Excellent and speedy service, really lovely interior, great value for money, free car park nearby

We ate here after a family day out. They were serving food, which was a big plus as it was the 3rd pub we had tried in the area, and the previous 2 stopped early on a Sunday. The service was OK, and the food was delivered quickly. We all had a Sunday roast, and the food was excellent, but I have had more food and cheaper. The restaurant is clean and tidy, with indoor and outdoor seating.8

Nice break on our journey. Lovely open sided conservatory eating area out the back. Good snacks. Good beer.

Room (#5) very small ~10’ x 12’ with traffic noise outside. A few dribbles from the sink cold tap was best I could get. Bathroom floor felt sticky underfoot so I put a towel down. Food just “ok” but expensive (two plates fish and chips and a few drinks, 75 pounds). Ordered more toast, didn’t arrive. Ordered tea, but no sugar on tables. Met general manager, Sophie, as we left and mentioned the above. She ended the conversation with “I haven’t got time for this conversation”. Spoke volumes. Could be a great welcoming, pub if better run.

Staying with friends & ended up dining here 3 times! Fantastic, friendly, helpful service & so good with a friend with allergies. Food constantly good, had roast chicken first time, crispy skin but super moist. Burger second time that was well seasoned & tasty, fish £ chips had by others was excellent. One of the best brownies I’ve ever had, would kill for the recipe! Lovely decor & very comfortable inside with great garden too. All round a great village pub.

Went for dinner after a visit to Bombay Sapphire Distillery. Ample parking, seats inside and outside. We sat inside next to door out to the patio. Food was nice, we had the tapas. Gave 4 stars as the portions were very small. On the menu it advises 2 to 3 dishes each, but that is not true unless you have a very small appetite. Service great though, everyone was very friendly.

Visited White Hart Overton Pub on a Friday afternoon as a stop to a holiday destination. There are several inside areas set up for dining, with outside area too. All are decorated to a high standard, with quirky items to draw your interest. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. All five of us ate and all the food was to high standard. They did supply skinny chips when fat were order but the fat turn in no time and did not effect the enjoyment of the experience. There is parking at the rear for several cars at the rear. I would recommend a visit and will return if in the area again

Nice pub/restaurant.Overnight stay in Stable pleasant and quiet. Sunday Roast very satisfactory, Breakfast also very good. Overton turned out to be an interesting little place. Good location near A 303.

Great pub in the centre of town. Food was excellent and Sophie is just a delight.

Lovely interior design however this is a facade for the lack of portions and premium which you pay for. I didn’t even get the greens which were supposed to come with the meal. The prices are high where the brand is supposed to be a premium pub but what they gave was nothing of the sort - wouldn’t recommend,especially with the cost of living crisis

Stopped for a night on way down to Cornwall. Close to Stonehenge. Room was spacious. Breakfast was delicious

We go several times here for lunch and it is always great. it is quite spacious , it has a fantastic patio area for sun worshipers. The building itself has managed to hit the right balance of being a cozy local and a place to go out for a bit of a do! Last night we booked a function room and and had a 3 course meal for a "clan gathering". We sampled cocktails , the house red ( which is wonderful! ) as well as the food. The food is well worth a mention - standout dishes were the prawn cocktail, rump steak and hummus. There is a good choice of desserts as well. Everyone in the party mentioned how good the food was. I would like to thank the staff Joe, Lyndon, Carla , Livi and Mia who looked after us all so well last night. They managed to navigate the various course choices, our endless requests and still manage to keep perfectly on schedule! Thank you so much everyone for giving us such a great night. I heartily recommend you visit for a relaxing and enjoyable time.

We brought my Dad for a Fathers Day breakfast, he throughly enjoyed it. He has some mobility issues and finds it hard to sit upright. We had nothing to worry about, the Manager Sophie sat him in the most comfortable seating area. He wanted to stay longer! I could not fault the service we got, I would highly recommend 👌 xx

We stopped at this lovely pub for a drink as we were walking in Overton. The pub is lovely inside. We didn’t eat but the food smelt good. The pub has a lovely garden out the back too. Next time we are in the area will be coming back for dinner!

Cental location in Overton with parking behind the pub. Pleasant staff. Room was a good size, very clean. Walls could do with a little tlc to plug old drill holes for whatever used to be hanging on them - but that's being uber nitpicky. Nice tea/coffee/biscuits assortment and didn't skimp on teabag/coffee/milk which was nice, as I do like to make a cuppa. Very comfortable stay. Huge full english breakfast and all very tasty.

