White Hart in Medway

It is a very dog friendly pub. The staff was very nice and helpful. There is a very limited choice of the gluten-free option, but the food tasted nice! We will go back again if we are in the area again.

Went for a Sunday lunch, food was very hot and delicious. Fish & chips really good and so was the vegan burger. Burger was completely dry though - no salad, sauces or vegan cheese, not sure if the chef forgot or if it comes like that. Only minor irritations were a man smoking right outside the back door and his smoke was being blown towards us by the wind. It would be good if smokers were asked to use a space more towards the rear as if we were sitting at the table by the door I’d have complained and would’ve asked to move. Also floorboards aren’t very stable so every time someone walked past our table vibrated. Overall though, good food and very pretty garden.

We just had lunch, a bacon, brie, and cranberry sandwich. Oh wow! The baguette, fresh from the local baker, was crusty and delicious, the brie had real flavour (unlike the supermarket ones I have been buying) and there was loads of cranberry filling. It was served with crispy, fluffy chips and a side salad. No problem when I asked for no dressing on the salad. I had the peach melba roulade for dessert- so good, and my daughter had the panna cotta, also so good. Staff were welcoming and helpful. It was a most enjoyable visit. It was midweek late, so quiet.

27 of us booked lunch. Food was amazing, was served nice and hot. Staff were professional, caring, and would recommend to everyone. Well done to the White Hart.

Staff were quite rude and didn't allow you to communicate with them!

The food wasn't that great, however the service was good. Not a bad atmosphere, if it wasn't windy, sitting outside would be great.

The WH has been my local for years the staff are amazing... good food, good beer and good service.

My friend and I had such a lovely lunch time meal. Clearly the foods is cooked from scratch and so tasty. Really lovely.

We went for celebration meal with family of 8, food was lovely and everyone enjoyed their meals, best Halloumi fries I have had. Service was excellent and very attentive, thank you for a lovely evening.

This is my old local pub, and we recently held our wedding reception here. The service and food were superb. The staff incredibly helpful and made the day even more special. Really good value for money and our guests were really complimentary about the food, service and pub generally. Thank you once again to everyone.

It has an amazing atmosphere, and the service is hands down the best. there were many waiters, all were nice, but we got surved by duggy. They were very nice and they helped so much(idk if their name is spelt right). I very much recommend the ribieye steak and the fish and chips overall amazing place ☆☆☆☆☆

Thanks. We stopped for a quick bite before a long journey. Very tasty, fast, despite the fact that many tables were occupied by large groups of guests. Very pleasant service. Nice garden and there is a children's playground.

Popped in when passing. Was pleasantly surprised. It was realitvely quite dispite a full car park. Seated straight away and the staff were very attentive. Food was very well presented. Would recommend and return again.

Went there for the Triumph motorcycle event last week and they changed £7 for a burger, which is seriously overpriced. To be fair it was a good burger, but should have been a fiver and I would have written a more positive review.

I love the place. Food is always good, staff excellent.

My wife and I go here every couple of months for a meal. Also been there as part of a group of runners. Staff are friendly, they have a dedicated restaurant area and separate bar. At busy times they also serve food in the bar area. Well worth a visit. Great value.

The service was attentive. Food was reasonably priced. However the back door was constantly being opened by staff and customers allowing the ghastly smell of cigarette smoke into the dining area.

Sun in eyes was hard to cope with. Good portions were totally sufficient. Friendly staff.

Noise and bad language from bar next door spoilt our experience. Our waitress ask them to moderate their language, but they ignored her request and carried on. The staff were very apologetic but perhaps the landlord needs to lay the law down.

Nice roast dinner. Apart from the roast potatoes. Wasn't really cooked properly. Not even crispy .bit wooly .apart from that a really nice place staff were .friendly. and polite.

Went to see a band called The Substitutes playing here a few weeks back, amazing band really great evening and a lovely pub. Will have to come back and try the food.

A good pub scenically 📸 positioned on the corner by the entrance to Cuxton village 🏡 with the vista backdrop of the floodplain and greenery 💐🌳 adjacent to the meandering river Medway and within eyeshot of the imposing Medway Viaducts. The food 🍴 is above average and I can't fault the drink on offer! 🍻

Went as a group for our work Christmas meal (party of 10) and the service was fantastic - we even had a couple of our group change their main at the last minute and this was accommodated with no fuss or complaints. The staff were polite and we even received mini mince pies at the end of the meal for no extra charge. Thank you for being so flexible and for making it a great occasion for us all!

Spent the evening listening to live bands, dancing and drinking what more does a human need??

Went for Christmas dinner today. Food was absolutely disgusting. Yorkshires had a funny taste and was soft, beef was all chewy, veg was all hard and roast potato’s had been warmed up- pretty sure it had all been warmed up. Gutted as our Christmas Day dinner has been ruined. Won’t be coming back and definitely was not worth the £160 spent. Have previously eaten here with no problems but todays dinner was beyond awful.

Lovely food and as there were 10 of us very impressed the food came out well cooked and hot.Just a shame there didn't seem many others dining but we did go early on a Thursday.

I really recommend the Sunday Roast! I'm quite fussy when it comes to roast dinners but I would definitely go back to the White Hart for another one! The fudge cake wasn't something I would rush back for though as it was quite hard and not soft and fudgey! The other desserts looked nicer! :D

Nice pub, clean and tidy and very spacious. Was our first time in the place, and would recommend visiting, if .......... it wasn't for the very unwelcoming barman. Didn't get a word from him or even a thanks after spending £11 a round. Would have rated higher if we the staff made half an effort.

