Nice pub has its own brewery staff friendly beer, ok it's worth a visit

This is my chosen local. We are always made welcome. Great food. Great friendly atmosphere. Gin and beer distilled on the premises. The best good old fashioned British pub experience in Halstead.

Delicious lunch, friendly man behind the counter...

Nice to see 3 ales upon our visit .Two of us chose the same while the other had something different . On the second round I thought I'd have to come back for the third pint!, but a member of staff (without being asked ), brought the third pint over !. Also nice to see a pub put out some roast potatoes on a Sunday !.

The food was best we have tasted in the area. Chef cooks with passion and also its not a vast menu, the meals are far better than average.

The food is delicious, the prices are affordable, and the service is kind

Driving through Halstead we stopped on the off chance. Great friendly traditional pub. Really cozy. Food looked great. Good local ales. Dog friendly.

Lovely place ,great meal, very friendly staff and they brew their own beer on site which was fantastic
