Very bad service, please don’t come here

2 pound for a rank cup of coffee. The coffee machine was off .With floating bits of milk in there ???? Was it off ?? It put me off drinking it . Nearly 4 pounds for an orange

Can't fault the pub, and the fact they make extra effort with my dog goes far in my estimations.. Lovely staff as well 👌🏼

Where do I start, should be -1 stars. We had a family gathering there on the 18.05.24, we all ordered food and drink and was told we would have to wait for an hour for the food which we was fine with. However after about hour and 45 min and continously asking about our order ,our food at last came which were literally thrown on the table and to top it all they were all cold (even simple dish like pasta for kids looke dlike it was just under a warmer lamp for hour, was literally dry). There was other things that was wrong that night but I would have to write a book about it. Absolutely dreadful even if we did get our money back and a gift token ,there was no excuse for this behaviour . Never Never go there again. Every single staff should be let go , they don't want to be there, when you asked them questions they just walked of ,which made all of us madder. I'm not the one to complain or write the reviews but this was disgraceful 😔 Update.Wow A bit surprised with the response, but I guess business like to give refunds (which I actually didn't receive) than improve the service. On that day we weren't only table to return all the food.

Sack your chef! Awful food, items missing off plate and cold .. and to make matters worse, waited over 40 minutes to be served this rubbish. Will not be returning!

We watched the last week match between Man United Vs Arsenal. The place was lit and we enjoyed the ⚽ while playing snooker 😄 Happy dayzzzz

The kids 1 scoop ice cream is absolutely shocking. My little one got 3 tiny strips which made it look like the chef had half to cool down & the waiter said it was standard procedure.

Absolutely awful, women behind the bar was giving dirty looks made me wait 30 mins to order and then people got in front of me in the queue. Finally got my food and it was not what it said on the menu, as it stats tomato lettuce bacon cheeee and this is what I got given….. a chicken breast with the tiniest bit of lettuce no bacon or cheese….. Great pub, been going here for almost 10 yrs! Love the layout, it's casual in parts and then more catered for dining in other parts. Two great pool tables, a darts board, some fruit machines and a brilliant outdoor beer garden at the back. They play live sports on huge screens too! The staff are friendly and so are the locals, always happy to have a chat and a laugh! Special offers are available most days but it seems Thursdays are the best! Go have a pint and checkout the pub! I'm sure you'll love it :-)

Thankyou to the staff and management of the White Elephant for making the opening of the baseball season really memorable for me. I was visiting from the U.S. and they were kind enough to open the pub early so I was able to see the game. The staff were friendly and accommodating in every way.

We went to the White Elephant a handful of times while in town visiting family and the staff was so accommodating and friendly! Highly recommend!

Very busy and loud inside, which makes a great scene for sports and parties, but not so much conversation! A great environment though, 2 pool tables and a darts board :)

Just had a great lunch, the food was excellent and Donna went out of her way to provide great service .We will definitely be returning and would be happy to recommend .

10 of us ate on Sunday 25th Feb, all of the food came out at the same time, and was all hot and delicious. Would highly recommend.

A lovely Green King Pub, It has large screens showing sport including the garden area. A great menu, well kept beer, and great staff. The management team here are working hard on community involvement with a regular book group, Seniors event, Clothing swaps and community group using it for meetings. A good local asset.

Love this local pub! Food is nice! I always have the burger cos they taste good. Clientele in there is friendly! Good community spirit especially when my youngest got locked in the toilet! We were crazy women singing Wannabe to calm her down! Definitely my local now!

If there are any Japanese people, just for reference... When you enter the store, first secure a seat, then order from the staff. (You will be asked for your seat number at that time, so remember it well) The store clerk was a very nice guy and listened to my poor English. I ordered fish and chips and beer, and it was pretty good. There's a rumor that British food is the worst, but I think it's a superstition.

This is such a friendly, welcoming pub - the team are working hard to create a community focussed pub with various events taking place. They have a great vegetarian and vegan menu too - very reasonably priced (and delicious💚). Safe and clean - pay a visit soon!

Waited over an hour for food :( although we were told we had already paid so it’s not like we could have done anything about it. And I did order a drink from the bar which took a while as other people that were regular were served first. I had Mac n cheese and this came out frozen I did ask them to micro wave it which they did but the staff made me feel like I was moaning when it was still literally frozen…

Nice place, it has pool tables, a big screen for sport and a cosy seating area in the garden.

