Whenever we visit Lincoln, we always find time to eat at the White Horse. The food is excellent, and we are always impressed with the customer service. Ben knows how to treat people courteously and professionally, and he takes superb group photos too. He is a real asset to the business. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic evening from the minute we were warmly welcomed until the moment we left. Loved everything about this place really nice decor, fantastic cocktails , food was excellent, just a wonderful chilled evening, with the most friendliest staff. Great value for the quality on offer!

Have been eating here regularly since opening and can only say it gets better and better. The food delicious with a good selection, the wine excellent both in quality, choice and price. The staff go out of their way to check everything is ok. Always a good atmosphere even if it’s quieter. Big round tables available if you are a larger group. Highly recommend a visit.

We booked The Orangery at the White Horse in Lincoln for a private event, and it was spot on! The staff were all just brilliant and made sure everything went smoothly. The venue itself is just gorgeous, with a chilled, cosy vibe that was perfect for our gathering. The small plates were all delicious, and the chefs really came through for our vegan and gluten-free friends, which was a nice touch. Nothing was too much trouble. I’d definitely recommend The Orangery if you’re planning an event. Lovely venue, fantastic team, and tasty food!

Eaten here many times and it never disappoints! We've been in during the day at the weekend, and most recently for dinner on a Friday evening. I always have small plates - don't miss the tempura green beans, they're amazing! But friends who had larger single dishes also really enjoyed those. Excellent wine too - the orange wine is fantastic. Always great service, thanks White Horse for being brilliant :-)

Excellent food and service . We had lunch today and chose from both the small plates and big plates menus. Excellent value and tasty food. In particular, the small plates were very generous portions and excellent value. Some interesting new flavours too. One of our party took ill and the staff were really helpful and caring. They showed real concern and called for an ambulance etc. Will visit again.

The food here is so tasty. That's all you really know. But in case you want more... Bright, clean decor welcomes you. The service we received from Niamh with a smile was infectious and delightful. And the food as mentioned was so so good. The short rib Korean burger was as good a burger as you'll ever taste. And the Picanha Steak, which was a special, delicious. Portions were good but not excessive. All in all a great eating experience.

Outstanding menu with excellent service. Visited a few times now, always an interesting menu. Prefer the small plates to share and the Macedonian white wine is excellent.

We were hoping for a relaxing meal but we were constantly waiting for service or being interrupted at times when service wasn’t needed. We were given one drinks menu between us which is impossible when each person is looking for wine or cocktails. I asked for more which came about 10-15min later and by the time we had our drinks order taken I had given up on wine as the service was so slow so ordered a pint of beer. The drinks eventually came only 5 minutes before our food so we couldn’t just relax and enjoy our drink before our food. The house lost a lot of money considering we could only be served one drink each in the 2 hours we were there!

We visited the White Horse for dinner this past Tuesday and liked it so much we returned again on Thursday. Despite the name, it is not a pub, but a beautifully designed restaurant with a creative kitchen serving excellent food. We highly recommend the sea bream, and both the short rib burger and the picanha steak. Be sure to book ahead, as it is popular with both townies and tourists.

Never fails to impress, our favourite restaurant in Lincoln! The new addition of the truffle potato skins were great and the tempura green beans are always amazing. The cocktails are equally good, especially the Yuzu margarita. Great service and reasonably priced.

We visited this lovely pub for dinner on Wednesday. We are both vegetarian and really liked the dishes on offer. We had the small plates of Roasted Cauliflower & Red Pepper Hummus and the Tempura Green Beans to share as a starter. Then we both had the Bhaji Veggie Burger as a main. Thoroughly enjoyed the food (no room left for pudding!), staff very friendly and attentive and we would definitely recommend going here to anyone visiting Lincoln.

We had a lovely visit here, there were 4 of us and we were quickly seated on arrival and offered drinks. The food served was superb and I couldn’t fault this place just perfect. I had the Oklahoma burger and spiced fries And my partner had the prawns, all were well present and very tasty. We were served by nieve and she too was very friendly and profession and had a really nice buzz with the customers Thank you

Fantastic food drink and service. Four of us shared some small plates all looked and tasted great. Then 3 of us went for burgers and 1 had the pie - again plates cleared! No room for dessert. Our 4th visit for food and will def be returning.

What a transformation, an expensive refit (I assume). Very well done. Great ambiance, good friendly service. Lagers not run of the mill, but OK for me. Staff very friendly, helpful and explained the new set up well. I will be back to eat as it look superb.

Had an amazing birthday meal at The White Horse this weekend. We had a large table and the team were so accommodating. The food was amazing and everyone commented on how lovely the pub was. 10/10!

Acoustics dreadful, very noisy, unable to hear each other or wait staff. Food overpriced and very limited menu, cheeseboard £10 for 2 small cubes of cheese and spoonful of goats cheese. Drinks very highly priced and nothing special. Very disappointing will not visit again

We had extended family from across UK and Canada with us, and a variety of dietary requirements. We contacted staff in advance and everything was accommodated. we had a wonderful time together and the food was fantastic!

First visit since the complete renovation. The building looks superb, tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture. A really nice touch having a wood burner in the snug. Whilst the menu is fairly limited, the food was excellent. Was tempted by the Oklahoma burger which was really tasty and the spicy fries were amazing. Service was warm, friendly and very efficient. It was so nice to finally find a decent pub in Lincoln, serving excellent food with friendly, professional service. A special thanks to Evie and Dylis (please excuse the name spelling if incorrect). Both young ladies provided excellent service and are a real credit to the White Horse. In the words of Annie, “I’ll be back!”

