Dee was an awesome server. While I live in England, im American and we’re very big on hospitality. I felt right at home! She had great and honest recommendations. I would recommend the burger and an old fashioned. Great experience overall!

Makeda is really pleasant and attentive when serving. No ask seems to annoy her

Not usually one to review but the service I received at the premises was second to none. A special mention must be made for Dee who helped me with my food order and also saved me from embarrassment when a few drinks spilled on my table. Dee was there instantly cleaning up "our mess" with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Her energy and charisma made my day and will definitely be back whenever in the area.

We ate the Sunday roast: fabulous. Nice atmosphere of the place and the waitress was very professional and at the same time very friendly. We had a very good time

Went here for a business lunch and the fish and chips we had felt rather oily on the chips, but everything else was great. Was quiet when we went but definitely a popular pub around the St Paul’s area, better than some pubs and bars very close by

Can’t rate The Patternoster enough. Perfect vibe for after work drinks and especially on a Thursday. Everyone is so attentive and always cleaning empties from outside to give customers a pleasant drinking and dining experience. Daria always on alert with everything. Thanks guys!!!

Great pub, amazing atmosphere and a very nice selection of drinks. Right outside the cathedral, the view is beautiful. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend !

Everything was awesome. I really enjoyed it here. Such a high end pub with the typical pub dishes. I especially liked how they took it up a notch and provided exquisite details in the menu. We all had the fish and chips, which means unfortunately, only one dish was sampled. The fish and chips were excellent. Nicely cooked chips, crunchy battered fish. Nice sauces. I did not mind the curry sauce at all. The peas were alright. I don't know how come they were not very green The tartare sauce was yummy. We also had 2 pitchers of Pimm's. I'm willing to try more items on the menu, but might have the fish again... Would definitely go back .

The food was a little below average than what I was expecting. However the service I received from Dee was 20/10. She went above and beyond to ensure I had a good experience, her energy is top notch. That alone made up for the food and I left feeling extremely satisfied !!

5 stars is not enough to describe the BEST Sunday roast we ever had, extra gravy came in a a massive jug with elephant sized Yorkie! Honestly all food today was made out of this world, call it food coma or seven heaven! Team was very welcoming and genuine, especially Daria! We had to ask chef’s name, please pass on to Mike that he is the best Chef in the world and we will be coming back to try all his recipes. Thank you Paternoster for such amazing meal and great time!

It was early evening so not that busy. Nice looking pub, friendly atmosphere and your average prices. Nice pint of Aspalls cider. Toilets were clean. Great site very close to St Paul's cathedral

Visited on a July Sunday afternoon to have lunch. Was looked after by Regas and Makada and Rocky. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and wonderful food. Really impressed with the venue and will most certainly be returning soon. Had the Sunday roasts of chicken and beef - excellent.

Been here several times over the years. Fairly modern place, good location near the square and the cathedral.

Such a great bar. Easy to reserve a table and they have great service there too. Loved the selection of drinks and the atmosphere is buzzing but without being too overwhelming and busy. Didn't have food but everything looked and smelled delicious. 😋 We will definitely be returning! 😊

Quieter and more sophisticated than some other pubs in the area. Drinks are good, food is tasty and service is quick. AM Daria is very nice too. Overall a good place to visit.

Lovely meal 2 kids (6 and 1). Dee our server was exceptional, really helpful and wonderful with the kids and anticipating what they need and when. Food was good, Yorkshire was tasty!

Polite staff, speedy service, healthily battered haddock, fat nice chips. The curry sauce was nice surprise. More mushy peas next time please.

I organised a client event Jun 26th and our hostess ( Makeda) was excellent at all levels. I had forgotten to pre-order drinks and food and Makeda was very helpful taking the orders moments before guests arrived as well as providing really good suggestions about sharing platters. I had never been to the Paternoster before, but with this level of service I’ll surely be back !

Excellent fish and chips. Freshly battered and deep fried on the premises. Large portion of chips to accompany, plus a variety of condiments. More mushy peas next time please.

