The best fish and chips you can find. Perfectly friend and homemade chips(fries)…but the homemade tartar sauce is ridiculous!

Had a wonderful time the atmosphere was great, Charlie the barman was very welcoming and we had a good laugh. Didn't like the lady very much very sour faced and not happy with people having a laugh. Needs retraining

We went here to try English fish and chips. The fish was light and flaky, well seasoned. Chips (fries) were average. Overall, it was a nice place to check out.

Beer selection is ok. We were given menus then told to order & pay at bar upfront. Food took forever! We were hungry and were thinking of leaving. But we had paid already. When it came. (We had the fish & chips & a steak pie). For the fish & chips. Both the peas and fries were previously frozen. We asked for tartar sauce. They said they were out. Just mayo. Girlfriend was upset. My steak pie had red cabbage I think from a jar & heated with onions. Otherwise it was ok. We have much better fish & chips at home in Canada. No one ever came back to our table to check on us. The 3 waitresses just stayed behind the back and chatted and ate. We finished & walked out.

I stopped in here due to the Yelp reviews. It's a good pub with a good location and a great food menu. I had a couple pints and a burger w/chips. Not too busy during lunch on a Wednesday. If I ever go back to London, I'd visit here again.

Nice pub friendly service. The menu looks good but very limited especially for vegetarians unless you like red lentils and chickpeas!

Fun place. Staff friendly. Even though all the hand pulled ale was off (boo!) we enjoyed a pale ale or two. Good prices for central London too........

Working in area so popped in for a quick Guinness. Nice beer, friendly welcome. Menu looked small but good and those nearby seemed to be enjoying their meals. Might have stayed but wanted to watch Cup game and they had Scottish footie on so needs must lol.

smallish pub inside but standing room outside.No regular session beers such as fosters or carlsberg so expect the more continental selection such as amstel etc.

Fantastic pub where we can drink the best double gin and tonic. Stuff very friendly. A good place to meet new people.

Nice stop in for an evening beverage with friends. Busy but not too noisey or crowded. Had a fun time as we were there during World Cup season and soccer fever was flourishing.

This is a perfect place for rounding off a nice evening out - the place is beautifully old-fashioned, the staff are very friendly, the choice of drinks is big, classic pub food is being served, there's TV and music. What else could you ask for?

We were meeting friends for drinks, but, on a sunny July evening, everywhere in the vicinity of Vincent Square in London’s Pimlico was packed with raucous post office hours crowds of loud workers. But the White Horse & Bower in Horseferry Road was surprisingly not too busy. We even got an outside table and had a good old natter for a couple of hours in the gorgeous sunshine.

Friendly people, very welcoming, they warmed our 10 month olds food that we had taken along and put it in a bowl for us . Food was good although a short menu , quick service polite people

It is our local pub. Went for fish and ships and was not disappointed. The food was weary good. The service personal and nice. Lots of people taking a bear heading home.

Fuimos a Londres con amigos y familiares, este se convirtió en nuestro pub. Encontramos esta joya oculta y fuimos varios días durante nuestra visita. Pasamos un sábado por la noche para conseguir la cena y unas copas en el pub en una visita a Londres con unos amigos. Este es un gran pub tradicional, la comida era buena, a un precio muy razonable, y con personal muy servicial y amable. I was walking through London looking for a bite to eat before heading to Victoria to grab my train and a come across this quintessential British pub. From walking in I was greeted with a smile and can not fault the food- absolutely delicious. I was recommended a pint of new beer- bear something- hit the spot perfectly! Having the manager serve me behind the bar is not something you see often in big chain pubs and really added to the visit.

You ordered up at the bar and your food was brought to you. We had burgers and chips along with some nice smooth ale. It was a nice cozy place with friendly staff and locals. The prices were reasonable.

Great pub in quiet part of London. Food was excellent and staff were superb. Especially Nat who was exceptional. Few mongs on day trip playing darts were great entertainment. All in all a great place

I love to stop by the White Horse & Bower on the walk home from work. Staff is always friendly and happy to serve you a pint of their finest!!

