The place is great. Been there twice, once for business meeting and with the wife. The burger was great, the place was not too loud, beer is beer and the location is behind st. Paul's and the tube station. I think for meeting with friends you can enjoy the place.

A large venue with little atmosphere. Staff seem sullen, raising concerns about morale and job satisfaction. It can get very busy, making it very busy and noisy. The beer selection is adequate.

¡Encantador pub! Entramos y fuimos cálidamente recibidos por Taja, fácilmente una de las camareras más amables que he encontrado. Pedimos una bebida y una cena cada uno, simplemente simple, buena comida honesta. Tampoco tuvimos que esperar mucho, y fue muy bien presentado. Había más que suficiente, y era muy sabroso.

Modern Youngs pub just off Paternoster Square. We went there for an early dinner and to watch the England v Scotland rugby. All the staff were polite and friendly. Daria was particularly helpful in taking our order and explaining how our deposit could be taken off our bill. The four free pints of Guinness went down well during the rugby!

Best fish and chips I have ever had, sticky toffee pudding was also amazing. Great service Thank You

Lovely atmosphere and food. Came and had some food off the Sunday menu and it did not disappoint! Had the chicken roast which was juicy and well seasoned, absolutely delicious! Had some drinks after and tried the alcohol free amaretto sour based on the bartender’s recommendation, Makeda, and it was extremely good! Wait times were short, staff were professional and friendly, and the service was immaculate! will definitely be visiting again.

Today we had lunch here. The location is really nice, a mix of vintage and new. (Just, please, it was a bit cold inside) The food was really fresh, tasty and cooked very well. They have a fantastic wine list and 25 different beers. The prices are really ok.

Great service from Taja and the rest of the team. Delighted to find that the cyder battered Haddock was totally gluten free all cooked in a dedicated fryer. Staff double checked my dietary needs when ordering. The food was hot well presented and plenty of it. I will definitely revisit next time I’m in London

Before the Christmas holidays I came for a lovely Sunday roast! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was cozy especially with all the Christmas decorations. Daria was a gracious host and recommended a few dishes that did not disappoint!

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and great service. We enjoyed the Christmas menu with several side dishes. The portions are large and the food well done. Dalia was our server and she was perfect. The manager also stopped by many times. It’s the perfect place for upscale casual drinks and dining.

Pub was nice although the lady with a striped shirt who managed our group’s area was incredibly hostile to our party during our Christmas event on 19 December. We pre-ordered a number of drinks and food for our large party and while they were laying the drinks out after we arrived we checked if they were bringing white wine too (which we did not know) - we were told to “give us a chance to bring it out” in a highly aggressive and unfriendly voice. Nice Christmas welcome. After telling her she was very rude she did not show her face again the rest of the night, despite being our designated server.

Had a lovely lunch always go for my favourite Caesar salad. Gave 4 stars only as it contained a lot of the main stem. Dee was our server she was polite and helpful and always smiling.

Had a work Christmas meal there last night for 20 people. The service was amazing, don't think anyone had an empty glass for longer than a minute! Will definitely return.

Staff was very helpful ! Although we came over an hour early they accommodated and setup our tables quickly. They were always coming back checking if anyone needed drinks and they were serving us really fast despite the fact that we were a big group . Thank you Daria, Makeda, Dee, Tana and the rest of the team for a great night .

Have been visiting the Pat for a long time and the service has always been impeccable and their standards have never once disappointed! Special thanks to Ella and Dee for always being so welcoming. Daria always creates a lovely atmosphere. Highly, Recommend.

Manager Daria was fantastic and food was great. One of the better restaurants we were able to eat at in London with nice selection of English food.

Came today for Christmas lunch with my work team. Very well organised Christmas, each of us had a little name card with our preorder. Our main server was Dee, she was an absolute delight - just very helpful, attentive, down to earth. Can’t praise her enough! Loved the meal- can’t speak for everyone but my three courses were delicious. Lots of wine, lots of food, a very merry time. Thank you Dee and team!! :)

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We had the roast dinner and it was amazing, as was the service. They have a great selection of drinks and a must have cocktail list. Our waitress answered all questions and explained what we needed to know about the food and my cocktails as i do love a cocktail

Nihar looked after us so well even on a busy Saturday night. Great with the kids. Perfect after a busy day shopping in a lovely setting next to St Paul’s Cathedral.

The pub was easy to find and when we arrived, Daria was the perfect host. She was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their food and we agreed we would return.