A tremendous place to stay. Very comfortable and nicely appointed rooms serving wholesome food (especially breakfast!). Extremely reasonable prices and book direct! Really, really good staff and special thanks to Orla for sorting out my booking mistake seamlessly.

Food was good, staff lovely but took a long time for the food to come out. We had children in the group, anyone who has children will know they cannot wait when the are hungry and get bored very easily.

Very lovely setting. The room was clean. Only downside was no hairdryer.

I went there to sleep. Warm place. Comfortable and well-equipped room.

I requested a table to one side or in a corner and that’s what I was given. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Food was delicious, well presented and good quality. The extra provision for dogs is a really nice touch and my dog loved is special meal (and beer). Thank you.

Poor service and ultimately lacked staff attentiveness. The “holy moly” addition did not seem beneficial since nothing was offered and we had to continue asking, of which was made hard when there never seemed to be any staff around to do so - would not recommend.

Enjoyable lunch, good food and beer. Service a little slow, but it was busy and they were probably understaffed.

Was disappointed that my decidedly pink unappetising chicken was not changed when I drew the attention of the first waitress to it. Made the best of it as the rest of the meal was ok, but the service was incredibly thinly spread. The new shift staff (possibly manageress) agreed to take the price of the chicken off our bill. I got the impression that this was a common complaint. Adding service to the bill was a bit of an insult. Other meals in our party were OK. It's just not nice to not be taken seriously when there was clearly an issue with the cooking.

Stopped off here on the way through. Food and drink is good quality and the atmosphere is cozy.

We stayed here to go to the bombay sapphire distillery. Location was great and the room was very nice. Good value for money.

Good pub to meet in before going on for a curry. Nice environment and staff. Did see one of the staff having a cheeky puff of his vape inside the pub (naughty naughty !!).

Stayed at the pubs hotel the other night, the room was fantastic, bed comfy, shower was amazing and all round really impressed with my stay. Staff friendly and welcoming showing me around instead of the usual here is your key go work out were you are. Food and drink also very good, menu - excellent, Drinks - Quite pricey but the atmosphere makes up for it. Will be using this hotel again when im back in the area.

Went for Sunday lunch with the family very good food, excellent service would certainly recommend a visit. Paid another visit Aug 7th 2021 very good food and service i will be back again in the near future go and see for yourselves. Jan 21st 2024 I think it's changed hands still really good great Sunday lunch very busy staff very good.

After a great meal last year and always wanting to return we went today. Well unfortunately this has ruined our experience and we will not be returning again. Slow service throughout, having to ask for menus after being seated for a while, having a service charge put on our bill for 2 people and then due to wanting to pay with cash we had to go to the bar which queued behind all the bar drinks being served.

Great place to go to! We went for dinner tonight to celebrate my niece's 4th birthday. We were served by Charmaine, who was absolutely fantastic! She served us with a big smile, interacted with both kids, and just made the whole experience outstanding. Chef Glenn prepared a brownie and wrote on the plate Happy birthday, which was so nice! Thank you! It was great, and we will definitely be back.

Only visited the White Hart for a breakfast. The staff were helpful and the food very enjoyable.The baked beans were served cold but on the staff hearing of this they were replaced with a small piping hot pot of beans.

Very spacious but cozy pub environment. Staff especially the waitress was super friendly. The food was magnificent and well priced. No reservation required during the week but recommended for the weekend and the kitchen closes at 21:30 which is perfect.

What an absolute gem. Gorgeous decor, fantastic, polite and attentive staff and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

We chose the White Hart as it was close to the Bombay Sapphire Gin distillery. What a fantastic experience we had. Rooms, Food, Location and Staff all perfect. At breakfast in the morning, the lovely Sophie could not have been nicer. Thank you.

I have been a loyal customer since the white hart has re opened but I can honestly say since Sophie and her team has turned up the vibe and the connection with the customers has improved massively, they make you feel welcomed and valued as a customer, thanks guys, keep up the hard work it is appreciated.

It's a shame! We are usuel customers and the new general manager mistreated us. They refused us to be served a diner. She called the cops because we wanted to pay the room the next day and they woke us up midnight to kick us out of the venue.

