both in the environment and in the dishes. You order at the cash register and then the dishes arrive at the table. Good food, generous quantities. In the photo fish end chips with a delicious mayonnaise, slightly undercooked peas. Super burgers! In Guissens they created a four-leaf clover on foam ☺️ it was St. Patrick's Day.

I have been visiting the Salisbury pub for around 40 years on trips to London. This last visit was my first since covid, and I was shocked at how it has deteriorated. The pub itself is in an appalling state of repair even dirty. The staff were nothing like the friendly faces of earlier visits abrupt and unhelpful, and worst of all, my wife and I witnessed a customer complain about a meal he had already started eating the waitress removed the meal placed it back behind the bars serving area and after a few minutes she checked to see no one was watching she removed something from the plate rearranged the food and covered the meal with clingfilm to no doubt be reserved to someone else later on. To be honest, The Salisbury is nothing like the pub it was we will never go there again and would not recommend anyone else to unless, of course, you like your food pre chewed. Appalling service appalling actions by the staff.

Great vibe and tasty food, worth a visit!

National heritage pub in full glorious homage to the essence of a British pub. This is perfect for tourists to taste incredible pub architecture & pub connoisseurs to feast their eyes & on a pint. This classic corner pub is tardisesque as it expands to a much larger saloon behind the cut glass doors & windows. Highly decoratively cut glazing is extensively beautiful, lining every wall, window & partition. Set into ornately carved wood pillars & frames. The exuberance of the ornate vintage beauty includes the variety of aged patterned papered ceiling in a lattice of coved beams sitting on cut & decorated pillars. There's a large central oval bar with an original ornately carved wood back bar & more decoratively cut glass behind beautiful large cut glass droplet lamps. A cornerpiece staircase separates the main saloon from a hidaway corner. The side step & balustrade Victorian detailing leads into a sweeping arch. Perimeter leather studded bench coves are classy, private & decorated with vintage statue lamps dropping glass flower lamps over the figurines. The bar is well provisioned with a draught selection, tunes are subtle, modern pop over a calm crowd of Westenders. This is a pub that decorates the Victorian essence of a pre-theatre or any evening wealth is for the senses in the beauty of design & artchitecture.

Excellent address with a typical English pub atmosphere. The fish and chips were very good, as were the chicken wings. Pleasant and efficient counter service despite the crowds there. The prices were very fair. Very good address

First time visit and wont be last, such a nice pub with a great vibe. Proper traditional old style decor and just cosy. Was really busy as theatre next door had a production we were attending, seemed alot of the crowd having drinks were too. Great selection of drinks and highly recommend.

Dark and subdued atmosphere, relatively classic English pub. A bit of a wait for 4 cups of tea, in bags that afternoon, to see another day. Correct prices. Very decent toilets. Moderately noisy room, 4-person discussion largely possible without turning up the volume. Unsolicited cooking, another time perhaps...

Great London boozer right next to the Noel Coward theatre. Dropped in on a Saturday night, and the place was rammed. Did mange to find a seat service was quick. It's worth stopping for a pint here.

This place is exactly what you want after walking all over London sight seeing. Super cozy and relaxed. The entire staff is accommodating. Fish and chips absolutely delicious- and the beers A++!

Nice pub, but terribly drafty and chilly

This is a quality central London boozer. On our visit (at Christmas) it was banged out. Very busy. Very lively. Very cozy. People filling every nook and cranny. Exactly how it should be.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious and plentiful. Very friendly and chilled atmosphere. Our child was welcomed and not treated as a nuisance, which is often the case.

Big shout out to Harley for reserving us a great table for six family members and great service . We had a lovely evening . Big thank you to Russell the area manager . He will know why .

Had a pint :) The pub itself is quite crowded, but you have to expect that in a pub.

A very good (and large) inexpensive fish and ships accompanied by fries and crunchy peas. Thanks to Richard who is making language efforts. You just need to turn up the heating a little in the restaurant when it's raining and cold outside...