Pasamos una hora o dos en el caballo blanco y bower antes de volver a casa, nos sirvió un tipo llamado Charlie tuvo una gran actitud y carácter, y él también podría desembocar una buena Guinness. Buena cerveza y el ambiente en el pub. espero volver pronto.

Nos metimos en el White Horse & Bower por otra bebida entre citas en los distritos de Victoria y Westminster. Estuvo bien con una botella de vino que cuesta 16 libras. No tienen ninguna comida, aunque muchos de los clientes estaban comiendo comidas, así que supongo que debe de ser bueno. Todo lo demás en este pub era como de costumbre.

2 Gran San Miguels, un gran y buen servicio de alimentación usando un uniforme Charlie escandalosos paddy por día. Gran sensación en el pub

Nuestra primera visita a Londres, para la cena terminamos en este pub. Una gran bienvenida a esta bonita ciudad: personal amable, un ambiente agradable y buena comida. La cerveza también era genial. Nos encantó el pescado y las patatas fritas, el pescado estaba muy sabroso y tenían una costra sabrosa. Gracias por una gran primera experiencia en Londres.

Nice clean pub. Good, well kept beer. Nice selection. Reasonable price. Not much else to say. Would recommend for a quiet pint.

Stopped off here for a couple of pints after a meeting over at channel 4 about a new show I'm writing. The whitstable bay was delicious, so much so I had 6 more and stayed two hours longer than expected! Great pub great staff will definitely go back

I popped in to the pub on Christmas eve whilst waiting for a friend. I had a few beers, nice feel, looks like it's been refurbished recently. Very clean and welcoming. There were 3 staff behind the bar. Very smart and happy. Toilets are nice and clean. Albeit down stairs. I didn't eat, but maybe next time.

Have eaten lunch here a few times, good classic pub with a nice menu.The chicken burger is great, would recommend

We ate here as it was close to our accommodation in London. A Monday night but the place was busy and had a great feel. It's Pub food but very enjoyable and good value.

Nice quiet Public House close to Parliament and the Abbey with attentive staff. Probably one of the lower cost ( not quality ) places in Westminster. Well worth a visit!!

Excellent pub, great beer, great food, and a very good friendly local atmosphere. After a long walk on the south bank, this pub is recommended as a stop once back on the north bank.

My son and I ended in the White Horse and Bower after finding a near by restaurant recommended by Lonely Planet closed for the summer. Well, thanks Lonely Planet for misguiding us! While the beer was average, the nachos dish and Hamburger and fries were excellent. And the price was definitely cheap by London standards. I recommend the place.

Walking distance from our hotel. Had the steal and ale pie. It was excellent. Would recommend this as it is a nice pu l.

Lovely pub just around the corner from Channel 4's offices. Super food, and a great choice of beers. The service was super efficient too. Top tip though, the stairs down to the basement toilets are a little exciting after you've had a few!

This is a typical after work pub, with a good selection of beers and good bar snacks. It can get very busy towards the end of the week and isn't open at the weekends. The beer range is reasonable, but the cider isn't that great. Toilets down some steep stairs (not good if slightly wobbly) and it can be quite dark inside. But worth popping in for a quick pint. Soft drinks reasonably priced too.

very friendly, helpful staff. nice selection of drinks, spacious, clean, full of character. the food was excellent, all of us enjoyed our meal from the soup to the fish and chips and the burgers.would definitely go back again

Great pub on Horseferry Road, popular with office crowd at lunch time and early evenings but nice and quiet mid-afternoon. Good place to relax and watch the world go by.

This is an ok local pub, good drinks behind the bar, but has a dark and dank feeling, the barley mow next door is better.

Called here with a colleague after work. It was busy but not too much so. Decent range of beers and I was offered a range to try out. Not too pricey too considering the location. Happy to visit again and recommend.
