We popped in on the off chance to get something to eat on the hoof. Very friendly and engaging staff. We just had cake and coffee to eat outside. The decoration and the Wildlife shops were very interesting. Will definitely call in again when we park at the station.

I had a choc fudge cake today and it was so delicious i had to buy a second one. DELICIOUS. Really eco friendly. No plastic in sight. Well done. Staff very nice and friendly. right next door to the train station. My only thing i wasn't too keen on was the toilets could do with a bit of tlc. the seat was broken and in need of a deep clean. It just needed a tidy up. Lovely place all the same.

Been using this cafe regularly since it opened around March time. Lovely cafe and staff always seem friendly. The problem is they used to do at least one vegan cake but the last several times we have battled the tourist traffic to visit they have not got any vegan options on cakes. This results in me feeling guilty tucking into a nice cake 😀 whilst my partner looks on hungry ☹️. This at last may well result in us taking this cafe of our list. They do promote vegan hot chocolate though. 😀

The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly, however we had to wait a while for our food because it was freshly prepared.

Wanted to visit here and did not have change for the carpark, asked if they could give me some change the manager piped up with they can't do that they would be doing it all day. I asked for changed if I brought some thing small and they refused wouldn't waste your time there's alot of other establishments who care about there customers.

This was our first visit since the full revamp and more extensive opening and the excellent vibe is still there, with the lovely period details kept and turned into a lovely place for children to be. It's not particularly cheap but it is good quality (and an income generator for the dynamic local Wildlife Trust) and lovely to be right on the platform. I didn't check whether dogs are allowed inside - hope so as I'd use it frequently if so.

We stayed in the village for 2 night and ended up eating here both nights. No where else took our fancy and it was really good that we came back second night. The prawn starter was amazing and the pie!! Really good service, good variety on menu and delicious food. It was just what we needed after long walks both days!!

Had the pleasure of returning to this delightful country pub with family for a Sunday roast. We received a friendly welcome and the pub was cosy and warm with a roaring log fire. We went straight for the main course and from the selection offered we chose the beef and pork both of which were excellent. Our plates arrived laden with roast potatoes, dauphinois potatoes, roast parsnips, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Our lovely waitress then brought out the vegetables - carrots, green beans, sprouts and red braised cabbage. The meal was delicious and the quantity of food plentiful. The only downside was that we didn’t have enough room for dessert so opted for coffees. Looking forward to returning again in the near future. Thank you to Rob and his Team.
