We had an amazing meal here and will definitely be back. The staff are extremely friendly, the service is quick, and the food is delicious.

What a disappointment! Our first opportunity to eat out after the end of lockdown 2 and we thought that we would support one of our local restaurants. The positives; The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and clean. The young waitress was lovely and worked extremely hard serving all the tables on her own. The starter of 6 different cold dips was tasty. The negatives; No chicken or lamb available! At 7.30pm...that was half the dishes off the menu. All of our 3 main courses were awful. One was so inedible we sent it back. In fairness the lovely waitress did replace the meal without any fuss. Maybe the chef was just having an off day, who knows. It pains me to be so slating about a local restaurant as we need as many as possible in Halstead but I’m afraid this visit was dreadful and certainly wasn’t worth the £80 it cost us.

Been here a few times now and also had a take away. No complaints at all. We have been fortunate enough to have had the same waiter who has been excellent.

Table for two, calamari and chilli Prawns followed by Musaka and Lamb Chops to follow bottle of wine 2 large beers and fizzy water £80, Chops a bit dry but everything else was good. Worth a return visit!

We ordered a takeaway for 6 for a birthday celebration. We'd never eaten here but thought it worth a try. I hardly ever leave reviews but this is an exception. Honestly one of the nicest Turkish restaurants we've ever eaten at. Sometimes I've found the meat can be quite dry but not here. It was so tasty and well cooked. We'll definitely be back. Hugely recommended

Had a lovely 'date night' at Anatolian Dude this evening. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absaloutlely delicious. I was worried that the sides were separate and that it would end up being expensive but my husband and I had a main each and a side between us and this was more than enough for us. We were keen to try the baklava but didn't have room so ordered it to take away. The chef sent us lots of delicious extras to try (who knew a carrot dip could be so tasty?!) and we felt welcomed, well fed and safe even in this current, weird situation. Definitely a local business worth supporting in these uncertain times. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We visited on a Sunday lunch time for a birthday celebration, all Covid precautions were in place and observation these crazy times. The free on street parking on Market Hill was useful. Through the doors into a bar area we went with a cavernous restaurant set back behind that, where we were seated by a very helpful, attentive, polite and cheerful waitress, who made our lunch very pleasant. A definite asset for the restaurant. Lounge music broke the silence as we were the only table sitting but in these crazy Covid times, plus being rather early we learnt that the restaurant is busier in the afternoon and evenings. We choose drinks and wine from a good selection, only fruit ciders available though but no standard cider. For starters we had the platter to share for two which was plenty of dips and bread, filled us up. Very good food. For mains we had the mains platter which was a good selection of Turkish food, plenty of food to share for two with rice. We were full to bursting now. A nice touch was that the birthday girl was treated with a special birthday sweet complete with birthday music and dimmed lights. Thank you for that and the thought. Turkish coffees to finish and a doggie bag to go with the food we could not finish. A great time had by all and we will visit again. All in around £40 a head covered the very good plentiful food and drink which good value, but take some cash if you want to leave a tip, you can not add it to the bill. All the staff we met were pleasant and welcoming, a great help to celebrate a special day.

My favourite restaurant in Halstead, amazing selection both food, drinks and cocktails! Food is served quickly and tastes so delicious & fresh!! All staff are so lovely, welcoming and chatty especially Mia who is always so friendly!!

Very good food delivered from this restaurant yesterday. We enjoyed the hot mezze starter platter which had loads of variety and everything was tasty and fresh. All the little sauces you would get in the restaurant were also provided.The highlight of the mains was the lamb skewer served with rice. It was simply delicious! And the chicken skewer with yoghurt was also lovely. Shepherd’s salad on the side was plentiful and balanced the mains beautifully. And the rice pudding on the house! Couldn’t have asked for a better meal that the whole family enjoyed and feels healthier than your average takeaway too! Highly recommended.

Nothing was too much trouble for our lovely waitress, Mia. She could see I was struggling with the heat and offered to put the air-con on. We had a really tasty sharing platter that consisted of falafel, flatbread and humous, spicy sausage, olives, and tzatziki. Lovely healthy mains - sea-bream, buttered garlic prawns, juicy skewers, followed by crispy baklava. Nice cool relaxed atmosphere with comfy chairs (very important), we will be back!

We stopped for lunch in Halstead on a stormy Sunday when most of the town seemed shut. We were at the Anatolian Dude a bit early, but were very kindly allowed in out of the rain and wind to use the facilities and wait until the kitchens were open for business. We enjoyed the conversation with the young man who welcomed us in, despite us probably interrupting his routine. Lunch was Adana for both of us, minced seasoned lamb in a tomato sauce served on bread with thick and creamy yoghurt, and very tasty it was too. We were made very welcome and enjoyed our lunch, would have no hesitation in recommending this as a great place to eat.

Had high hopes for this place. The bar as you walk in looks lovely and decorated beautifully. Cocktails were nice. We have eaten in a lot of really good Turkish restaurants and whilst the food here is good, it doesn't stand out compared to others. The service was quite slow and the head waiter was very rude to the other staff right in front of us at our table!!

Loving Anatolian Dude! The people running this restaurant are extremely patient- I kept changing my booking and they were totally accommodating. The food was really excellent - the platters were particularly lovely, the flavours of the different meats were great. The music added to the general ambience of the evening and we felt like we had had a proper night out, without leaving Halstead. The staff were kind and unflappable, even when we soaked the table in coffee! We had a very enjoyable night out, will be going there again, and will definitely be recommending it.

Visted here as a party of 10 + 4 young children for a birthday dinner. From the moment we walked into the friendly welcome, to the moment we left I have to say that the service could not be faulted. Very polite & attentive staff - nothing was too much trouble. Food was also excellent & very well presented....this is a stylish place. The little touch of dimming the lights and playing "Happy Birthday" over the music system as our cake was presented after the meal was also a lovely thought.. Personally it was the first time that I have been here, certtianly won't be the last as this is lovely little gem in Halstead. If you fancy sometjhing a littel different, then Anatolian Dude is certainly recommended. Many thanks to all for a lovely meal

I visited tonight with friends for the first time here, and was made to feel very welcome from the moment I stepped through the door. The service and food were amazing, I can’t fault it. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
