Had a 2-night stay here during our road trip through Scotland. Would definitely recommend! The B&B itself is located very close to the centre of Inverness (just across the bridge) and therefore it's very central, yet not noisy at all. The host Andrea was very welcoming and kind. Rooms were tidy and spacious for 2 people. The breakfast was amazing, highly recommend taking the pancakes. Perfect for a day on the road. Thanks!

After an extremely long walk to the Kessock bridge, finding this place was a godsend. The place is neat, cute and has an amazing and cozy ambience. The two lady staff who looked after me were amazing. The coffee was top notch as well as the fries. Having that hot cup of cappuccino overlooking the Loch Ness was the best way to finish off my day.

We visited twice during our recent holiday, for lunch both times, having been regular visitors before it closed a couple of years ago. We are happy to report that (if possible), the experience has improved, most importantly the ability to take your dog in, which is a big plus for us. Food is delicious, staff very welcoming, the views are amazing, you are able to book a table in advance and importantly at the moment, the place is scrupulously clean. Well done White Cottage, we will revisit you next year.

This is a breakfast and lunch place that does occasionally takeaway in the evenings. The quality of the food and coffee is first class and certainly the best breakfast we have had in the Inverness area. Lovely views of the Moray Firth - North Kessock is really a suburb of Inverness but it is a world away. The waitress and chef are extremely friendly and welcoming - we have eaten breakfast here three times and each dish has been top notch - special mention of the full Scottish and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

Visited on Sunday with a very warm welcome, tables where cleaned as we entered with plenty of space for social distancing, although only a small cafe with tables outside also. Lovely varied menu with specials on a chalk board. Falafel burger was home made and very tasty along with chips, coleslaw and salad. Venison burger was FAB too. We had two rooms, both of which were lovely and spacious, with everything needed for a great stay. The added bonus was the lounge where we could relax in the evenings with our friends. Breakfast was provided in the tea rooms downstairs and was absolutely delicious- Stuart did us proud. From the cooked full breakfast, the smoked haddock, the omelette- all were served piping hot and perfectly presented. Our friend particularly enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast. Would also recommend the lovely home made scones (which we found had been left out for us one day). Lovely quiet location (car needed) and would definitely look to return if we revisit Inverness.

A regular visitor to this great wee place I am and it just gets better and better. Everything from sandwiches to meals are all freshly made/cooked and always delicious. Popped in for lunch today and was so fortunate that my favourite seat overlooking the water was the only one available. It was so busy that people coming in after us were opting to sit outside on the tables along the front of the building. Although busy, it was such a relaxed atmosphere to be in while everyone waited patiently to be served. The staff were very friendly and polite and managed some banter with all the customers.I had a baked potato and just love the beetroot coleslaw that it comes served with , making a pleasant change from the norm. My husband opted for a small portion size of haddock and chips as we had already decided to push the boat out and have desserts after. Everything is locally sourced produce and while we were there the fish delivery came in from the local fishman ( Billy the Fish). If you have room there is a chilled cabinet full of scones, traybakes and cakes. Portion sizes for these may have you asking for a doggy bag. (Also provided if asked). It will soon be coming up a year since this wee gem of a place was taken over by a great wee team . Far too many tables and chairs in the lovely little cottage on the waterfront. Sat at a table for four but no way would there be room for 4 to sit at it. A lot of racket from us and others having to move tables and chairs to be able to sit comfortably. Would definitely recommend some tables for 4 be made into tables for 2 and at least 1, if not 2, tables be removed.Food: baked potato, which the menu explained was accompanied by beetroot coleslaw and cos lettuce salad. Chose to have the Prawn Marie Rose with this.I expect to get what the menu states and loathe with a passion when I get something else. The cos lettuce salad which I was really looking forward to had one wee sliver of cos...the rest was other salad leaves. It was also coated in a garlicky creamy dressing which I didn’t expect nor want. The beetroot coleslaw was a disappointment...too much mustard and too ‘creamy’ than veg. I could t eat either. The baked potato itself was just on the border of being cooked correctly and, whereas the coleslaw did not have enough sauce, the prawns had too little. Thought we would try a coffee and cake as they looked nice and almost gave up with having to wait so long.Service: very pleasant but not attentive. There was a waitress behind the counter doing nothing but standing with arms folded whilst we had empty plates waiting to be removed. We also wanted to order more food and drinks. Another waitress cleared tables where customers had left! I would Suggest that customers who are still in the establishment be given attention first. We almost left but my stubborn streak was determined to get a coffee.Coffee and cake: Americana coffee was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed a good sized cup. Ginger cake was delicious and a good size portion. Not sure if you can pay at your table or if it has to be on the way out. We paid on the way out cos we could t wait to catch someone’s attention again. There was no where to leave a tip.Recommend? ....for coffee and cake.