Excellent pub! The food was excellent with several options, including for children. Good selection of beers and other drinks. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. I recommend it.

I went to the famous pub and tried a local IPA, it cost about 8 pounds. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was great.

We had to find our table ourselves. We were delayed in being informed that we had to order our own drinks and meals at the bar. When I wanted dessert, the kitchen was closed at 9:25 a.m. but no one informed us. The duck was good and the other people in the group enjoyed their meal

She gave us a shit, I ordered a beer, we had a table and suddenly, boom, they limit the tables and we had to move to the "waiting room"... loud, macarena is playing, totally not in the British atmosphere.... Cozy pub in Old English style Food good, staff could be a little friendlier, huge price increase. Well, they think, you're just a tourist and maybe you won't come back. You can ask for more than that. YOU forget that you are in the city for maybe 3-5 days and maybe you will come back if the guest is happy with everything.

We called in for a pint in order to admire the stunning interior and ended up staying for three drinks and a Sunday roast. Friendly efficient service, well kept real Ales, and a good range of food on offer. Excellent!

We went by with the intention of having dinner, while I was leafing through the paper I noticed something small coming towards my feet, it was a mouse, then I saw two others playing hide and seek under the tables, we immediately ran away, how disgusting.

Went in for a Sunday roast, waitress was nice, the place as well. I was not quite convinced by our order. The meat portion was quite small, compared to the huge piece of cabbage( which I didn’t like but that s personal taste ).

Nice decor, glasses and chilled water on the bar for self service. It's not cheap , I didn't expect it to be..

One of my favorite places in London. Lot’s of cool history at this place and it’s got great atmosphere. Just stopped in for a few drinks. So, I’m not able to rate the food.

-Price: 18.75 pounds/ (based on exchange rate at the time of travel) approximately 34,000 won -Taste: Not as tasty as a 3,000 won hamburger sold at a convenience store. The worst burger of my life. It looks decent, but it doesn't cut. It's not a knife problem (the bread feels like it was microwaved), but the bread is hard. Patty? There is no moisture or juice at all. It just looks like a rock. Because it was Christmas season, the inside of the store was beautifully decorated, but when I saw the bad reviews, I should have just gone outside. Believe and filter.

It's a nice place. I haven't tried the real English map, but I'll do it again. 5 stars per se, but the mouse in the Essen area took the last star 😏😶‍🌫️

Don't go! The worst service ever. There's a bartender Hurley or something like that, he mistreated me, he is chauvinist, we have to ask for the food after 50 minutes and he shouted at me !!!!! The woman waitress Hash I think it was her name, she was apologising but he is the worst person ever!!!! If you have an schedule don't go!!!!

The pub that inspired me to the song “London Days”….

Shockingly bad food and disinterested service. Ordered toasted cheese on sourdough. It was grim, it wasn’t cheese, it was a pathetic type of cheese sauce and the sourdough had clearly been fried, it was disgusting. I ate one half of one of the pieces and left the rest. The waitress cleared the table next to us and asked if everything was ok. She the returned to our table, took one look at my plate and didn’t say a word…… hence this post…….

Location davvero bella e suggestiva, abbiamo prenotato una “Table experience” per cenare quindi le aspettative erano piuttosto alte visto come te la “vendono”, ti ritrovi poi in una stanzetta con tavoli vicinissimi tra loro (e qui nulla di grave) , nessuno ti dice che devi ordinare tu al bancone (dopo un po’ ci arrivi da solo) , attese molto lunghe e qualità del cibo buona ma niente di eccezionale. Poco piacevoli gli spifferi di aria fredda che ti accompagnano per tutta la cena a causa della porta di un secondo ingresso che sta proprio accanto alla saletta e che ovviamente veniva aperta ogni 20 secondi. Forse conviene andarci solo per bere perché l’atmosfera merita. Peccato , basterebbe curare qualche dettaglio.

Even if the wait can be (very) long, the food is good, for a fair price. The setting and atmosphere are worth the wait!