Had a lovely roast beef dinner today (sunday). Pub had a nice relaxed atmosphere, staff were attentive, food was great and presented very nicely. Will be back again soon. It's our favourite pub for food. My wife has some allergies and she felt relaxed and comfortable about making sure everything was fine. The staff told us about them having a super new menu coming soon in the next few weeks so we can't wait to come back and try all the exciting new dishes. Thank you all 😀

Very disappointed with the service. Not all the prices for drinks were listed so ended up paying £12 for a big glass of wine (absolutely ridiculous when is £22 a bottle and 100% I didn’t had 1/2 bottle ). A few weeks before I had a meal out for work and we didn’t realised a 12.5% discretionary service charge was added to the bill as nobody informed us and we haven’t used the menu to order. Because of this, work refused to pay the expenses. This is not right and this should not be added to start with as is DISCRETIONARY and not MANDATORY

It was a decent, if expensive lunch. Service was friendly but very inefficient; I was waiting at the bar for service as the staff were chatting in the kitchen. Once food was ordered it arrived swiftly enough.

Really disappointed with the room.. Stayed here for my boyfriends birthday as we had a tour booked at Bombay Sapphire Distillery. Neither the coffee machine nor the kettle worked. The lamp in the room also didn't work. King size bed was just a double. The faulty appliances were reported and we were given an extension lead to resolve this... It didn't work so we didn't bother reporting again. We had drinks in the bar which were nice, the food looked delicious but we didn't have any. A Nice atmosphere in the pub that evening. Shame it was let down by the room. A 2 star hotel at best.

Went for a birthday meal with friends on a Saturday evening. Lovely food and good service. We go back every 6 weeks to meet with friends, to have Sunday lunch, always good food.

Very nice location and venue but the room left a lot to be desired. Advertised as a king bed, this was a double. The kettle, coffee machine and light did not work. We were offered an extension lead but this obviously didn't fix faulty hardware. No other assistance was offered and this was advertised as 4 star. Would not use this venue again unfortunately.

Fabulous food, Amazing service!

Great pub, great by folding doors allowed us to eat with the breeze flowing through the restaurant. Great food at reasonable prices, highly recommend.

Very dodgy. Attempted to book a room and a meal with them. Their website took the credit card details and then nothing. No reservation, no reply when I attempted to contact them. Alerted the bank. They come across as extremely dodgy if they're not running a scam then they are deeply incompetent with zero accountability and customer service. I'd recommend avoiding.

Popped in for a quick beer before a Christening. Bar girl was having problems pulling a pint of Hogs Back T which eventually came out cloudy. I asked for another beer to be told that there was nothing wrong with this one other than it was a bit cloudy😂. She poured me another beer then tried to make me pay for the undrinkable cloudy one too! When I said that I would not pay for the cloudy beer she asked my wife and I to leave. I was so surprised and disgusted that I couldn’t even be bothered to tell her that I had been a camra member for over 40 years! Customer service hey. Dreadful place and person. Have told all the family and friends in the area not to use.

My husband and I popped in for last orders. The service was friendly and polite. We didn't stay in a room. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

We stopped here for breakfast. Very nice, if a little over priced for what you get..... but the wallpaper in the ladies toilet was great!

The new bar layout seems to have limited the space available for any customers to stand, but other than that, it's a pub. Edit 02-05-23 A group of 5 of us went here on 01-05 and paid for drinks as rounds. When my friend went to pay for the final round, they charged for everything but didn't say anything. Avoid!

We have visited a few times recently, and had a brilliant experience every time! Today we went for a roast, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Very impressed with how attentive the new manager was despite them being busy. Can’t wait to return!

Just popped in for a coffee. The Sunday lunches looked good.

Booked a birthday dinner here for 13 guests. The booking process online was easy and the organisation before the party arrived was good. We've never been before (not local to us) so we came based on the online reviews. The decor and atmosphere was nice, and the welcome was warm and our party were pleased that the restaurant was dog friendly. As a large table we were asked to pre-order our meals and pay a £5/pp reservation (taken off the bill at the end). The new server who welcomed us was friendly and attentive. There were some delays in a couple of drinks coming, but our requests for them were politely acted upon. The service of the pre-order was really good and everyone enjoyed the meal. The team also held a cake for us before we arrived as a surprise and we're happy to bring it out for us to sing to the birthday boy. None of the local guests had been before, but they said they would be back. Thanks for taking care of us for the evening 🎉

Decided on breakfast out to treat myself prior to writing a chemistry paper today. This is one of those pubs that I consider one of life's unsung hero's. The staff are always sunny and cheerful (even on a gloomy mid Feb morning). The atmosphere is chilled and the decor tasteful yet understated. I opted for the Eggs Royale and was very happy with the perfectly poached eggs, good balance of hollandaise and no scrimping on the smoked salmon. Served quickly and left happily to eat and read my book. Nice folks, really nice! 😊
