Popped in here for lunch, we sat on the new decking area in the warm sunshine. The baguettes we ordered were really good, hubby had bacon and Brie and i had Prawn cocktail, both were delicious and tasty. The place is lovely and lots of interesting things to see inside the pub. The outdoor seating area is clean and overlooks a stream.

We have recently enjoyed dinner here and it’s really typical of local good honest pub grub, quality, large portions, with ample range of menu choices. The locals and bar staff are very friendly bunch and don’t do the normal thing of who is in my pub, they are all very chatty and just nice really.

We were staying in a b&b in Stogumber and the owner recommended this pub. It's small and friendly and easy to find, opposite the pub. Welcome was friendly. The menu is extensive and everything is home made. I had the steak and kidney pudding which was excellent but really filling. Beer and cider were both good. This is a great little pub. Book to avoid disappointment.

Quiet pub in sleepy village. Extensive menu! I had lasagne (meat), it was really nice. Obviously home baked. My friend had the chicken curry and was equally complimentary. Well worth stopping here, it's right next to the shop and opposite a lovely old church.

If you’re hungry and appreciate good food don’t go to this place, for drinks it’s ok, but eating there it’s a waste of money. We’ve had the carebbean pork and the beed bourguignon and both dishes were terrible, looked and tasted like canned food and you pay quite a lot for that. No seasoning, dreadful!

Lovely traditional pub with excellent food and friendly staff. Exactly how a village pub should be, don’t ever change