Buena comida, el chicken Kiev, la cerveza Guinness y la sidra henry Wenstone, genial. Me sentí cómodo y como en casa, buen ambiente y música, la pasé genial con amigos y novia. Si se encuentran por esta parte de la ciudad un lugar muy recomendable.

Rated highly for the lively and historic atmosphere. Great location in Covent Garden with plenty of other bars and restaurants nearby. The staff here were very friendly and there was a good choice of beers and ales. Didn’t order food which was a good idea as I doubt be able to sit down.

Ero entrato la sera prima in questo storico e caratteristi pub londinese, c’era una bella atmosfera calda e natalizia, quindi mi sono ripromesso di tornarci e così è stato ho prenotato l’indomani per il pranzo. Atmosfera un po’ diversa, meno affollato, ci sediamo e aspettiamo una mezza oretta che qualcuno venga a prendere la comanda, ma poi ci informano che dobbiamo ordinare noi al banco e vabbè un po’ colpa nostra che non conoscevamo le regole del gioco, ma poi aspettiamo altro tempo per esser serviti e intanto noto che la saletta è fredda e non riscaldata, restiamo con i piumoni addosso. Finalmente arriva il cibo caldo, non tutti i piatti buoni, specie il petto di pollo . Forse conviene cenarci.

The beer and food were excellent (fish & chips and mac & cheese). And the place is very nice. However, we were close to a door nobody cared to close so it was not really comfortable. The most negative point is the toilets, really too dirty.

We went with all the desire to receive good service and it was quite the opposite. We were waiting for more than an hour for the food, then they had a mistake with our order and at no time did they give us any type of explanation (if they were going to take a while to serve us...). We feel very displaced by the service. The food good.

The fish looks like they forgot it on the fryer for half an hour the Chicken was so dry my girlfriend decided to put it in a plastic bag for the dog, terrible eating experience,, just have a drink

Very busy on a Thursday night in dec-24. Great location in the Covernt Garden theater area. Still, both service and food could and should be much better in the dedicated dinning room. Waitress forgot half our order, waiting was too long for comfort and food quality and presentation was lacking severe qulity

Greene King pub in heart of theatre land. Nice layout of several rooms with dining room at back. Glass and wood old-style feel. Very pleasant and efficient service. Not cheap, of course.

Book your table for a meal. This is a gorgeous pub with extra friendly staff. We booked ahead and had a wonderful meal without stress. We told the bartender that we were tired and wanted a pick me up. He made a kalua drink for us, which perked us ip perfectly. I love this place. I member when it used to have gas lights. It's still has all the charm and atmosphere you wish for

The pub was extremely busy but we found a table on the patio outside under the warmers! It was so lovely. We had some beers and some fish and chips. We took our parents here as it was their first time in London and they wanted to try fish and chips there. We've eaten at Salisbury Pub before and knew it was the place to take them for good food if we were only having one meal in the city. We were not wrong.

I booked a table for six people to eat and drink from 6:15 pm on that Saturday. I brought my two nieces and their boyfriends and then me and my partner and my dog table was reserved. It looked a bit small initially but we all squeezed in fine. Food was very nice. Service was lovely. Atmosphere was buzzing and when we asked to turn the music down a little bit because we couldn’t hear each other speak they turned it down so that was nice. Some life music on the other side of where we were sitting for, I think it was some anniversary celebration of the pub which was lovely too so I have no complaints .

Fantastic pub with such a lovely vibe at the weekend full of great people it’s a real melting pot. If you want to feel what a London pub is like this is the place to be. Shout out to the staff who kept smiling even when the bar was rammed. The door staff were also super friendly. This is the 2nd time iv visited and this Saturday the live music was a great added extra. Can’t wait to visit again soon.

Lovely pub, but the beef Sunday roast was disappointing, it was bordering on cold when it arrived, bland. I had to add lots of salt to make it taste palatable. Gravy did not have any taste at all & was watered down. The female toilets were disgusting, couldn't even use them ☹️

The pub manager accused my friend of doing cocaine (which he wasn't doing) and kicked us out of the pub 🤣 Very weird experience