The Paternoster Pub has great food and is fairly well priced for central London. It's always clean and has plenty of free tables. We've been a few times and would generally be inclined to recommend friends and family. This 3-star review would be higher if not for a recent experience that was unfortunately let down by one of the Managers. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day (it happens to the best of us) as this is the first time we've seen him, but his customer service skills was lacking - to the point that we witnessed clients who were having a fairly good time, leave shortly after a blunt - borderline rude - interaction. He also slagged off a group other customers to the other staff, loud enough to be heard across the restaurant, over the music. This is two of a few examples, but ultimately, not the energy anyone wants to be around. If you're lucky to go when the other lady manager is on - you're in for a good time!

I visited a pub near St. Paul’s today, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the manager provided outstanding service, checking in to make sure everything was perfect. I enjoyed a delicious steak sandwich, which was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with a cold beer from their impressive selection. This pub is also an excellent choice for Christmas bookings, with several private sections ideal for group gatherings. It would be a great spot for a cozy family Sunday lunch as well. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm and welcoming pub experience in the area!

Today i came with my girlfriend to this pub and this pub's environment and vibes are so catchy. All team members are so friendly , and special shoutout to nihar who gave us good suggestions on drinks and treat us like his family. If you are coming here look for nihar he is the best person i met ever in pubs like this.

Dee and Makeda were amazing. You couldn't ask for better staff. Happy, friendly, helpful, warming and very beautiful barmaids. It's so easy to see people who don't enjoy their work. But it's also double easy to recognise people who love their job. These guys are amazing. Bravo!

WOW!! Where do i start. I recently visited Paternoster and was blown away. The food was excellent—perfectly cooked fish and chips. But the real star of the night was Traveena, my server. She wasn’t just good; she was exceptional. Anticipating my every need, her knowledge of the menu was unmatched, and her timing flawless. Traveena made me feel like royalty, turning an ordinary pub night into an unforgettable experience. If you go, make sure you ask for her—trust me, you won’t regret it!

Paternoster is a gem! My family and I enjoyed its delicious Sunday lunch and brunch menu. My sister had the vegetarian full breakfast; and my brother-in-law, the traditional English full breakfast. My sister especially enjoyed the meat substitute sausage and the sides. Two other family members had roast chicken. The chicken was roasted to perfection, very plump and juicy. The bar provided us with a great variety of drinks, including sparkling wine, mocktails and cold draft beer. The service and atmosphere are equally enjoyable. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Our food was served fresh and cooked exactly per our orders. We close to sit in the to indoor dining area, which was nicely furnished and quite comfortable. We also really enjoyed the playlist!

Great atmosphere, and the sticky toffee pudding was everything I wanted it to be! I also had the chicken, bacon and leeks pie. Delicious food and excellent service!

The staff were great! Very attentive, Eleanor took great care of us. And that’s not even the food! Crispy fried Haddock, Scones, sticky toffee pudding and the chicken and leek pie in a warm, inviting atmosphere wa a great London experience.

Was told I couldn't have a pint glass for the cider I ordered, because the pint glass had a different drink brand on it, Also not the greatest selection of rum. Very spacious and good quick service.

Perfect space for an after drinks social. Makeda made our event run extremely smoothly and the attention to detail and help was 100% effort from her and the other members of staff.

Happened across this place after visiting St Paul’s Cathedral with my boyfriend. The atmosphere is that of a city pub if you go near end of working day, can be fairly empty earlier on. Is quite a large pub but I thought nicely appointed, especially noticed a well kept place on the walk downstairs to the gents. We had food and were very impressed. Even basic everyday dishes like the Chicken Escalope, which could be bland in many pubs, was very well seasoned here. Excellent meal.

Called in for a quick pint before doing a pub walking tour that started from just down the road..good selection of drinks, I had a favourite of mine in the St Austell “Proper Job”; a well kept and enjoyable pint served. All friend had good drinks, modern feel with good staff, will come again👌

Visiting from Canada. This is nicely located near to St Paul's, well configured as a place to eat and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The food is good and portions are substantial but well balanced in content. The service is great, and if you come across a server called Dee you've found a gem - helpful, gives straight advice and has a delightful sense of humour. I highly recommend the Paternoster for lunch.

Makeda was extremely warm and welcoming, we had a large group and she worked hard to fit us in on a busy night. After we had been let in seated and first served, she continued to work hard continuously to ensure we were met with the best service and that we never waited to be seen at the bar… anyway forget all the waffle, Makeda was bloody brilliant and made our night!

Came to this pub in St Paul’s and met the bar lady called Dee. She was so friendly and welcoming. Me and my son needed a place to sit down and eat and she made us feel so welcome. She was lovely and so accommodating and said absolutely no issues. I just want to say Dee your so lovely and we will 100% come back to this pub just because of you. Keep smiling.
