Lasan Takeaway Shotley in Babergh

We had a delicious Indian takeaway from the Lasan tonight. We had chicken tikka Ceylon, chicken tikka Korma, mushroom rice, pilau rice, plain naan & poppadoms 😋😋😋

Always excellent food, way above any other Indian takeaway we have had. Owner is extremely nice - always remembers me and asks how my kids are.

Recommended to me by my dad. Great food and friendly service. Especially liked the Bangla murgi.

Just had our first Indian meal from Lasan, and it was absolutely amazing. Flavour was incredible, nice sized portions, and such good value. They are also very warm and welcoming. I've eaten a lot of meals in Brick Lane, London, and Lasan in Shotley is up there. Thank-you for the amazing food and great chat while I waited.

I've eaten here many times and they are always excellent. Delicious curries and generous amounts of quality ingredients.

I recently tried the fish and chips from this takeaway, and I was pleasantly surprised by the use of 100% vegan oil for the chips. Run by predominantly father, who is the chef, and sons who are front of house, this is Indian and Fish and Chip takeaway only. As such it is several levels above the rest, the Indian menu is a little different and all cooked fresh: my favourite being the Chingari Aloo, with coconut rice and a naan. The other great joy, is, for fans of the food, Bombay Duck may soon be available, and I love Bombay Duck! It is ............... Lovely food, beautifully prepared.

Chips were ok but the fish was awful, waited for well over an hour for food once ordered.

This was well expensive!! Got a pukka pie,2 chips, burger and a cod. A few pence from 20 quid!!! It was a little greasy for my liking. The cod looked like the size of a goldfish that had been on keto.staff were very nice,but alas, I will not be returning....

Really excellent food from this indian takeaway, the food is really flavoursome and all the dishes I have tried so far have been really enjoyable and the staff are always friendly. Sadly I live 2 hours away but whenever I stay on my boat I treat myself to a nice meal. Thoroughly recommend:)

Amazing and consistent, the best Lamb Madras I have had in a long while, along with Bombay aloo. The Madras was perfect not over hot with the perfect balance of spices, only criticism menu is not up to date price wise.

Hoping we just picked the wrong night. Fish overcooked in old oil - black bits all over it, and chips undercooked. Had to disguise the bitter oil taste with ketchup.

Very lucky to have this takeaway in the village. The food is very very good and the food has that freshly prepared taste. I have been a regular customer for the past three months and I have not been disappointed.The service is good and is always ready on time.They also serve fish & chips I haven't tried the fish but the chips are amongst the best I have ever tasted.I am a difficult customer to please as I am passionate about my Indian food. Wow, called as it was local to where I was staying. Can honestly say one of my all time top 5 curries and I've one or two. Naga masala, was so full of flavour, fantastic texture and appearance. Staff were friendly. Excellent value and service. Well done guys Shame it's over 200miles from home

Best Indian in Ipswich by far! Moved here a few months ago and was dissapointed with number of takeaways around here. Luckily Lasan is all i need! Absolutley perfect everytime, amazing flavours and the owner and staff are more than friendly as well. They really do go above and beyond to make sure im happy every time! I had a dinner from you and it was disgusting I had coconut rice which was full of salt there was so much I had to throw my dinner in the bin will not be using you again the first time was lovely the second time disgustingIf I was not working I would’ve bought it back

Great takeaway service, order takes about half an hour to be ready. Everything as ordered and in generous portion sizes. Fresh and delicious. Would recommend.

Recently moved to the area and have used this place 3 times. Had fish and chips once which was nice and then had their Indian menu twice which really do rate very highly indeed. Beautiful food and so nicely presented too. Would definitely recommend the Biriani and the Sashlik.

Half hour waiting for small chips 🤦‍♂️

The good bit is the staff were friendly. I ordered a large cod which it was not. The batter was slightly burnt on the outside and uncooked inside and the fish had a unappealing grey hue to it. The chips were soggy. The mushy peas cost 70p and the helping was hardly more that a desert spoon full. All in all not a good experience.

Brilliant chips and highly recommended to take to pin mill afterwards as the pub there costs a mint. However, speed of service is very poor and you guys need to sort out you routine in covid 19. Try giving people numbers and change the shop even if it means serving at the door. We will come again, but pre order is the way.

Been meaning to try Lasan for a while and very glad that I did. Beautifully cooked curries, better than many Indian restaurants I've been to, and lovely friendly staff. Will most definitely be back!

My wife picked them up for me as she was passing, she couldn't believe the cleanliness of the establishment, and how friendly the staff were. This was the first time we have been here, it will not be our last! The Indian menu looks delicious as well, will definitely be giving that a try! 😁

Great Indian food and fish and chips. Can buy either to accommodate for children not wanting Indian food. Chefs can however cook dishes to your liking and heat preference if you choose Indian and don't want it too spicy. A friendly and well run takeaway with lovely food that always has you coming back for more. Highly recommended.

The curries have always been good, but we decided for a change to have fish and chips. The fish was very tasty, the mushy peas yummy, but the chips are perfect. Beautifully cooked and taste wonderful. Will definitely be back and would recommend Lasan to anyone.