Great place to stop for a couple of beers

Long wait for food, at 5 pm no roast. When we booked, it was not clear if you wanted a roast. You had to book it. Wouldn't be going back. We waited so long for a pudding we decided to go, but we were still charged for them.

We went in with no reservations. This was no problem for a party of two. Staff was very friendly and we ordered a Fish and Chips and a chicken Caesar salad. It was good

Dining on a Tuesday evening in mid-August, and the White Hart wasn't packed out, which was nice for my group. Service was good, and the food was good, and the price was right. Being a Shepherd Neame pub might not suit everyone, but I enjoy the Bear Island IPA.

Slow service had to wait 20 minutes to order drinks, and food looked good but not as good as last time. Roast potatoes had a very hard exterior, so once in, I only ate the middle. I would say the veg was just blanched, so Al dente. Yorkshire Pudding looked good but was rubbery. The best was the roast beef and roast Lamb. The water for the table came in a nice bottle but inside the neck was dirty as if not cleaned. Biggest bug bear was non blue badge parked in the disabled parking space

A warm welcome, a comfortable and spacious table with no waiting. The menu had a good selection, and there is a specials board with more choice, all at reasonable prices. The food was served piping hot and very tasty by the friendly and professional staff. A great experience overall.

Brilliant local for food and a quick beer. Outside seating area for the few summer months we have here in the UK. Decent Sunday roast to scratch that itch. Plus no washing up after! Def worth a visit if you're local.

Anniversary meal for two. The food order came out wrong! A Moo burger ordered a classic was received, took a few minutes to catch attention of the server, who replied 'oh, I will check the order' server comes back I got it right and smiled! Kitchen got it wrong, rather than eating separatly, agreed to the wrong burger.I had beef stir fry that was so salty made my eyes water and no vegetables only onions, also with an additional grape stalk within the rice! Very poor and WONT be returning!

A nice little pub with nice indoor and outdoor seating and an outside garden area. The kids play area was nice but could be improved, very small and they have the space for it too. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. However the food was hit and miss. The chips looked very greasy and not at all appetising, a shame as they seem like a staple with most dishes. The mushroom carbonara and calamari were great. The staff member serving us was lovely. Prices similar to most pubs..

My parents and friend visited today to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Have eaten at the pub before and enjoyed it. However today's visit was not so good, not much of a choice on the lunch time menu, my mum ordered the all day breakfast, the sausages were hard and overcooked, the potato hash was nearly all onion and just about warm. My dad ordered the sweet and sour chicken, there was no pineapple, the skin was left on the chicken which was undercooked and the sauce was slimy, this was sent back. Dissapointing and and described as awful, will not be going back

Stopped here to meet someone for lunch, staff very freindly beer was good and all three meals were good. There's a small carpark and a beer garden for when the weather is better. Also dog friendly in the bar and garden. 😀👍

Visited on weekend and ended up with the worse food poisoning of my life. Shame as it seemed decent (aside from stench of urinal when coming into the door , that should have tipped me off). Food was good (at the time) and server was quite friendly. Needed to use the toilet but opted not to when saw the state of them. If I’d seen the toilet before ordering I would not have stayed and would have gone elsewhere. After being sick for over 24 hours and missing work because of it, wish I had skipped it. Will definitely check reviews and ask around before going to a new place from now on.

Me and two friends spent a lovely 3 hours today enjoying a relaxing lunch here. Food choices were great, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so welcoming and friendly, cannot rate them highly enough. Cannot wait to go back.

A very relaxed atmosphere Food looks very good and the drinks are very reasonable definitely a good place to visit. I will just comment that the female toilets have a bad smell to them ( maybe drains etc, and could do with been kept tidy and checked regularly )

Had lunch with a friend at the White Hart. The food was lovely and well priced was lucky to get the last pie on the specials so that pleased me ! If you like a pudding the biscoffe cheesecake is to die for ! The best part of our visit was ... Dougie ! I love ❤️ him ! From the moment we arrived he was friendly, welcoming , and just a lovely person! We spoke about our love of nails ! My friend and I would definitely recommend and willbe coming again 💅

The staff are lovely! Usual selection of SN, plus a guest ale or two. The outdoor area is mostly uncovered, but the bits that are covered have heat lamps. Dog friendly!

Had roast dinner today chicken and veg lovely potatoes were old batch that was cooked were awful. Yorkshire pudding cold. Hubby says it was chronic.

Pleasant pub. I booked our company Christmas meal after being reassured they could cater for Gluten free customers. The meals were ordered prior to the day, giving time to purchase gluten free food. At the meal my Festive meal came without pigs in blanket, stuffing or Yorkshire pudding. Just a few vegetables, roast potatoes and turkey. I asked why I didn't have these items, I was informed they didn't have any gluten free ones. Then given a plate containing the missing items but all contained GLUTEN. At the end of the meal mince pies were offered with tea and coffee. When asked if they had one I could have, again told no. No reduction was given. It takes little effort to purchase the items or to store a few in the freezer. The lack of provision demonstrates poor customer care.

Lunch with friends. Pork belly roast was awesome, veg ok, Yorkshire burnt! Service a lot to be improved. Value for money, ok.

Customer service was brilliant and not because it had to be but because the people seemed to really enjoy being there. We brought 2 kids and a dog and all 5 of us were well looked after. The kids' food and portion size were just right. The adults food was delicious too. Hope to return

We went to the white hart at Caxton today 10 of us from our wl we all had a lovely meal the service and two young people who dealt with us were great definitely knew what they were doing well done to all.