On this occasion, we only popped on for a light bite and drink before an event at St. Paul's. As in the past the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was good

Leaving drinks held - crazy busy but helped with own area and helped all evening with drinks. Great staff and worked well in this very busy location.

We held a work event here in April and would thoroughly recommend this venue. We had around 50 attendees and were given "The Snug" area which is at the back. This was absolutely perfect for us. We all absolutely loved the food platters, and we were looked after beautifully by Daria and her team. The chef and other staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, and when we wanted to order more platters and desserts on the night, they did everything they could to provide what we wanted at short notice. On the organisational side, I was assisted all the way through by Giulia, who helped me choose the most suitable function room for our event, and was instrumental in the planning of the event. We were all super happy with every aspect of the hospitality and venue as a whole, and will certainly be returning. A big thank you to all of you at The Paternoster.

Was looking for a place to book 13 people near St Paul's and this place was just fantastic. I think I booked less than 12 hours or so and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. The food was very delicious with a very good portion and it was quite cheap too, around £20-25/person. All of us enjoyed our time and our server Makeda made sure that all of our needs were attended to. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some British food!

Super delicious food and drinks! Great pub style atmosphere. The Olives appetizer was a fantastic addition to the table (comes with toothpicks for both green and kalamata varieties, sans pits). The Ceasar salad was one of the best I've had; complete with fresh bacon pieces(bigger than bits), perfectly hardboiled and halved egg, fresh crunchy romaine, croutons, and three anchovy fillets(which I removed). The Ceasar dressing was not at all fishy, just creamy and superb. The

Reges and all the staff create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Food is quite good, presentation needs improvement.

Great food and drink. A comfortable place to sit and chat in the day, busier in the evening. The only problem I had was trying to order a gin and tonic on the app. Tonic isn't in the list of suggested mixers. I decided to see if it was available separately in another category on the app and couldn't locate it. It was strange. Everything else I could order on the app but had to go to the bar for the gin and tonic.

The Paternoster has a very lovely atmosphere that only improves as the weeks goes on. An excellent selection of drinks from draft beers to cocktails (with my personal favourite being their Ameretto Sours!) The choices for food are just as good as the drinks! A nice selection of small plates with the buttermilk crispy chicken being a standout and a healthy offering of Main dishes, mainly focused on pub classics like Sausage and Mash, Fish and Chips, and featuring specials that change occasionally like various different pies, Steak sandwiches and Philly cheese sandwiches. The Staff are always attentive and professional, making sure everyone has the best experience possible! Perfect pub for some nice drinks, good food and a bit of atmosphere.

Lovely building and friendly staff. The Sunday roast was delicious, but some aspects were a bit cold and the gravy was a tad on the watery side. Otherwise, yum!

The food here never disappoints. Despite being in a real tourist hotspot by St Pauls its usually blissfully quiet. I'm loathe to give too glowing a review lest I make it too popular ;) Service is always good and one of the few bars I know that serves my favorite ales. H Hightly recommended.

We had a wonderful time in the Paternoster restaurant. Staff was super nice and helpful, especially Daria who really made sure our colleagues from the US had an amazing experience in this establishment. We will be back.

My husband and myself popped in today after a hosp app at Barts. We were hungry so opted to have lunch and we weren’t disappointed. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We both cleared our plates and felt full when leaving. Will definitely return.

Amazing Sunday roast at The Paternoster . We book a table at 1 pm and the place had a lovely atmosphere and Baselt welcomed us to our table . We had few drink and then we order a lovely Sunday roast dish . What can I say ? Absolutely delicious. Thanks to the GM Reges for the advice on the chicken lemon and thyme 💥 . Thanks also to Makeda, they care about costumer service 🙏🏻 unfortunately I can’t give more the 5 stars but the rate should be higher 🤩

Service was amazing. Food was exceptional, food left me with solace flowing through every vein of my body. Staff were beyond comprehension, especially Basel. He was the like the cherry on top. Basel made me feel at Home through his welcoming attitude. I would recommend this place for the people who want to feel compassion flowing through their body.