First time visit for lunch , read the reviews and decided to give it a try, This is what Lincoln needs, a fantastic pub and restaurant ! Had 3 courses each and each course was fantastic, perfectly cooked and arrived hot. Menu is limited but possibly a good thing to concentrate on what they do well. Ate in the Orangery and although full it felt our table was private. A shout out to the female staff member whose name I didn’t get , extra friendly and super efficient, hope you coped with Mother’s Day today !! Will be back soon, loved it!

What first strikes you as you walk into the White Horse is the stunning bar area and the friendly greeting you get. The whole place was recently refurbished, and it has been beautifully done. The menu is the same as it was at the old Kine, and everything was delicious.

First visit today. I can honestly say that it was the best roast beef dinner we have had for a long time. The service was impeccable, just the right amount of attentiveness, there was a little delay but was kept informed. The desert was equally delicious. There was a great vibe about the place, lovely wine & drinks to choose from. One of the best experiences we’ve had for a long time, oh it was warm in the too… quite a rarity these days. Truly splendid.

The food in the White Horse is divine, with carefully thought through flavours. Blue cheese has never tasted so good! The staff are incredible and attentive. The atmosphere and decor superb. What an incredible place for Lincoln, I will be visiting again!

Visited with friends on a Friday night and had a lovely meal. The restaurant was busy but made the atmosphere. Had the cheeseburger which was nice, pink in the middle which is how I like them cooked. The rosemary chips were a little disappointing as they were hard and pinged off my plate when trying to stab with my fork. The best bit for me was the sticky toffee bread and butter pudding. I’m not sure where the bread and butter part comes in but that doesn’t matter because it was amazing!! I’m definitely going to be coming back just so I can have the dessert again!!

My family and I dined here on Saturday evening. We had a big table at the back and had a lovely time. Buzzing and fun atmosphere but also relaxed and casual. Great food, wine and service. Hope to visit again soon.

I chose this place based largely on its great reviews . I booked on line in advance & asked about options for one member of our group who was Vegon but got no reply. We arrived 10 minutes late & were greeted with , “ we were just about to call you” which felt a bit Otto& not very inviting …. It was exactly 10 minutes as we checked our watches when we sat down?! The menu has about 9 dishes for starters & main courses . 1 starter we chose was no longer available , had run out for our booking which was for 7 pm on a Tuesday night. Main course , chosen by two of us , the lamb dish had. also run out? The remaining 7 /8 options consisted of a chicken sandwich or burgers? The wait time for food was long. Space a bit cramped , decor looked nice like Fired Earth tiles & paints but it was a bit dark for reading menus & actually not that warm in the restaurant . Waiting staff chap, very nice but really not a great experience in stark contrast to the night before Tapas elsewhere for which I’ve rated a 5 star!

It’s a cool place. They try really hard to ensure you have a nice time, the service is very friendly. Food is really good as well, and the drinks are great Wine list very interesting with some unusual choices on there, at really fair mark ups (think they’re only marking the wine up by 2.2, something like that which is really fair) I had the tomahawk pork which was lovely, my girls had burgers and both loved theirs. All in all this is a really chilled out, relaxed place that makes you feel welcome and happy.

Dissapointed,we went there to celebrate my birthday. My wife had the Sunday lunch and i had the Beefburger pastrami, The wife enjoyed the roast but i was dissapointed with the Burger. The burger was nice but nothing special for tge price 18 pounds. The fries just seemed like they were straight out of a packet and presentation was not great. The staff who served us was brilliant. All though i was there for my birthday nothing was done to make it special. Weve tried the place but sadley will not be returning.

Incredible food and service. Could not have asked for better service from the staff and the food was every bit as good. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good meal at a reasonable price

Another triumph from Jason and the team! Exactly what Lincoln needed. Friendly, relaxed, professional service in beautiful surroundings. Food is lovely, wine is a plenty and all in all, can’t fault it . We have been several times now, together, with older kids and in laws and never fails to hit the mark.

So many of the pubs in central Lincoln are rowdy, noisy, crowded and impersonal. Not so with the White Horse. Full marks to the barman who offered me a taste of a new beer before I bought a pint...it was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Honestly, I don't think you'll do better here

First visit to the newly named White Horse in town and first impressions are really positive. We arrived mid-afternoon and quickly got a table in the new atrium at the side of the building. Right from the welcome to when we finished our food and paid, everything was really good. From the menu we chose four small plates to share, they were: Korean Fried Chicken, Truffle Crushed Potato, Beef & Blue Cheese Croquette and Miso Glazed Pork Belly, all really impressive. I have to say that my favourite was the Korean Fried Chicken which had a great kick to it without being over-powering. Great job folks and see you soon.

We have visited this venue a couple of times but will give it a miss in future. The lack of atmosphere we could live with but the unfriendly bar staff just made our last visit our final visit.

This place is a real gem in Lincoln; off the Main Street a little which helps to keep the atmosphere more sociable than some of the other high street establishments. My wife and I went out on a rare date and had a lovely time....

Turned up without a booking and was no problem with very helpful staff. The food, beer and wine were quite excellent. Wonderful tasting food with a twist. "Chicken sandwich", cheeseburger & Chermola sweet potato were quite excellent.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, fun and friendly staff. Very modern, fresh and clean ( posh toilets too lol). Tempora green beans are delicious, as was the chicken starter. Can definitely recommend.

Visiting from Stirling and decided to try the White Horse. Food was brilliant but tops for me were the young people serving us. Friendly, efficient and engaging. We visit Linciln every now and then, usually for gigs and will be back here again.
