I recently had the pleasure of dining at this pub, and I must say it was a delightful experience. One dish that particularly stood out was their hogweed salad. It was a unique and memorable culinary experience that left a lasting impression. The hogweed salad was an adventurous choice, and it did not disappoint. The blend of fresh, crisp greens with the hogweed created a perfect harmony of flavors. The dressing was a revelation – spicy and robust, it delivered a fiery kick that tantalized my taste buds and pleasantly burned my tongue in the best way possible. The heat was intense yet enjoyable, adding an exciting dimension to the dish. The ambiance of the pub was warm and welcoming, with a cozy atmosphere that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that all guests felt comfortable and well-cared for. Overall, the Pub provided an exceptional dining experience. The hogweed salad was a standout dish, perfect for those who enjoy a spicy culinary adventure. I highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for delicious food, great service, and a charming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning for more!

This is a fantastic pub! Out in the Suffolk countryside, this gem stands alone, surrounded by beauty. The food is fantastic, the staff are fab and the variety of drinks on offer is superb. The pub has a massive garden, a campsite, a micro brewery on-site, and attracts different food vans most weeks. Such a great location, I highly recommend a visit here. Order a pizza and a pint of Braybrooke Helles, and just enjoy the moment.

We camped on site and it was quiet with only a few pitches occupied, and ate/drank in the pub. The campsite is very handy and is great for a couple of nights although we wouldn't stay any longer as the amenities are a little limited. The pitches are level and a decent size, marked out with wooden stakes. It's very dog friendly with a short 15 min circular walk opposite the pub. The campsite facilities were fairly clean and tidy.

(Review of pub only) We were staying at a B&B minutes away and decided to stop here for dinner. So glad we did. Thoroughly unique pub highlighted by a immense selection of beers including several brewed onsite. (The staff were more than happy to recommend.) Food is house-made sourdough pizza - excellent and extremely reasonable prices. (On the night we were there a food truck seving burgers was also in residence.) The inside was heaving with people (and dogs) by 6 PM, even on a weekday, so be prepared to sit outside (plenty of outdoor seating) or just get there early.

First camp of 2024, warm and cosy in caravan and in the pub. Good value camping fee. Our second visit and will be back again soon. Highly recommend a winter visit here, lovely selection of hot drinks including mulled cider. Huge selection of ales, local real ales as well as those from Little Earth Project microbrewery. Food choice is enough to please most, food vans on weekends, homemade sourdough pizzas, local meat and cheese platters. Friendly staff who offer great service but also make time for people, makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere. Great for the dog, extensive walks nearby and dog friendly in both bars. Staff are very accommodating and informative about the 'untamed beers'. It's a real taste adventure. Regular music events and beer festival.

I visited the pub in September. I was disappointed. There was a large selection of beers but many were very expensive (over £11 a pint) and there was only one traditional UK dark beer on tap. Wetherspoons in Sudbury had a much bigger range of traditional real ales at less than £3 a pint. The food selection was very limited, the quality was disappointing, particularly the ice cream (£3.40 for 100 ml, and not nice at all). Some of the facilities were not as clean as could be expected. If looking for traditional UK real ales, and decent food, avoid this place.

We stayed at the White Horse Inn campsite over the bank holiday weekend and had a lovely time. We had a standard grass pitch no electric hookup as we have a panel van with a leisure battery although there were a few pitches that did offer electric if you need it. The campsite is basic but does offer a washing up station, showers and toilets, the site is a little tired but perfectly usable and has big pitches for you to set up. It is a little strange when paying as you pay per person not per pitch but it does make it very cheap if you are staying solo. The site is dog and child friendly and assigns you a pitch in check in, the pub itself is very nice inside and offers lots of outside seating as well as indoors. I was told that they brew their own beer but I cannot comment on this as I didn't use the pub. If you're looking for a simple site then this will tick your boxes, it has a beautiful woodland area that you can walk through and a long walk that takes you to a nearby village. I would return to this site again as we enjoyed our stay, my one gripe would be that we had a few children who's parents let run wild and it can be annoying if you're trying to read or relax. I do have children myself however if we do take them we try to make sure they don't disturb or disrupt others stay so might be worth asking when booking if they have any family bookings if you prefer a quieter stay

Love this pub, microbrewery, campsite in a rural setting not far from Sudbury. I've only camped when the site is quiet and the showers and toilet facilities were fine and at a reasonable price. The pub has a really chilled atmosphere and there is a fantastic selection of beers and ciders from the Little Earth Project microbrewery and guest breweries. I couldn't make up my mind so the best option was to get a flight of beers. Also a selection of alcoholic free beers, I love having the german radler if I'm driving. Food is available Friday, Saturday and Saturday. The selection of cheese and charcuterie boards are excellent, simple food really well done. Other pubs and restaurants could learn from this place.