I really like this pub. Nicely fitted out, good value food and drink and nice little touches with the games they have but time and time again they let you down with poor service. A couple of times there were no tables even though I'd booked (for 14!), they'd not reserved and I've been kept waiting for food for hours (literally hours) on several occasions. Feel like they are never staffed properly. Staff are nice enough and do their best though.

Caitlin is an amazing waitress, very professional not too over bearing coming and asking every 2 minutes is everything okay, food was delicious, tasty and hot when it arrived promptly, kai is very nice easy to charm 😁 Joe is lovely very accommodating what a lovely pub with a delightful ambience, I will defo come here again and would highly recommend the white elephant in northampton! Could be bit cleaner, toilets especially. Not very noisy at all given the busy area. Food was quite nice. Service was good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Family friendly.

We went to the white elephant while we were having a day in Northampton to see our granddad before we flew home to Australia And the food was amazing, the drinks were better than at home and it was such a lovely pub we would definitely come back if we came back to Northampton.. forgot to mention the staff bar staff Caitlin was very accommodating!

Went with a friend and her family for lunch. Good was lovely had scampi and chips and not expensive. Service was excellent very attentive.

Have lived here in Northampton for 18 years, and visited the White Elephant many times, always enjoying myself each visit. Today I enjoyed a lovely m lunch ::Gammon , egg and chips. It was delicious, perfect The sweet was delicious . Just having a cup of tea now. By the way I am nearing my 81st birthday . Last but certainly not least, the staff here at the White Elephant area a credit to you . , Curtious , friendly, and efficient . Will not hesitate in spreading the good news . Had a reunion party for a few work colleagues and they had kindly reserved a space just for us. A few of us had food which was amazing and the staff were all so friendly. Thanks so much for making it a great night.

Wasn't the best visit overprized food that took a long time to arrive considering we was in a nearly empty pub will not be using it again

The barmaid was excellent and helped out as much as she could no fault in anything she did. Now for why the 1 star, the food turned up and when tasting it there was very luke warm veg the Yorkshire was cold and the meat was not great for instance my little girls meat was stone cold this was totally unexseptable they did replace it as they should, but we had five meals in total and nearly all the food was cold and my wife did not even eat hers as it was no were near eatable. The manager came over twice, and there were no real appolgies from him and not even an attempt to reconsile anything such as free desert or money back so badly. I would not recommend eating here at all.

I'm here to watch the rugby on a Saturday. Its like I've walked into a crèche. Almost more kids than adults. And, for the third time in a month - NO BEER - just lager. This is our local, but last time for us.

Pleasantly surprised I had Sunday lunch here and the staff were so lovely when I was served my roast beef dinner it was very pink and absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked roast potatoes were fluffy and crispy. Then I had berry and apple crumble and custard it was a tart and the best pudding I've ever eaten I would highly recommend this place thank you

Popped in to The Elephant for a glass of something! After several hours doing some early Christmas shopping. The pub is nicely set out and has a warm cozy feel about it even though it is spacious, which is ideal for anyone with wheels. The bar staff are welcoming and friendly and it was a nice touch to see they had Mulled Wine on the go, it warmed us up a treat. Although we were not dining on this visit I did browse the menu and was pleasantly surprised at the good variety of vegetarian and vegan options, good to know as I have many friends and family that this will suit and I'm not adverse to meat free meals in my attempt to eat healthier. The prices were very reasonable and as I live quite local I'll be trying this out quite soon. If you are into sports then this is most definitely a good place to chill with friends. There are more than enough screens for everyone, so no matter where you are seated, you'll have a good view. There is a nice covered patio garden that I have whiled away several hours in this year with friends. And the toilets are amazingly clean for such a busy popular pub. All in all it is a lovely venue, especially on a cold wet afternoon after the trauma of shopping!!

My family and I really feel the staff went above and beyond to make our experience lovely tonight, the chef made two absolutely fantastic meals, and.the steak really impressed my very fussy partner! The environment is very inclusive and kind and the staff are absolutely lovely and very very sweet and generous, thank you for making our rare date night (with child in tow) an exceptional night :D

Came in for a nice bit of lunch with my wife and dog. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Food was incredible and great music. Donna couldn’t do enough for us and it was nice to see her and the lady with the Greene king top on having a nice little dance behind the bar. Really made my wife smile! Such a pleasant place to be. Highly recommend.