My big sis took me here for tea and cake and I wasn’t disappointed. I don’t like strawberry tarts but this was delicious! Freshly made and the flavours were amazing. A perfect ending to a lovely day out and to tie us over until teatime. Will definitely be back when we next visit Inverness!!

We visited White Cottage Tea Rooms, to find much more than a tea room.My wife had a fantastic full scottish breakfast and I chose the Langoustines cooked in garlic and lemon served with chips. Both dishes were delicious as was the coffee. The chef spoke with passion of the local ingredients they had sourced and I will definitely be going back to try their scallops! The new owners were very welcoming and the location spectacular, with views of the sea, hills and distant mountains.

Had a wonderful brunch at the White Cottage Tea Room in North Kessock on Sunday. The food was great, including two flavours of home made jam, amazing pancakes, plentiful coffee (I love it when they automatically top up one's cup!) - and all this overlooking dolphins playing in the water - perfect!

Just visited the White Cottage Tea Room for the first time.. The food was superb - best breakfast I've had in ageas (and I do like a good breakfast). Six clear plates - the pancakes were perfect and the homemade strawberry and gooseberry jam was a really nice touch. The vegetarian breakfast looked really good too. The bonus was sitting watching dolphins jumping right outside, just off the coast - first time I ever saw them in Scotland and didn't realise them came so far in. Will be back on next visit to try the specials!

In Inverness for non tourist reasons, wanted to escape the 'busy - busy' of the city. Remembered from the past eating in North Kessock so headed there and found this place. It may only be only a few miles from town but feels like a world away. We entered and were greeted by a polite young man and were directed into a pleaasant, airy dining area and took our seats at a table looking right accross the firth to the town and felt glad we were not there! Two of us had soup and sandwich the other had coffee, fruit scone with rhubarb jam. The soup, sandwich filling, jam and scone were all home produced everything was delicious. (For the jam maker, a tip - a spot of ginger added could be a good variation). Thanks

Have been in twice since the new owners have taken over. First time my partner and I had lunch. The fish and chips were lovely. Perfect sized portion and really tasty. Returned for coffee and cakes today, not disappointed. Great selection of cakes and they were very tasty. The millionaire shortbread was to die for and the crispie cake was something else. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Will be returning in the near future.

Glad to see the White Cottage opened up again with new owners. Had evening meal here on the day we arrived at the nearby caravan site then came back for Sunday roast the next day. Visited once more during our stay and have to say the food was really good. Had no room for dessert so had scones and cake to go. Next time on holiday will definitely also try breakfast. You're doing a grand job.

Stopped in for breakfast on Sunday 1/7/18. The place has recently been bought over so wasn’t too sure what to expect. Was warmly welcomed and given orange juice and a menu. I picked the bacon , pancakes and maple syrup. They were amazing, the hostess was friendly and the chef came out for a chat between cooking sessions , he explained the pancakes were not shop bought batter but his own mix and he’d personally selected the syrup after trying a few , little personal touches that make all the difference I feel. Worth the short trip over the bridge as it’s also a great site to spot dolphins.

This tearoom is amazing!!!!!!!!! I had breakfast here every morning while I was staying in their lovely b & B upstairs and every day it was delicious. Stuart makes his own scones and jam (rhubarb on this occasion) and they taste amazing. They also serve lunches and teas as well as lots of other delicious homemade cakes. If you are in the area, you definitely have to call in here. Highly recommended.

Having heard good reviews of the newly reopened (and under new management) White Cottage tea room, this afternoon my husband and I decided to wander along and have a cuppa. We were impressed. The tea room is light and spacious, with friendly, approachable staff. Our scones were fresh and lovely (and the blackcurrant jam was among the best I've ever tasted). We weren't hassled, and were able to enjoy a good cup of tea and scone. Definitely will be back.

Lovely wee waterside cafe in the village of North Kessock serving excellent food at great value. Friendly welcome with a good feel of “local friendly service” to all customers. Lovely fresh “cooked to order” food with small and large portions on offer. The homemade meringues are “to die for” - yummy! Wonderful to sit and enjoy your meal and if you’re lucky (as we were) watch dolphins and swans in the Firth - a very special place. Would highly recommend this cafe to locals or visitors to the Highlands en route to do the NC500.
